You and your pack are loping along in the big Alaskan forest. You feel proud that this is your territory, and nothing can take it from you! Running in your territory with your family makes you happy, and strong, I mean you’re the Alpha! And you think to yourself that if anything tried to take that away from you, you’d shred it!

Ironically, as you are thinking this a bear pops out of nowhere, snarling and clawing. You skid to a halt and your pack do the same. Obviously they are frightened, and so are you, but you’d never admit it, and you’re the Alpha you’re supposed to be brave in times of danger. To lead your pack in the right direction!

You become angry, you want to fight, but the bear is huge, and you and your pack are hungry. A fatality now would be disastrous! If you think you must fight, even though you’re taking a great risk, then fight! But, if you think fighting would not be wise at this time then run!
