"Of course you can come with me." Denali replied. "I don't even know how to hunt. I'll need your help." "Good!" Anook smiled. "I was... uh.. just wondering... how old are you?" He asked. "I had my one-year birthday last month." She replied. "Oh, really?! Me to!" They walked on towards the setting sun, getting to know eachother better. They rested under a pine tree that night, and then travled on through the day. Finally, Denali asked, "Where are we going?" "Well, I know this really nice place, not much farther. It's close to a river, and there's a nice big hill that we could easily dig a den into... and--" Denali cut him off. "That sounds very nice. I would love to go there." She said. They reached the hill the next day, and right away started digging a den into the side of it. Just as the sun was setting, Anook stopped digging and looked at Denali. "What?" she asked. "Fallow me." he replied. Once agian, she fallowed him. He led her to the river he had mentioned. The setting sun had turned it a brilliant shade of gold. "Wow..." Denali said. "It's beutieful. "Yeah..." Anook replied, staring at her. "Absolutly beutieful." She looked back at him. They leaned towareds eachother and kissed. "I love you." Anook said. Denali looked at him, feeling the warm rush agian. "I... I love you, too." They fineshed digging out the den and stayed there for a while. Anook tought Denali how to hunt, fight, and even fish. They had become very close. One day, Anook sprung the question Denali was expecting the least. "Denali," he said, "I have always wanted a family. And now that I have you, I've been wondering... do you want to have pups?" |
