A young, white cat mewed out helplessly in the midst of her home, searching for her owners. She listened for a reply, but heard nothing. She slipped sliently through the quiet, deserted house, low to the ground, and stepping ever so lightly. Her ears pricked at the sound of a passing car, and sighed as she lowered her ears once more. She peeked out of the window silently, her short, silent breaths fogging up the window. She meowed at the window when some cats passed by, but them seemed to not hear her and she hopped off the window sill, looking for a way to get out. She slipped out a cat-door that led into the garage and it was partly opened, barely enough for her to fit through. Her slender body was barely capable of slipping through, and she fell on her stomach on the other side. She jumped up onto her paws quickly and glanced around the small town. Cars passed by fairly quickly and humans 'patrolled' the long pieces of hard ground. She sniffed the air, and scented many things. Cars, humans, dogs, cats, food, smoke, trash . . . . . wait, food? Her senses carried her to a store, and she stared through the window longingly. She smiled and slipped in as a human passed through the door and she was overwhelmed with many scents of food. She stared through a window at many varieties of food and before she could attempt to do anything she spotted a human advancing toward her quickly with a long wooden stick with some prickly yellow straw-like stuff at the end (a broom). She gasped and headed for the door but it was closed, and no one was in the store. The human advanced closer and closer and she saw no ways of escape. She saw an open door on the roof but saw no way of getting up there. Maybe she couldjump on the shelves? Or climb the curtains? Whatever she did she had to do it fast.
