Pat redesign *again!*

Pat redesign *again!*

Look how happeh he looks without z red pawr!

Yeah, I decided he looks far more realistic without the red paw, so I got rid of it. Yep, it took a while, but it's officially gone. Hope you guys are gonna be with me on this one, because I honestly think it was the best decision. He still is going to be obviously part red wolf, but I realised he doesn't need the paw to be half and half.

So now, I just need your help deciding on the eyes. I don't know whether to leave them as they are (which I think I'm honestly leaning towards) or change them to the turquoise blue colour which are the colour of the lion version of him.

What do you guys think? I'd also appreciate comments on the decision of the paw.

Troll- Thanks ;3
I don't think the blue eyes fit as well as the brown eyes do.
Yep, he has come pretty far and gone through different designs, and now I can definitely see how boring his very first design was X"D

Grey but not blue. Sure Niju is a wolf and has blue eyes (so it would eventualy fit for Balto universe), but I don't think blue eyes are very fitting for Pat (and make him too doglike for my taste). I'd reccoment experimenting with some shades of browns, oranges, yellows or ever greens if you want to change his eyes xD But of course - up to you. You already made a great improvement with changing Pat's designs from red-pawed Balto to something nice and original.

Chris- Thanks! I'm starting to prefer the brown eyes myself ;3 As for the paw, I sometimes forget it's there. Sometimes when I render him, I just colour all four paws tan accidentally, this said to me that the red paw wasn't an important part of the character ;3
Artic- Yep, that's why I got rid of it c: I see what you're saying there about the eyes, I do like both, and I think the blue eyes work okay, but they work better on the lion and human versions of him c; Thanks again buddeh, I'm with you, I think both suit him well c;
Annita- Thanks, they are huh? XD I know, the blue eyes took a bit of getting used to for me to put them as an option lawl. I agree that the brown eyes still remind me of him more than the blue eyes xD
While I also liked the paw for a while, I honestly realised that it just didn't work well, and on top of that, like I mentioned to Chris, I was accidentally missing out the red paw and not even realising that I'd missed it out. So to me, it didn't really make much difference, or that could just be me. So like me, :hopefully: people are still gonna like him without it, I know I do xD

They're both so cute!
But I like brown eyed Pat better, kinda weird to see him with an other eye color. Sticks better with his personaility?? Hard to explain. xD

Although I do agree taking out the red paw makes him more realistic, I kinda liked his red paw. I felt it made him even more unique. Just yeah.... (I'm not saying giving a character unrealistic markings is the only way to make a character appear unique.)

Okay I'm done. x'D

Ok I agree that removing his red paw make him more realistic

And maybe if he keep the brown eyes, it would look more like a "Balto´s cousin" but I alco know that you feel affinity for the "blue eyes" and this is a "Fan web site" you don´t have to make every character the most realistic possible. I mean, if you like Pat with blue eyes, then give him blue eyes!!

Any way, both eyes (blue or brown) fit very well with him :)

I like one.
I just can't get with blue-eyed Pat. It just makes him feel like a completely different character. That and brown-eyed pat is a tad bit easier on my eyes.
Also, on the paw, I didn't notice until it was mentioned...I don't think I miss it much at all.

Thanks Dag! I think I'm leaning towards the original brown eyes! :D

Jersey- Thank you so much ;3 That's interesting, I thought some wolves could have gray eyes, thanks for confirming that one! C;

O' Cap'n My Cap'n!
Bearing on some earlier comments, a mature gray wolf's eyes can, however, be gray: http://www.runningwiththewolves.org/Anatomy.htm

Nice job, Pat! I also like the idea of eliminating the red paw. It was an anomaly that just didn't work. You're really coming along with this!
