'Avoid any possible encounter with Steele.'

'Avoid any possible encounter with Steele.'

I realised that I had extremely neglected one of my best characters. And yes, yes, people, I rendered Balto -.- It's been a while since I did anything with these two, if you remember, Laura is Balto's adopted daughter. Got it? Right, now image description time! ;D

------------------------------

Balto hurried to find his adopted daughter Laura because of an emergency alert that Steele was lurking about, trying to make conversation with her, teasing her because of Balto. Recently, Rosie had given Laura a new collar because she loved Laura dearly, she was second to Jenna in Rosie's heart. This for whatever reason helped Balto to find her easier.

'Laura!' called Balto, 'Wait up, dear.'

'What's wrong, dad?' smiled Laura, turning around.

'Will you please tell me where you're going before wondering off, you know the dangers around Nome. I don't want to lose you,' said Balto, his smile fading into a serious look.

'Dad, you know I can look after myself now. Don't you trust me? If this is about other dogs around here, then you know I'm more than capable of looking after myself.'

'Of course I trust you, it's just, you're smaller than the other huskies around here,' began Balto, now gulping, 'Avoid any possible encounter with Steele.'

'Is this all about Steele? I can fend for myself, you don't need to worry about Steele. Just because I'm a Border Collie doesn't mean I can't go against a husky who is much larger than me, you of all guys know that, dad. You're smaller than Steele,' Laura too was becoming desperate and didn't like to be put down or doubted, especially by her father.

'Please, look after yourself by staying where I can keep an eye on you,' answered Balto, finishing off the conversation. Laura was a little disappointed that her father doubted her like he did, and she just walked away heading back to her mother's house.

----------------------------------------

Balto really just wants to protect Laura, and it seems to other dogs that he cares more for her even though she isn't "genetically" his offspring, although Balto spends an equal amount of time with his pups. He just wants to make sure she is protected and loved (as she is smaller than his other children), and away from Steele, as he has done with his other children.

Thanks for understanding, Jersey and DT, and thanks for the comments, they are much appreciated as always ;)

@Artic- Yes, it's the famous Laura for the first time in ages XD I've neglected her almost, but I plan to use her much more now in images.

O' Cap'n My Cap'n!
Pat - well, there's certainly time to correct that. It happens. You're certainly not one to skimp on details or to overreact when someone notes little errors. ;)

You're welcome. No worries on the wording; you're not the first person to say something the wrong way when you were tired, and I'm sure you won't be the last either.

Consuela- Thanks C:
Jersey- Why thanks, it's a little difficult to try and make him look older than he was in the first movie, so I tried to make him scruffier as it would probably be.
DT- Thanks c:

On the subject of Balto, from an observation by other dogs in my storyline, Balto spends a great deal of his time looking after Laura, which other dogs misinterpret as "Laura being his favourite", although Balto cares equally for his children (but, honestly, I do think through some parts of the second movie he :might: have found Aleu slightly annoying, but obviously he would not dislike her for it) I guess I should have gone into more detail about that, but it's my fault for not wording everything correctly, as I have to say you should not try to write image descriptions when being as tired as I was, because I literally rushed through the description, nevermind the render. Therefore, it's description editing time c:

O' Cap'n My Cap'n!
I am forced to agree with the previous assessment...I cannot imagine a character like Balto, as he is portrayed in the three movies, preferring any one offspring (blood or not) over another. That is not at all in keeping with the parameters of the character.

A nice image, surely. But otherwise, yeah...

From an artistic viewpoint, nicely done. You did tremendous work on both of them.

From a literary view, I find it hard to imagine a father like Balto loving one of his kids (even an adopted one) more than another. Paying more attention to different kids based on how much they needed, or how much eh thought they needed, yes. Actually holding one above another in terms of value, though, I can't wrap my brain around. Just my own thoughts on the matter. I've seen parents who did do that, but they were nothing like Balto.

You did do a fantastic job on Balto! His physical structure is really spot-on!
