How we ended up. Part One

Note: My style on how Balto and Jenna met,  when they’re pups, the pup age will still go on in part 2.

As the sun rose over Nome, a wolfdog named Balto, who just lost his mother, made his way to a boat.

Balto was just 6 weeks when his mother was lost. He had no friends. He travelled to a boat, meeting a goose. Balto was startled to see a what-ever-it-was in front of him. The goose then said "Vell, who are you?". Balto replied quietly "Balto, and who are you?". The goose then said " I'm Boris, a goose. Vhere are your parents?". Balto replied "My father is.. unknown and I lost my mother, I mean, I can find her" he trailed off. The conversation became deathly quiet. But Boris brought it back up with a reply "Poor Valto, do you want to stay with me in that boat there, I can raise you, as long as you don't eat me". Balto spread a smiled across his face "Sure Boris! , I won't eat you". Balto then became hungry, "I'm going to hunt for a while, though I may not catch anything since I only saw my mother do this once". He setted off towards the forest.

Balto entered the forest, with trees everywhere. He saw a small prey. He stalked it, trying to be careful and quiet as he could. He then jumped on his prey and bit it hard. He then saw it was dead and ate it, it was enough to fill him up. He then started walking back to the boat, following his steps. He reached the boat and saw Boris being licked by two polar bears. He chuckled. "I expect you take care of these bears too, hmm?" he said. Boris nodded, he hated being licked by the two. He then said "The small one is muk and the big one is luk". He then was hugged by luk. He hardly could breathe. He then said "Let me go!". So luk let him go. He whined. Balto looked out of the boat and saw another what-ever-it-was in the direction. He could see animals and stuff there. He asked Boris "Boris, what's that thing called?". Boris said "It's a town, you're a wolfdog, as I can see. So there are animals, like you but only half out there and there are people there". Balto looked at the town, he wagged his tail Animals like me!!! he thought. He was wondering on whether to go there or not.

After thinking for quite a while, Balto asked "Boris, can I go there, please!?". Balto wagged his tail as Boris nodded. He punced out of the boat and landed on his feet. He had a pain there for a while but ran. He then reached the town. He then saw big and small animals like him. He said "Wow!". He then didn't look where he was going and ran into a large black and white husky. Balto then said "Hi! Sorry for bumping you but, what's your name?". Steele then looked at the pup and sniffed him. "Half breed, are you? , my name's Steele, mutt" Steele said rather rudely. Balto lowered his ears "Yes, I'm a half breed, what do you have against that, Steele, And I'm Balto!". Steele snickered "We hate half-breeds, known as hybrids!". Balto growled and chewed on his ear not too hard. "Yes but what have you against it?" he said with his teeth clenched. Steele threw Balto off "Because... you're neither dog nor wolf!". He then called the three dogs behind him, "Kaltag, Star, Nikki, there's a silly little hybrid here, let's tease him!". Balto then was teased and ran off. He made sure they weren't following him but bumped into a rusty red and cream husky. He then said "Hello, I'm Balto, what's your name ?and sorry for bumping into you". "I'm Jenna, nice name Balto and apology accepted.." Jenna said. She smiled.

Balto grinned and thought She threats me much nicer than Steele, Nikki, Kaltag and Star. Balto then said "Thanks, but why do those dogs there hate me for being a hybrid?" He showed her the dogs. Jenna then said "I'm not sure why they hate hybrids.. so you're part dog and wolf eh? cool!". She wagged her tail. Balto then said "Thanks. No one said that before". Jenna smiled then said "I think your heritage is neat". She perked her ears up and saw Rosie calling her. "Oh, I've got to go Balto!". She walked off to Rosie and licked her hand. She followed her owner home. Balto watched closely by. He sighed and trotted off to his boat, anyway, it was getting late.

Balto was near the boat and yawned. He felt the winter breeze blow against his brown fur, he was tired and sleepy so he walked  into  his home and laid on the blanket he found not too long ago. He yawned and curled tightly in the blanket "I'm going to sleep Boris".

Boris chuckled and continued mopping the boat. The wind picked up stronger so Balto went underneath the blanket and slowly fell asleep.

The sun rose, once again across the land, spreading widely. Balto woke up with droopy eyes. He yawned and stretched and saw Boris mopping, as usual. He nudged Boris and smiled “Good morning Boris”. Boris then said “Good morning Balto”. He smiled.

Jenna opened her eyes and yawned. She walked over to her food and water bowl, she drank and ate. She went outside and sniffed the fresh air. She walked around town, looking at the adult dogs.

Steele grumbled as the sun hit him in the eye. He got up and yawned. “Another day to rule” he said to himself and snickered. He ate his food and drank his water, walking around town. He saw Jenna and walked up to her “Hi Jenna, how are you?”. Jenna lowered her ears and said “Fine, you?”. She didn’t like being near him so she walked the other way. “Fine too and where are you going?!” he said, angry and upset. “It’s none of your buisness Steele!” she said as she ran off.  Steele growled.

Balto bumped into Jenna and blushed. “Hi Jen, h-how are you?” he said kindly. “I’m fine Balto” she smiled. They stayed in that position, nose to nose.
