Aniu:: Drawing / Digital Comparison:: TEASER
TEASER
Back in the summer, I was reintroduced to my love for the Balto movie (yes, in the singular tense), and specifically the "White Wolf" character. After finally deciding to move forward with a rather extreme idea that I've been chewing on for a very long time, I started drawing up character references, starting, of course, with my favorite spirit.
Based on the image you can see some digital edits that I had to make from my original drawing, including the reshaping of the forehead, the eyes, the shoulder ruff, and completely redoing the paws based on my most current style, as well as a few tweaks like leaving out whiskers and fur lines.
As far as this "new idea" of mine goes? Well, you know how strongly I believe in spoilers, so I'll try my best to steer away, but I can tell you this:
~ it consists of several new characters, a series of them, you could say...
~ this series is titled "Sons of Pearls"...
~ and it's based on a family, a family of "Sons," all being related to the movie.
I'm quite excited about it, but it will take a lot of time that I have been simply running low on over the last month, plus some extra brain work, as well as pencil pushing. When all things are considered, however, I believe that "Sons of Pearls" is what my account has always been lacking, and is what "Lady_Aniu" needs.
