Balto goes to the girl and stays with her. He then notices something. He - didn't want to be here. After whahe went through, he would rather die. He hears a twig snap and he looks up. He sees Jason, between 2 trees. He no longer has an ax but a machete. The girl looks in Baltos direction and sees Jason. She creams in terror and stands up. Balto just won't let her die. here and now. He begins to bark vicously and snap at her. The girl looks confused at what used to be a "nice dog". After some more violent snaps, the girl runs away. Balto knows this was good for her.

Balto turns around to see Jason coming slowly at him. Balto runs and launches himself at him. But he was never able to touch him as the machete sliced him right in half. It looks like his wolf side was with his tail end and his husky side was with his head end.
