I like it! A nice change of pairings you see around here!

I'm not too crazy about pups looking exactly like their parents, though I tend to see that on both sides of the proverbial fence. In my opinion senseless reasoning behind a couple is a far greater intellectual offense than simply poor art. Similar appearances, while unrealistic, are a frequent plot device to reflect a character's similarity to the parent they most take after, so for the sake of a visual medium it's forgivable to me. On the other hand when people (and I won't say who; they know who they are) insist on a pairing because of something hopelessly and unredeemably shallow (see the example of Jenna/Steele cited before, also often defended with, "Steele's so HAWT!!!"), that's just nauseating. Also it's been my experience that most people do this, not because they even like Steele or whatever other character as a match for Jenna, but because they hate Balto in that role. Again, lame and intellectually dishonest to boot. Let's face it: Balto was literally made for Jenna and vice-versa. If you don't like it, then for crying out loud find a series with pairs you do like (good luck finding a sensible, independent woman who's stupid enough to go for the muscle-bound, brainless, psychotic egomaniac).

Please bear in mind, I'm not saying "you" referring to you personally, but in a general sense. You (personal) go about this sort of thing with an ounce of brain and some respect for the characters, which is refreshing whatever couple you support.

Yay! A wolf love interest for Balto, I like her with him, I think they'd be really cute together, honestly, I think she's better for Balto than Jenna was. He needs somebody like her. To be truthful, the first time I watched the movie, I hated Jenna X Balto, I simply did not like them as a pair and for a few years I just wished Jenna wasn't in the movie at all (or had an alternative dog), she didn't really play much a part or had that big of a character, except just be plain boring, she got far to much screentime, and the lines and scenes she and Balto had bugged me too. Eh. But, Jenna and Balto have grown on me now, but I really like this girl, and it brings me back to those days when I never liked Jenna for Balto xD Keep up the good work, and I'd like to see more of the two :3

JC --> Agreed. I can't see the point in it either, but I respect the effort that went into it.

I really don't care for alternative pairings. I mean, there's nothing wrong with this drawing. By itself, it's rather nice...even if it is very basic, cartoonish and uses a background screen cap. No criticism of the drawing itself, or the fan artist, is meant. The concept? Not really getting behind it. I understand WHY some fans like to envision this stuff, I just don't see why it's so necessary to do so in the first place.

I'm a Balto/Jenna fan myself, and I usually find that the most determined fans of alternate pairings have the worst reasons (e.g. Jenna/Steele "because they'd make beautiful puppies!" GAG). I'm not seeing that here, though, and your work makes a VERY welcome exception, shaking the status quo without sacrificing any of the characters' defining traits. Good job.

Also, you've got some great artistic skills.

I too like to see other females with Balto. Most of the time though not always. (Because sometimes they're not that great, but she's great. ^^)
Sometimes Jenna with Balto is a bit eh.
But she's gorgeous, & a wolf for him! I want to know more about her.

They never do cuz "BALTO AND JENNA ARE TRUE LUFFS" but this chick is more his type. He needs someone OPPOSITE Jenna to make him a better person.
