As Balto watched his young pups play in the sand on that sunny afternoon at the beach, many memorable memories rushed through his head. Balto looked up to the sky and thought back to the times he was young and wild like his young ones.

It was a sunny day, and balto and his mother had took a walk down to the beach not too far from where they had been hunting. It was the only way to get to the other side of the forest. While Aniu ran off through the soft ground, Balto began to play in the sand. Aniu stopped and went back.

"Balto we must hurry before the hunters come" but there was no hunters around.

"But i wanna play in the sand mother" Balto giggled. Aniu looked about and then at her son and smiled.

They played chase, rolled around in the sand and jumped in the sea for around an hour. Balto tried to dive and when he came back up had a small colourful fish in his mouth. Aniu laughed. Balto looked at her, spat the fish out and smiled.

Although Balto had many memories he wanted to remember, there were many that he wanted to forget.

As Balto and his mother rolled in the sand, Aniu stood quickly in alert. Hunters. Hunters were comin and quick. She quickly grabbed Balto in her mouth and ran to the other side of the forest. As she continued to run, she could see bright lights ahead of her and also behind her. Aniu knew there was no other way to get out of this but fight. She found a smallish hole under a rock which she put Balto in.

"Balto, I don't want you to move from under this rock. It's too dangerous."

"But mother, when will you be back for me?" Balto asked. Aniu looked at him and licked him. She then smiled slowly and ran away.

As Balto lay under that still rock he could hear the howling and growling of his mother and some other wolves who had joined them too. It sounded like a very bloody fight and new that this could be goodbye for his mother.

When the war had finished, Balto climbed out from under the rock to find a river of blood and dead bodies, both wolf and human, lying in front of him. He searched around for a little while checking every wolf to find hid mother, but there was no sign of her.

Balto new that she was gone and decided that he would continue on to find safety.

After around four days Balto came to a small town called Nome. He walked around a little trying to avoid the humans, but then was caught by suprise by a little white goose.

"Hi there!"

Balto stared at him blankly.

"My name's Boris. What's your's?"

"B-Balto. My name's Balto."

"Balto, eh? Never heard that name before. Are you new around town?"

"Emm, actually, I was just passing through. I need to find my pack for saftey."

"Oh, right, well, i see." Boris said disappointedly.

"Is something wrong?" Balto asked.

"No, it's just i don't have many friends around here. I was hoping that you would be my friend."

"Really, well, I suppose I could stay around for a few days."

And the days turned into weeks and the weeks turned into months. Eventually, Balto and Boris were family. Nothing could stand in their way apart from Steel.

"Hey, wolf boy! I see you've been hunting down geese lately!"

Balto looked at Boris and then back at Steel. He decided he wasn't even going to answer back and began to walk away, but Steel got the better of him and managed to catch Balto just before he left.

"So, Balto I heard there's a new girl in town. Well actually, her humans have been living here for a while but this is her just coming now. Fancy going to talk to her for me?"

"Why do you need me to do it? Your enough of a doofus to do it yourself."

"Hey! I am not a doofus. I just feel that you should get to talk to her first."

"If I was going to ask her to be anybodys, I would be asking if she would be mine. I don't ask for others unless they are family."

"Oh yeh," Steel said. "Well, how about we see who can get to her first."

When Balto and Steel began to fight for the girl, she was falling for Steel the most.

"So Buffalo, want to give up yet?" Steel was walking townards Balto with the beautiful girl walking beside him.

"I said do you give up yet, Buffalo?"

The girl laughed.

"I'm not giving up. Not against you anyways," Balto growled.

"Do what you want, puppy dog, but incase you haven't noticed, I already have the girl so it's going to be impossible for you to ever win. But then again, I have the girl which means I win. Ha ha ha!" and Steel walked off.

"Don't worry, Balto. He's just a jerk. She will soon see what he is like and come to you. Just wait and see," Boris sais trying to encourage Balto.

"Yeh, I don't think so." Balto relpied and they both walked off.

But as years went on, what Boris had told Balto began to come true and finally, Balto got his chance and he and the girl fell in love.

This brings us back to where we left Balto on the beach. As he watched his pups play and roll in the sand just like he did, he didn't want them to grow up, but new that one day they would. He wanted them to remain the way they were right that moment and he wanted to remain with that one girl he fell in love with all those many years ago. His one and only love, Jenna.
