He hoped that she was a mix, but something wasn’t right about that. Then the vet got out his book of wild dogs, and wolves. Then as he looked at a certain breed it seemed to match.

  The vets new discovery led too a big choice. Then the vet came too the owner’s house and wanted to talk to the Parents privately. Kodi was with Karma in another room. “I wanted too a talk too you about your new dog Karma. I was curious about her breed and it seems she isn’t a domestic dog, she’s a Ethiopian wolf.”, the vet explained, “This isn’t an issue, and she’s perfectly healthy, but just how she got here, is a mystery.” Kodi’s owners were worried. As the vet was about too leave he said, “Don’t worry, I bet she thinks she’s a dog. You don’t have to worry about her temperament. Just live your life normally, and make sure she doesn’t bump into anything.” The last words of what the vet said, made the Owner’s not worry. Instead, they felt lucky.

  The next morning Kodi woke up unusually early. He walked out too the living room, his boy’s parents where talking about wolves. “So what do you think about Karma, an Ethiopian Wolf? Sounds fancy!”, One of them said.

   “Yea, I wonder what her and Kodi’s pups will look like..” the other one replied. Kodi stood still. He couldn’t believe his ears. Karma, a wolf. Moments later, Kodi ran out the door, and ran too Jenna’s house.

   “Mom! Mom are you home?”, Kodi called.

   “Yes dear. Is everything alright?”, Jenna yawned.

   “Karma is a wolf!”, Kodi blurted out.

   “A what?”, Jenna gasped.

   “An Ethiopian Wolf!”, Kodi said.

   “I don’t believe it...”, Jenna quietly said, “Does she know?”

   “No, and she won’t. We have to keep her from finding out.”

   “Ok, fine. I will tell your dad though.”

   “What are we going to do?”, Kodi stressed.

   “Nothing. Just treat her normally.”

   “Yea..”

Kodi has bin off for a few days, from his mail job. The next day he’ll be off too work again. Hopefully it will give him time too think.

 

 

    Kodi ran home to check on Karma. When he got there she was lying on the floor nervously.

 

 

  “Hey Kodi…What happened? How did I get here?”, Karma asked worried.

 

 

  “You where attacked by that wolf, and he hurt you very badly. And now your home.”, Kodi explained.

 

 

  “Home? This is not home. This is your home.”, Karma said struggling to get up.

 

 

  “Please stay down, and rest. And my owners took you in, Karma. You have a home now.”, Kodi said cheerfully. Karma slid back down to the floor. Karma stayed silent. “Hey, are you ok?”

 

 

   “No, I’m not ok. Kodi, I liked having my small home, were I can be free. Now, I’m trapped in this house, like a fly in a web. Kodi wasn’t sure how he would react to her response.

 

 

   “It’s not as bad as you think. You see..”, Kodi was cut off.

 

 

   “No, I don’t see.”

 

 

   “Obviously..”, Kodi mumble under his breath.

 

 

   “I’m not deaf..”, Karma slightly growled.

 

 

   “Please give it a chance…Please??”, Kodi pleaded.

 

 

   “Fine…As long as your boy doesn’t..”

 

 

   “KARMA!! I GOT YOU A COLLAR!!”, Kodi’s boy shouted bursting through the room.

 

 

   “Give me…a…collar…”, Karma slightly continued her sentence. Kodi’s boy swung the collar around Karma’s neck and latched it on. It was a light pink, with a lavender colored border. “Kodi how do I look? Ridiculous?”

 

 

   “No, beautiful.”, Kodi said. Karma giggling uncontrollably. “What, what did I say?”, He asked.

 

 

  “Nothing…It’s just weird.”, she answered.

 

 

  “What’s weird? A collar? A new home?”

 

 

  “Both and you.”, she said playfully.

 

 

  “I try!!”, he said laughing, and then she started laughing, so hard they fell on each other. Still laughing, Kodi and Karma, bunk heads accidently.

 

 

  “OW!”, they both said.

 

 

  “You have a solid head.” Karma said. Kodi stood up shaking themselves.

 

 

   “Hey, if your up too it we can walk to the beach.”, Kodi suggested.

 

 

   “Are you kidding? I was born up too it!” Karma said. So they did. But they weren’t alone. Dixie and Sylvie were fallowing. After a while of walking and talking, it was sunset.

 

 

   “I had fun today with you Kodi.”, Karma said.

 

 

   “Me too. Just like old times.”, Kodi said.

 

 

   “Dixie! This is a perfect chance! Do it!!”, Sylvie whispered. As Kodi and Karma stood talking face to face, Dixie push Kodi! Dixie and Sylvie ran away. Karma stood silent. Kodi’s nose was a few centimeters away from hers. They both pulled in. As they kissed, it got dark, but then the northern lights appeared. When the long kiss was over, they walked home together. Kodi was super happy, and satisfied. So was Karma. They were thrilled.

 

 

 

 

Chapter 5

 

 

 Kodi woke up early, he had to hurry to go work. Karma walked with him. When he was about too leave she stole another kiss from him. She even did it in front of Jenna and Balto. Jenna was thrilled, Balto was proud of his son.

 

 

  “Oh my god! You and Kodi!”, Jenna excited.

 

 

  “What?”, Karma smiled. Happily that their dogs are in love, Karma’s new owners took her home. When Kodi arrived from his day at work, he rushed home.

 

 

  “Karma!”, Kodi called in a happy excited mood.

 

 

  “Yes?”, She said curiously.

 

 

  “I’m so happy!”, He said kissing her.

 

 

  “About what?”, Karma said in a giggle.

 

 

  “Just because I’m with you, forever!”, he said nuzzling her.

 

 

  “I am too.”, Karma replied, “Do you want to meet up with everyone?”

 

 

  “Yea! Lets do it.” When they arrived, everyone cheered.

 

 

  “Why is everyone cheering??”, Karma said.

 

 

  “Everyone is happy for you, since your last mate you’ve bin troubled. But now you have a better, sweeter mate.”, Dusty said cheerfully. Everyone was happy and they were talking and it was loud. Dixie, Sylvie, and Dusty pulled Karma outside so they could talk privately.

 

 

  “So Karma, how are you and Kodi?” , Sylvie asked.
