You hadn’t felt bad about taking the money because you figured your owner had so much of it, she wouldn’t miss a couple bills. But you were wrong. You try to think of a way to get the money back. You doubt you’ll ever see the dog again, and you don’t want to go chasing after him; that would bring you down to his level, and you are obviously superior. You’ve seen dogs and people begging on the streets, but that would bring you too low, also. You end up searching the streets every day for dropped coins, but it doesn’t seem to make a dent in your owner’s financial situation. You don’t know what else to do, though, so you keep searching. One day you come across an abandoned old shed. Without much hope, you snuffled around it, and accidentally push on an old board at the side of the shed. It opens up on a storage place beneath the house. You poke your head in, and you see stacks of green. Money! And more money! Money, money, money, money, money! Just by the amount of bills there are, you know there’s enough for your owner, and much, much more. THE END.
