When Fletcher returned by himself with an unhappy expression, Dogatto immediately knew something had gone completely wrong.
'What happened, Fletcher?' he asked, looking directly at Fletcher.
'It wasn't going to work out anyway,' Fletcher answered, 'Kiara and I have ended the relationship.'
The rest of the pack were sat behind Dogatto as they had just eaten meals themselves; they did not expect to see Fletcher back alone. Cleo felt like saying 'Already?', but she decided not to.
'Where is Kiara now?' asked Dogatto.
'I thought she came back here,' said Fletcher, now a little confused.
Not seen by anyone (apart from Cheese), Pat left the area- he knew where she'd be. He managed to make it out without being spotted, and Cheese had decided to speak nothing of it, as if Pat could find her and bring her back, it was obviously for better for worse.
Pat came to Warrior Falls, the waterfall that the pack got it's name after. As he expected, Kiara was stood alone, her feet in the water, crying.
'Kiara?' whispered Pat, looking ahead and stepping slowly into the water himself.
'Pat?' she said, recognizing his voice, she tried to fight the tears that were coming, she didn't want to cry in front of him of all people.
'I guess you had every right to laugh at the thought of Fletcher and I dating, 'cause you were right. I honestly don't know why I thought it would work out for a second- he's way out of my league,' Kiara laughed out of sadness really.
'Hey, I honestly didn't have a right to laugh,' Pat smiled, slightly laughing, but he soon turned sympathetic again, 'and don't say that, Fletcher isn't exactly Prince Charming himself. If anything, you're way out of his league.'
He was now stood beside her, smiling, Kiara couldn't help laughing slightly. No matter how hard she tried to hide it, he always managed to cheer her up. As a smile emerged onto her face, she put her head against Pat's shoulder and cried her final tears.
'Everything is going to be alright, trust me.'

Look who's here to pick up the pieces! ;D Pat is Kiara's shoulder to cry on, whenever she needs someone, he's there- just like he is for Sam. He knows and understands Kiara's losses better than anyone else; they can relate to each other a lot. Despite them not always getting a long, they're still great friends.
