Forever and ever hun.

     Annabell lay in the cave crying.For the past few days her life has been ruined.She had stayed there since the day of her father's death.She had barely eaten anything and only had a few drinks from the creek.She looked up as her mother walked in.She had been crying the whole time too.She had the stength to move though.

     I look at my mother as she came over and lay down next to her.

"M-m-m-mom?"I say looking at her.

"Yeah hun?"she says.

"Why did daddy have to die?"I asked,nuzzling her.

I watched as my mom mused this over for a few minutes.She hesitated then said,"I don't know.There's a reason for everything.Some things you don't understand.Others you can understand perfectly."she answered.

     I nodded and tried to sleep.As soon as my eyes close the scene of my father's death plays in my mind.I yelp and my mom jumps.

"Anna?Annabell!What's wrong?"She asked.

I started trembling and moved closer to my mom.My mom started crying,understanding.I cried into her fur and started whimpering.

     A few days I recovered enough to get up and walk around.I stood up and walked out of the cave.I walked to the creek,my throat felt like it was on fire.I took a long drink until I was satisfied.I slowly walked back to the cave.I layed down next to my mom and fell asleep.I had and odd dream............

      I walked through the forest,terrified.I don't know why.I started running.I cried as a ran through the trees.I tripped and fell.I had a scratch on my side.I cried as I curled up into a ball.I looked at the scratched on my side as a drop of blood dripped out.The. I looked up.I heard a sound,almost like singing.Then I saw a light and and a figure walking towards me.I watched as I figured out that it was my father!I stood up and immiediately ran towards him.

"Daddy!"I squealed as I snuggled into his fur.He chuckled deeply and I smiled.

"Watch."he wispered as he touched my scratch and it disapeared.I gasped and asked,"How'd you do that daddy?"I asked.

"I'm an angel sweetie,"he answered.

"I thought this was real!It seems like it!"I cry as I realize this is a dream.He frowned.

"It's only a dream.I will always be with you in your dreams......and in your heart."he says.

I smile at him,"I love you daddy."I say nuzzling him.

He smiles back,"Forever and ever hun."he says.

I look at him,it looks like he's making a decision."What's wrong daddy?"I ask.

"Nothing,"he says looking down at me and smiling but I can see it in his eyes that he needs to tell me something.

I ignore it and ask,"Will you visit the rest of the family's dreams?"I ask.

     Then the dream ends.I frown as I wake up.I want to be back in the dream.I start to cry again then I remember what he said,'I'll be in your dreams and in my heart,........Forever and ever hun.'I stop crying.

"He'll be back later,"I wisper and go back to sleep hoping he'll come back.He doesn't though.

     When I wake up I swear I've gone insane.I couldn't have seen him in my dream.I must be going insane.I get up and shake my fur,attampting to shake it off literally.It doesn't work and I go and get a drink.

I walk over to my mom,"Can I go into the forest?"I ask.I was going to see if I could find him.

She looks at me curiously,"yeah......"she answers.

     I nuzzle her and run into the forest.I walk through the trees.I remember my dream and start running.I trip and see the scratch and gasp,then smile,it's coming,I know it.I look around and listen I notice it looks dark in the forest.I look at my scratch a drop of blood squeezes out.I grin again the I hear some yelling.I shrug then see a light..........

     I see a figure but not in the shape of a dog.....but a human.He picks me up and sees the cratch.He carries me through the forest as I cry.The dream did mean something,just not what I expected.I examine him.He has soft kind blue eyes.His face is worried,probably because of me.He is  young and has nice strong hands.I wimper and he looks down at me.

"What's wrong little pup?"he asks.

I tilt my head at him and he laughs.At least he'll be a kind owner...........
