Kelev - I am a big fan of T.S. Elliot. For some reason I feel like
this poem is a big rip off of "The Wasteland". Not in words but in
feeling. Oh well, at least you liked it.
Midknightwolf - Thank you. If I evoked emotions of empathy and sadness
for Balto I would say that my mission was accomplished.
Dragon Tamer - Thanks man. You've always been a big inspiration for
my work.
Redwolf03 - Thank you very much. I purposefully made it a little jerky
like this to evoke emotions. Plus the structure was designed to
reflect uncertaintity and feelings of self-worthlessness. It is more
like a narrative, but not long enough. Besides I feel that it's too
poetic. I mean, who talks like this outside of poetry?
Very nice! I'm not surprised it got onto the Must-See List. Good job,
Of Wolfdog and Man! You got Balto's perspective down perfectly, and
the little pieces about his past that you interjected, like the man at
the bar that named him, that just made the poem so unique and good.
The flow of it was a little jerky at times, like it could have been a
narrative instead of a poem, but for the most part, very well done.
This shows promise! *faves*

Wow, this was an awesome poem! It was so descriptive, and a little
humorous at parts, but it was also very touching to me. I felt a
little emotional after it, but not for that long. xD
This was a really touching piece. Plenty of emotion that really makes
you feel for Balto. If your this good writing short fics, I would
really like to see you take on a longer piece. Well done!
It's not at all hard to see how you made the Must-See list. You may
not have a complex plot here, but you combine that simplicity with a
style and depth that could be understood by the simplest child, and
yet give pause to the greatest thinker. I'd give my eye teeth to
capture details this well.
I really liked this! It was kind of like a free-verse poem...very
descriptive, and with little humorous bits in the right places. Keep
up the good work.
