Well, as I said, being afraid does not equate with being a coward. If you're really in a dangerous situation, it's not cowardly to be afraid. At most, it would be more accurate to say that you can't be a hero without saying "no" to cowardice.

Heroism is when a coward decides to be brave.

I'm not sure I understand the logic behind this quote. I mean it's true that courage, the basis of most heroism, can't exist properly without fear, but being afraid does not equate with being a coward.
