Recent Character Redesigns! =D
Well, these designs are all pretty recent, (yup, even Patrick's and Rosie's) and I'm pretty pleased with the outcomes.
Danny- He is the eldest of the four princes, and is son of Dogatto and Diana. He used to be solid greys/blacks and the markings kind of annoyed me because they were boring. So I sort of modified the colours to a brown hue. His markings changed, and they became a mix of his mother and father's with some independent markings. I am actually pretty pleased with his redesign x'D
Charlie- Patrick's father ;3 Charlie was redesigned because I had begun to dislike his original design, and I didn't like rendering it x'D His colours were also given a brown-ish hue, and I developed his markings according to some of his pups, though I did keep some original markings as well. The eye colour had to change since Pat's did, and Pat has his father's eyes. He has similar markings to Patrick, but has his own as well, since the pups don't really have similar markings to each other, apart from similar leg markings. The facial markings are his own independent ones though x3 I absolutely love how his new design turned out, it's really fitting and a lot better than his original design.
Layla- Some of you probably won't remember her, but she was revamped. She was from this family image of Aussie's family a while back: http://www.animationsource.org/balto/en/view_fanimage/Celeste._Pat_s_family_Adopts./67.html&numart=22993&deb=120&display=30
Man, I HATE that design x'D So I improvised and developed a fitting design for Layla's personality, using her original black and white colour scheme, but slightly editing the hue to a slight brown-ish colour. The aqua blue marks on her were spiritual marks that Charlie, at one point, possessed the power to draw {since he is the brother of Aniu}. The symbol on her left shoulder means "faith", and she was given that to declare her faith in that her brother would return home. Her father, Charlie, however has no faith in that at all, but his daughter insisted, so he added the marks. I'm not sure whether I'll keep the tattoos, but after reading the sparkle character rules, a little unrealistic colours is allowed c: I prefer this design, but I'm not sure whether I'll keep those other marks x'D
Patrick- Well, hasn't he improved? xD If you remember his ridiculously plain and boring design that he used to have, which was incredibly similar to Balto's'. I finally got the colour of the light fur how I want it to be x'D The markings on his legs are indentical to Charlie's, but then he has the lighter coloured sock markings on all four paws. His facial markings are from his mother, Arizona, and he has the eye rings like his father, except in a lighter colour. Pat's tail markings are also like Charlie's. The bandanna similarity between Patrick and Layla is that Layla was the one who gave him the bandanna when he was younger as a gift from her. Ever since he was taken, Pat kept the bandanna with him, it represented Layla. Layla also had double of the same one she had given her brother, and since he'd always worn it, she decided from now on to wear her, it reminded her of her brother, whom she missed so much.
Shadow- I'm so pleased with this guy's redesign. He was left with something non-interesting to render, and I think he needed the redesign. Now, his markings are slightly more complex, he has added facial markings with a darker colour, and the light grey markings were added on his chest and stomach.
Sophie- Let's just say, her design was just...boring x'D I improvised with her markings. I lightened her main body colour up, and then added a variation of markings, including facial marks and eye spots. She also has a collar marking around her neck, which then continues down her back. She also has leg markings, and then little odd sock markings on her front paws. She's a cutie! ;3

Rosalie- Well, she just needed a huge revamp. I had begun to hate her name, and I didn't like her pelt colours either. So I went for browns instead, and changed her nose colour to that of Kiara's, pink and spotted. Her markings were slightly raised higher on her legs, but in the same style. I decided she would look better if the tail was just all one colour, and it works. She also has little sock markings on her paws.
Arizona- The mother of Patrick and Layla who are also in this image. Her design is pretty much the same, but with added eye spots and a muzzle marking (Patrick inherits the same markings from his mother). Not much else has changed, apart from the yellow on the outsides of her eyes has been desaturated C:

Well, jeez! These designs took a while, but I'm pretty pleased with the revamps I've done x3

That's what I was thinking, I don't know whether to keep the added little markings x'D I'll probably get rid of the symbol (or change/simplify it a lot x'D) or just keep the ones near her eyes c; Thanks anyway! I think they all look much better now. Nice job. But... Is that a Japanese sign on Layla. Accorting to rules - a little bit of sparkle is allowed, but Japanese signs look out of place. |
