"I'll be back soon." said a reddish and white wolf to a small white wolf pup. He touched noses with her as he handed her to an elderly wolf. "Take care of her." he said to the elder and turned away. "Brother don't leave me!!" the pup cired as the elderly wolf carried her away The male didn't look back and tears ran down the pup's cheek as it howled out to her brother who disappeared.

Quynan gasped and looked around her room. She sighed and layed back down for a mintue. The sun peeked through the window. She yawned and headed to the courtyard where other white wolves, like herself were playing. She began to play with them, yipping happily. A bark was heard behind her and many elderly wolves stared at her and beckoned her to come over.

"How can I be the avatar? I thought my brother was?" she said. Her ears lowered as there was an akward silence between the elders as they silently looked at eachother. "Quynan," said Quynan's guardian, Lee Sha. "your brother has been killed by the Fire Nation. Souzin is planning a attack on the other nations, we need you, Quynan." he said with a blank face. Quynan looked away as tears fell.

"She needs to leave to complete her training!" growled a wolf toward Lee Sha. "Quynan needs not only training, but a normal life." Lee Sha said back to the wolf. The wolf scuffed, "you can't keep proecting her from her destiny, we need what's best for the world, not for her!" the wolf growled again. "Saddly, I agree with him, Lee Sha. We need to think what's good for the world and for what's good for her, but you are growing attached to her and blocking your judgement. You and Quynan will be seperated." said another elderly wolf. Lee Sha sighed and looked away. The other wolf smiled.

Quynan gasped and ran to her room. Tears welled and fell down her face. Thunder crackled in the distance. She looked up, tears still stained her cheeks. She opene dher wings and flew away into the storm.

"Quynan, I won't them take you away from me.....Quynan?" Lee Sha said as he walked into Quynan's now empty room. He picked up a pieice of parchment, gasped and looked out to the storm.

Quynan flew as fast as she could to get away from the Air temple. She flew over a ocean and into a cove. A large wave rose from behind her. She looked abck and her eyes widen as the wave began to fall. She tried to fly faster, but against the wind it was futile. The wave crashed into her back and she tumbled into the cove. Her head sunk under water as she sunk to the bottom of the icy cove. Her eyes opened, glowing white and her arrow as well. She slammed her paws together and the water around her forze, enclosing a glaicer around her.........
