Fanfiction: Balto/Redwall Crossover
Balto stared at the depth and vastnesses of Mossflower and sighed, aware that Martin was watching him.
"It's beautiful here. The woods, the trees, the green grass. But I need my home. Jenna is waiting for me."
The mouse put his paw on the Abbey ramparts. "Look at my home, Balto. I built it. I cannot let it fall now to these enemies. I know what it's like to wander, and I did so for many years before Redwall was built. I know what it's like to lose a loved one, and lose everything you ever knew. I do not speak of my past here, nor will I ...ever. I promise, Balto, I will help you to get back to Nome."
