River was was pawing excitedly at the ground. He had to go with his aunt! Life as a rogue might be better than this, no doubt. Shadow hesitantly agreed to allow River to go with Stone-tooth for a day.

"ONE day is all. I expect him back tomorrow at dawn. If he isn't here, I will rip you apart like there's no tomorrow!" Shadow had spat out to his sister.

"Of course. But if he wishes to join me..." Stone-tooth answered

Shadow was afraid of this part. But nodded to River and said his goodbyes. As did the pack. And in minutes River and his aunt headed out of the clearing to the rising sun.
