Don't you remember...

Original images (C) Universal, I did not draw them. Everything else (C) me, please do not re-use this image without asking.

So this is actually my second attempt at rendering, this time with Balto and Jenna. Any advice or suggestions to help me improve would be greatly appreciated. I'm using Photoshop CS6 but never really learned how to use it well, so this has been a bit of a learning experience for me.

If you're wondering about the text, I had Starship’s 1985 hit “We Built This City” stuck in my head when I was making it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsdj9NRzqC4

I am well aware that they did not build Nome (or any other city or town in this universe) on Rock and Roll, but meh, I think the lyrics I put on the image still work.

O' Cap'n My Cap'n!
Oh dude...TRUST me, there are far worse songs from the 80s than that one. Try Queen's "Radio Ga Ga" (if you can stomach it for more than a few moments of the chorus). And that's one of a few examples...but certainly one of the very worst. If not one of the worst songs of all TIME.

Besides, I never trust those media-generated polls or ratings. They're worthless. I mean, compared to Jefferson Airplane's/Jefferson Starship's/Starship's other works (especially the great songs they released before they dropped the "Jefferson" from their name), it's not that great. But it's HARDLY the worst song of the 80s.

And I know. This was my era...I was a teenager in the 80s. And like a teenager of any decade, I KNEW and was deeply into the music of the time. Even if there was some of it I hated (again, like any teen of any decade).

Thanks, glad to hear I'm not the only one here who likes this song. :p I honestly can't understand why it would have been voted the worst song of the 1980s, it's an amazing song (even if the lyrics are a little silly).

Very creative use of a background screen shot, some art and image work, and then lyrics of a great song! (Never expected most people on here to know songs from the late 80s very well...)
