Iliamna’s First-Love Character Sheet

Characters:

Iliamna:
A bubbly, sensitive, and fretful dog, which is the main protagonist in this story.
Kodiak (Kodi):
Iliamna’s father, son of Balto & Jenna of Nome; second lead dog for the mail-dog-sled-team of Nome.
Sandy:
Iliamna’s mother, daughter of Crysta & Garret of White Horse, Yukon; mate of Kodiak and mother of all his pups. A beauty of a mix-bred dog, but worries sometimes over her children’s choices.
Attu:
Iliamna’s sister and her second-best friend, even though Attu can be a bit mean to her, in a sarcastic sense, but is always there if Iliamna needs her.
Balto:
The famous wolf dog of Nome who long ago (in dog years) saved the town of Nome from the diphtheria plague. Mate of Jenna, father of Kodiak, and grandfather of Iliamna.
Jenna:
Balto’s loving companion and faithful mate, and mother of his pups. Mother of Kodiak and grandmother of Iliamna.
Boris:
A goose from Russia that somehow came to Nome, and took it upon himself to raise Balto and two polar bear cubs, Muk & Luk. Mate of Stella.
Muk & Luk:
Two cute and a bit dim-witted polar bear cubs who are always together, and live with Balto and Boris on their boat.
Stella:
An attractive female goose with a fun personality. For some odd reason she’s attracted to Boris who is not like her in most ways except for a few, as in their jokes and sense of humor.
Clyde, Chide, & Maple:
Three good friends of Iliamna.
Maple:
Iliamna’s best friend, who’s an attractive purebred chocolate-copper colored Siberian husky with light brown eyes, along with a snazzy attitude and takes looks very personally especially her own, and dislikes Attu, and the rest of Iliamna’s family (mostly the members in it that aren’t purebreds). She met Iliamna in Iliamna’s second dog-show. Maple kept her secret of Iliamna not actually being a purebred that her owners lied about because they needed the dog-show money. Whenever Maple’s reminded of Iliamna actually being a mix-breed she ignores it, or makes a rude remark back to whoever mentioned it.
Chide:
Maple’s older step-brother, who has an enormous crush on Iliamna. Unfortunately he’s a lot like his grandfather, Steele, especially when it comes to girls. He’s a darkish grey coated husky, malamute built and husky mixed with blue eyes like Steele’s. He cares for his siblings (blood related or not) and his friends a lot, even though he might not show it.
Clyde:
A silver coated husky, malamute built and husky mixed with a hoaxing attitude of a joker, is a good friend of Iliamna. He’s also Maple’s younger step-brother, and the younger brother of Chide, who are both grand-offspring of Steele. Clyde spends most of his time lagging around either Maple or Chide who both think he’s a nuisance, but care for him neither the less. He always brings a smile and a good joke to Iliamna’s presence when it’s most needed, which she deeply appreciates, but doesn’t appreciate him being a ladies hound when other female dogs are around in Iliamna’s presence.
Fido:
A jet black and white Siberian husky that’s Chide’s cousin and is much more patient than Chide, and is also in sights of interest of Iliamna. He takes most ladies away with his proper charm, and gentle attitude. He starts acting a bit arrogant when he realizes that Chide is also interested in Iliamna, which his twin sister Monika, gets upset about.  
  Monika:
Fido’s twin sister, who’s a dilute silver and jet black parti-colored coated Siberian husky. A lot wiser and smarter than most dogs, she has the motherly instinct and intelligence, even though she’s never had pups of her own. She and Fido had been very attatched to each other before they moved to Nome, from Whitehorse, like Sandy did; but then when Fido thinks he’s losing his chances with Iliamna because of Chide, he becomes more arrogant and it makes the siblings become more distant towards one another. Most dogs in town including Iliamna, think it’s strange that Monika doesn’t blame Iliamna for this incident.
Prologue:
Iliamna walked quietly around the town alleys.
She hummed softly as she listened to the night sounds around her.
She remembered her mother always telling her and her siblings as a pup,
"Don't go too far pups! The night is wonderful, but dangers lurk behind every corner when you're not in insight of the things around you!"
Iliamna chuckled at that memory and padded on, her tail now lowering. She continued to hum again, thoughtfully.
She turned many rights and lefts down the alleys of Nome, leading farther and farther away from the main parts of town, coming closer to the woods and forests, and mountains and glaciers and other wonderful wonders wildlife offered.
When Iliamna reached the end of town towards the wildreness, she glanced around in each direction. Then seeing it was safe, and clear, she padded on.
Then she stopped slowly as she spotted an old White Spruce tree.
Sap stuck on the side, seeming like something had despreatly tried to crack into it. Pine cones hung still from the withered and delicate branches.
Iliamna pattered around the tree in a circle and then sat down as she spotted the firmiliar marks of dog-made scraped marks from three dogs.
"Good midnight Lonely Oak. I've missed you so. How many years has it been since I've seen you last?" She asked the old tree. Silence was her answer. She smiled.
"Yes, you're right. It's been far too long."
Iliamna laid down in the cold snow next to the tree, not minding the small ounces of sap that stuck through her pelt.
It seems like only yesterday... when I first found you Lonely Oak.... do you remember...?
Iliamna asked in her thoughts. Then she got up, and dug at what looked like an old upright tree root belonging to Lonely Oak, but it was really a fallen branch from a different tree many years ago, that had been used to hide poscisseions.
Ilimna dug and dug, until she found what she was looking for... her old collar.
