Evening turns to night as a shadowy figure dashed into the snowy, quiet Alaskan wilderness, heading for home. The shadowy creature was a male wolf named Raimundo, who did't feel like being bothered by his pack right now. Moonlight peeked from behind the darkend clouds, revealing the features of Raimundo's wolfish body. He has chcoloate brown fur, with black ears, tail, and a stripe going down his back, along with three black paws. He also had an upper dark grey chest and patches around his dark green eyes.

Raimundo walked towards his cave, sighed,feeling betrayed yet hurt from how his parents had been treating him lately.

"I should be the chosen one, NOT him!"Rai growls, as his ears backed up against his head, in frustration as he entered the nearby cave.

After he entered his cave, he scans the area to make sure that no one was around so that he could go sulk in peace.

"This spot should work,"He muttered as he paces the area before he sits down. After curling up, Raimundo's eyes begin to shut, as he let himself drift off to sleep.

An hour passed, as the rest of the pack decide to head back home from eating their kill.

"Has anyone seen or heard from Raimundo lately?"A familar female voice asked,as Raimundo's ears begin to twitch,hearing someone talking while they entered.

"No, I haven't heard anything from him in awhile as a matter of fact,"A male voice replied, as Raimundo stayed quiet.

"I am sure he is fine where ever he is..."Nira trailed off in thought, before shaking her head before looking into her mate's amber eyes.

"Yeah, you are probably right dear. He is a full grown wolf now, I bet he could take care of himself."Sakujo said while nuzzling Nira.

'If dad is so proud of me, then why am I not chosen to become the next leader?"Rai thought as he shook his head away from what his father had said.

Raimundo couldn't lay there still as his mind interrupted him from sleeping or staying in silence. He wanted so badly to tell his parents of how he felt about them lately instead of laying there in silence.

Raimundo got up from on the warm, smooth cave floor,walking over to them.

"I-I'm right here, why are you looking for me?"He asks,showing himself to his parents.

"We were just wandering why you wasn't joining in our celebration for your younger brothers approval?Sakujo asks.

"I-I just didn't FEEL like going, OK?"Rai starts to raise his voice, not caring if his father does want to punish him for his rude behavior.

Sakujo begins to feel frustrated, at Rai's disrecptful behavior.Now he has to show him who's boss.

"You WON'T talk to me in that kind of tone to me,while you LIVE here, got it?"Sakujo begin to snarl, glaring at his oldest son.

"Guy, guys, don't act like this please. It would only make it worse!"Nira pleads, but doesn't have an effect on the feuding male wolves.

"Maybe I don't WANT to be in this family!"Raimundo shouts, before he felt like running away.

"Like it or not you ARE in this family, so start acting like IT!"Sakujo's anger begin to rasie, as the situations seems to be getting worse.

"Fine, whatever you never appricated or accepted me for who I am anways."Rai said cooly before his dark green eyes shifts away from his parents, before heading out the cave.

"What should we do?"Nira asks, after witnessing their fight.

"Let him go.It won't be wise to talk with him any further than this right now.It would only make me want to fight him. I won't loose my oldest son that way."Sakujo said sadly before Nira nuzzles him in comfort.

"Thank you for being the bigger wolf,"Nira told him before the two wolves head in the cave for the night.

"Stupid mother and father, who are they trying to kid!?"Rai mumbles as he dashes through the snow, never wanting to return back.

While running away from home, Rai suddenly heard a familiar voice shouts his name.

"Raimundo, RAIMUNDO!" a familiar female voice shouts from a distance.

He wheeled around, getting ready to face who's been calling his name.

"Oh, it's just you, What you do want?"He asks, feeling sour.

"I-I -I just want to talk to you. Why are you thinking of running away?"The female wolf pants, before reaching towards him.

"It's none of your buisness why I wish to be alone,"He growls, glaring at the female wolf.

The female wolf's name is Amaranth. She is Raimundo's childhood friend. They grew up together as pups. But Raimundo doesn't know that Amaranth has a crush on him.

Moonlight begins to shine down on Amarath, revealing her true colors under it's beam. She is a light grey wolf who has dark brown ears, tail and stripe going down her back, along with having tan spots around her teal eyes. She also has yellow cream paws.

"Maybe I can help ease your pain if you tell me exactly what is bothering you?" Amaranth offers as Rai shot her a nastly glare at her before walking away.

"No thanks. I think I can handle my own problems."He snarls, walking away.

Amaranth stood there, feeling as if she let her crush drown in himself.
