Pat and Kiara followed the other wolves, as the hunting trip was about to begin. The two were hunting partners, and hunting was probably the only thing they didn't argue in.
'There's a great looking herd over there,' said Fletcher with his distinctive American accent, 'C'mon, follow me.'
Kiara looked at Pat, who wasn't moving to follow Fletcher.
'Aren't you going to follow Fletcher?" she asked, as it was what everyone else was doing.
'You don't know me well at all, do you?' said Pat, 'Of course I'm not going to follow Fletcher.'
She smiled at this, and the two headed off in the opposite direction, leaving the others following Fletcher, who just shook his head in disapproval of Pat.

I tried to put Kiara into the style Zilch used for her, which was more of a scruffy and bulkier/non exceptionally thin-legged Jenna, which is what a she-wolf would probably be. Also tried to put Pat in that style, and I'm really pleased with the result.
No, they are NOT maets.
