Snow drizzled lightly to the ground and the morning sun shone across the newfallen snow. A young wolfdog paced back and forth across the beach tears leaking from his eyes.
He sniffled and slowly stopped in his tracks to gaze thoughtfully up at the sky.
"What's wrong Balto?" came a voice from behind him.
Balto turned around to find himself facing a beautiful young red and white husky.
"I-It's nothing." he reassured. "It's just- Universal Studios burned down overnight and- and that means no more movie making."
Jenna looked at Balto long and thoughtfully before looking up at the sky and thanking the heavans.
"And because of that- well, I thought that maybe we could take our movie buisness to Bollywood India!" Balto finished excitedly.
Jenna's jaw dropped. "Oh Balto...please no more...."
Balto's eyes shone brightly. He knew he could somehow persuade Jenna to come along.
Even though Universal Studios had burned down, the sorrowful look had vanished from his eyes and had been replaced by a cheerful glow.
Jenna noticed that persuasive gleam in Balto's eyes and she finally heaved a sigh.
"Alright Balto. I'll give in ONLY because I love you. Understand?" she said raising her eyebrows. Though Jenna thought that filming movies wasn't the best thing in the world, she still knew that it would all end in an exciting adventure.
"Well than let's hurry to the airport. The plane is leaving in about an hour. C'mon!" Balto yelped.
And with that, the two set off for India.
"Please Balto! No more bagged peanuts!" Jenna groaned watching Balto gobble up a whole bag as only dogs can do.
The two had just boarded the plane and not only were they tired and cramped, but also hungry.
"C'mon Jenna! I mean sure I'm on a diet, but I've only eatan six bags!" Balto retorted.
Jenna just rolled her eyes as if to say, "And because of this feasting frenzy, you going to gain twenty more pounds."
Finally, the plane took off and the two braced themselves for the long trip ahead.
Meanwhile, while Balto was stuffing his face with peanuts, Jenna was thoughtfully gazing out the window. She half expected to see Boris soaring past but unfortunatly, she did not.
The plane ride was frightfully uncomfortable, for the kid sitting behind the dogs kept kicking the back of their seats until Balto turned around and screamed his head off at the kid. But the kid couldn't hear what Balto was saying, for all that came out was, "Whoof whoof! Grrrrr......A-woof!
Luckily for Balto and Jenna, the plane ride ended the next day.
"Ugh, my spine aches as well as the rest of me and I think there is the outline of a shoe printed on my back." Jenna groaned once the flight had ended.
"Aww get over it. My back hurts too but am I complaining?" Balto snapped whirling around to face Jenna, fur bristling.
For the rest of the day the two walked around Bollywood exploring all of the new sights and smells.
Balto suggested to stop at a coffee shop for lunch.
When the two got inside, Jenna 'ordered' two cups of coffee. And by 'ordered' I mean she snuck into the kitchen and stole two fresh cups of coffee.
While Jenna was 'ordering' the cups of coffee, Balto was looking around until he spotted a strange and familiar sight- it was the man in the ski mask!
"Hmmm... so it was true. The man really DID escape the cops!" Balto sneered.
He hopped down from his perch on a red leather booth and trotted up to the man. "Woof." he said looking up at Ski Mask Dude.
The man met his gaze with Balto's. "Hey I've seen you before ya little half-breed."
Balto, infuriated at this comment, snarled and leapt at the man. Ski Mask Dude grabbed a knife from the table and pointed it at Balto like a sword.
Balto skidded to a stop and scrambled in the other direction.
By now the coffee shop was going wild.
"C'mon Jenna! Let's make a break for it while we can!" he sreeched racing past his mate.
"Aw Balto! Can't we just sit back and relax!?" Jenna called, dashing after Balto.
The two kept running until they had ran out of breath.
"Oh Balto! I'm going to be too tired to shoot the movie!" Jenna exclaimed.
"No time for movie talk now Jenna." Balto panted. "We need to catch that man."
A couple of minutes later, Balto and Jenna had reached the police deopartment.
Balto scrambled inside to see a rather large man sitting at a desk and munching on a doughnut.
Balto barked to let the man know that he was here.
The man jumped up and yelled until he realized that it was just a dog.
Balto barked again and raced up to the man. He grabbed the man's sleeve and tugged.
"It almost looks like you want me to follow you." the man said puzzled. "Well okay."
Balto lead the man back to the coffee shop and lead him strait to the ski mask man. Immediatly, the policeman's face turned cross.
"Bucky Joe. You came all the way to India to hide from the cops but now you're under arrest!" the policeman shouted.
"But I-" stammered Ski Mask Dude.
"C'mon. Let's go." the policeman said leading Bucky Joe out of the coffee shop.
Before he left though, he screamed over his shoulder, "I'll get you Balto! And your meddling friend too!" he screamed.
Balto simply looked at Jenna and winked.
A couple days later, the dogs returned to Nome. The movie had been a great success and it would soon be showing in theaters.
"Now wasn't that just fun?" Balto asked Jenna. "I mean we solved a crime AND filmed a movie. We're on a roll if I do say so myself."
Jenna laughed.
"Oh Balto....this time I have to say, I really DO want to go back."
The End!
