leaning his back on Rain at they both caught some air.  "Hes right" Angel breathed "Wh-at were you two do- doing?"     "Come on Angel cakes, you said you wanted some fun" Now it was Storm's turn to prance  "We got dinner for tonight" He said finally, smiling gallantly.  "Wow, where did you get all that meat?"   "WE" Alic stressed, got it from the butcher's Alic said finally cathcing his breath and sitting by Storm the same smile on his face, Strom showed his teeth in disgust, but changed his expression when Angel truned back around. "You two are something else" She smiled.

That night, they stayed out in a clear lot they had used ever since they were pups just learning to walk. They ate to thier fill and the meat was good, Storm with the help of Billy built a fire. It's hard work only using you mouth to rub two stick toghether, I mean all humans have to do it light a match but it is possible for a wolf to do so, well at least for Storm anyway. Soon all the others, began to clear out but Angel and Storm stayed, staring into the fire quietly. "Thankyou for tonight"  Angel smiled  "I didnt get the meat" Storm admitted, "It was actually Alic's idea" He sighed disappointed "I know, but Alic's not here, you are"  She smiled  "Are you glad?"   He asked "Yea" She agreed. Storm grinned slightly, and Angel shivered a little cold even close to the fire. "Are you cold?"   "Not too bad"    Storm moved closer to her anyway, putting his head across her back. "That better"    "Much"   They both smiled and for awhile they talked. Mostly about the day and past memories they had had together. Angel hadnt admitted it, neither of them had, but Storm was easy to talk to, she could say anything and he would understand. Every time she was with him she felt like she could do anything, and she liked it.  Before either of them knew it they were fast asleep, the fire still glowing.

The weather was rough, but the body close to me was strong and warm, I felt safe and I knew I had nothing to be afraid of. I fell asleep fast curled up by the soft fur. The lightning flashed and there was someone standing in the door way, but the face was too hard to make out, the wolf seemed to be waiting for something. Suddenly, the Wolf next to me bent his head down low. "I'll love you always" It said gently, then slowly it began to move. No daddy dont leave, you promised youd never leave, Daddy come back, the lightning flashed agian I was scared I whimpered loudly but he wasnt there, I was alone, Daddy dont leave Daddy come back you Promised Daddy!

Angel jumped awake as a brach fell from a tree on the reamains of the burned out fire. Storm moved off of her. "Are you ok?"   He asked , she must have looked as scared as she felt. "Yea I'm fine"   She tried to play it off, but another Storm trait was being able to see a lie through people. "Really it was nothing just a bad dream" Angel said but she couldnt look him in the eye. "The same one?" He asked, she had talked to him before about stuff like this.  "Yes" She finally admitted  "Do you want to talk about it"   "I dont know what good it will do, it wont change anything, each time it's the same, I see my dad and one minute hes there the next hes not and theres nothing I can do to stop it, I dont know what it means, I wish I could just make out all these flashes, none of it makes sense" Angel buried her head in Storms warm fur as he nuzzled her, trying to comfort. "Shsh its ok, we can figure it out, hey, maybe this wolf over in the Frisco pack"  Storm said  "Frisco, what?"   "Yea, theres this wolf, shes very old but shes known for helping people understand dreams and stuff, sorta like a doctor or something"  Storm said, but he saw the doubt in her eyes. "Seriously, we should go, we can figure this out"  "We?" Angel asked suprised "Yea we, I'm not leavin you" He smiled, she grinned suddenly feeling a  little shy even with Storm. "Sounds like a plan" She said  thankfully, lightining gave a quick flash in the dark sky. "Yea, well we better get you home right now, it looks like the weathers gonna try and get rough out here" Storm said rising to his feet, and trying to keep the strong wind from knocking Angel over.

He walked her home and told her tomorrow they would go to the old wolf. Every time he spoke softly and encouragingly to her, promising he would see this through with her. Angel felt a spark, something she couldnt explain, but it made her nervous and her heart raced. She was glad he was there, she was afraid, maybe to proud to admit it, but the past had always frightened her, what if everything was..

"Whos there"  A scrathcy voice growled.  "Its me Grandma" Angel said shaking some water from her fur.  "Angel" Anita said coming from the shadows. She was a big white wolf, tall and lean with big paws and a thick coat that gleamed in the night. Angel wondered if her father had looked anything like her.  "Where have you been?"    "I fell asleep out in the lot, I'm sorry if I worried you"   Angel said  "Its ok, I'm just glad your out of the storm, I think its gonna get bad tonight"   The wolf said, nuzzling her grand daughter. "Here you better get some sleep, we dont want to wake your grandfather"  Anita smiled as a gently woof sounded from the next passage in the den.  "Is he feeling better?"  Angel asked laying down after truning around in a comfy ball. "I think so" Anita smiled  "He just had a small cold, he'll be his old self in no time"  The old wolf smiled once more. "Good night  dear"   "Good night" Angel  said, as Anita left her alone in the solitude of the den. Angel thought back to what Storm had said, we'll figure this out togehter. That would give her comfort, if, if she only knew what it was she would be finding out. She was sure it had been her father in the dream, she could still feel him nuzziling her and his soft voice in her ear like it were happening now. Then she thought back to the things Anita had told her about her mother. If only they were here, Angel thought hopelessly, they'd know what to do.

The night before had brought a fitful sleep, but then agian ever since the nightmares had crept into Angel's life no night was good. She wasn't even sure if you could call them nightmares, it was to real to be a dream, like a memory that was to far back to be clear yet there it was, replaying itself over and over agian, like it was trying to force her to remember, but she wasn't sure she wanted too. The past was frightening. Every time Angel tried to think back she was forced to a point of being alone, she felt like she was all alone in the world, she was scared and upset and all the emotions rolled on to one. One minute her minute her family was close and she was safe the next trapped in a suficating darkness, un-able to re-grasp the light.

She got up slowly, her joints acking terribly from her tossing sleep. It was a bit later in the day, she had slept longer than she had meant too. She hoped Storm would still be going with her, she couldnt face the darkness alone.

"Good morning" Anita smiled nuzzling Angel.  "Morning, Anita it's in the middle of the afternoon" Jacob said clearing his muffled voice. "Jacob give her a break, the poor dear wasnt feeling to well"   Angel cocked her head, "I feel fine"   "You slept horribly last night, You kept talking in your sleep"   Anita said.  "O" Angel tried to play it off "Well I'm a lot better now"  Angel smiled.  'Good to hear Angel"  Jacob smiled "How about you Grandad?" "Right as rain" He smiled "In fact, you want to go rough it around, go hunt in the far woods, have some fun with your old Grandad"  He smiled getting slowly to his feet with a slight jump.  "Ah, I'd love too, but I promised Storm I would meet him some place"  Angel hesitated "Storm, Harold's boy?"  Jacob asked  "Yes thats the one"  Angel said hiding a smile  "You don't need to be hanging around that boy, All you'll get is trouble.."He started to go on. It didn't really have anything to do with  Storm Jacob was just very protective, no one was good enough to be around Angel, everyone brought trouble, and no one could be trusted. It use to bother Angel a great deal but one time when she had gotten in an argument with Jacob over it, he sighed and told her he cared about her, and that he was keeping a pomise he had made to her Father before he died, she had never questioned his judgement, only accepted it knowing he loved her and that it was for the best. "Now Jacob, Storm is a fine young wolf, his parents have been great friends of the family" Anita gave Angel a smile, going behing her mate and nuging his shoulders with her head.  "Well still, I want you to be careful"  Jacob gave in to Anita, he always did.  "I will Grandad" She kissed his cheek. "Bye, I'll see you both later"  "Be careful"
