Chapter 6: Love May be an Alley

Zuko and Quynan walked side by side together as Zuko showed Quynan around Ba Sing Sei. She grimaced behind Zuko's back. Every time they came near a villager, they either ran or quickly walked away. She really regretted this now. Maybe there wolves were cold blooded murders and couldn't feel anything, but that.

"So, uh, how do you like Ba Sing Sei, Ming?" Zuko asked suddenly. Quynan was taken back by his question. "It's nice, it's good to get out of the war to see this place." she said and looked away. "Again" she thought to herself. "Come on, Ming, I want to show some place." Zuko said and grabbed her hand and he pulled her as they ran down the roads. They stopped and he brought her to the Fountain of Fire. Quynan looked around at the beautiful sight. Zuko began to light some of the candles.

Zuko sat on a bench in front of the fountain. He patted a spot beside him. Quynan grinned and sat beside him. "Isn't it beautiful?" he asked as he looked around. "Yeah, it is." she smiled. Now she was second guessing herself about her questions. "Ming..when I saw you, I thought you were going to be a serious and unemotional wolf." he said slowly and looked at his hands in his lap. "I only thought that because you were in the war and everything." he quickly added before she could proetest. "But, now...whenever I see you..I get this wierd feeling, in the pit of my stomach." he said shyly. Quynan tilted her head at him. "I...I think I like..I mean like, more than like," he whispered. The candle light brighten his ember eyes. "Do you belive in love at first sight?" he asked and looked up at her.

"Yes, I do." she smiled. "I undertsand if you don't want date a wolf like me." he said and looked away putting a hand to his scar. "I don't care about appearences. I care about the wolf inside." she said and placed her hand on his. Zuko looked up, his eyes glowing brightly with affection. He smiled. He turned toward Quynan and leane din close, his muzzle coming toward her's. A shiver ran up her spine. She couldn't help, but smiela nd she leaned toward Zuko. Zuko kissed Quynan. They kissed one more time before Zuko stood. "You ready to go back?" he said and held his hand for her to grab. Quynan smiled and grabbed his hand.

"Do you like the war?" Quynan asked as they were coming upon the palace. Zuko looked down. "I don't know how to feel towards that." he said simply. Quynan didn't press the matter and they walked up the stairs together. Azula looked up from talking to a Dei Li agent. She smiled when she saw them....

Chapter 7: Final Warning

Quynan rolled down the covers. It has been about 3 days since she has been in Ba Sing Sei. Last night, Azula had brought something back to her mind. The Day Of Black Sun was getting close, and now, Apricot, Iroh, Isis and Toph had no more backup from the Earth Kingdom. She was losing hope, everything was closing down on her and the world seemed heavier now.

Zuko opened the door. "Good morning. Sleep well?" he asked with a grin. Quynan swung her legs over and walked toward Zuko. "Come on, Azula wants to talk to you." he said and lead her to the throne room. Azula, Mei and Tai Lei were standing in front of the throne. Quynan swallowed hard, a drop of sweat dripping behind her head. "Ming, Mai and Tai Lei want to talk to you." Azula announced.

The two females walked toward Quynan. "Meets us outside." Mei whispered harshly in Quynan's ear. Quynan grimaced and as they walke dout she looked at Zuko. "I'll be back soon." she said and followed after them and walked out of the palace. A minute later Mai and Tei Li were standing, growling at her. "I challenge you to an Adni Ki!" Mai challenged. Quynan sneered. "I accept your challenge!" Quynan retorted. "If I win, you stay away from Zuko! You win, well I'll you leave you two alone." she dealed. "I agree." Quynan whispered.

Quynan was kneeling, her back toward Mai. Mai was the same. Quynan sighed and turned, letting the Fire Nation towel drop from her shoulders. She got into a fighting postion, Mai did the same. A gong rung out and Mai went into a L stance and shot mulitble fire balls at her. Quynan went into a horse stance and swirled her arms in a circle, breaking the stream away without any effect. She leaped in the air and blew fire down on Mai. Mai did the same block, and as Quynan came down she did a sweep kick and knocked Quynan to ehr back. Mai stood over her, ready to fire. "I wi...." Mai started, but as Quynan spun and fire knocked Mai to her back, skidding to the ground. She growled, but as a fire ball came toward it hit her, to send her back more. Quynan leaped and pinned her down, with ehr foot. "Okay!!" Mai pleaded. Quynan grinned and got off. Mai, without a word left.

Quynan walked up to Zuko and placed her hand on his shoulder. Zuko turned and embraced her. He pecked her with a kiss on her muzzle and smiled, looking into her light ember eyes.......

Chapter 8: The Truth Revealed

Quynan woke the next morning. She felt impowered. Beating Mai yesterday had brought up her hope a little. She heard talking outside her room. Her ears went back and she got dressed and walked out. She walked into the throne room, where a brown and black molted wolf was talking to Azula. Azula began to nod as the wolf spoke.

"I agree, she is not needed here, she needs to be out there." Azula said lowly. The wolf nodded once again and turned around. Quynan blinked when she saw it was Kuzon. "What's going on?" she asked, her tail flicking behind her. Her eyes widend when she remembered that it has been a week since she has gotton here.

"Kuzon, is sending you back to war." Azula announced as Zuko walked in. "What?!" Zuko retorted and ran beside Quynan. "I'm sorry, Zuko, but Ming is needed somewhere else if we are to win this war." Azula growled in her normal voice. Zuko gave a heavy sigh and looked at the ground. "I have the ship waiting, I'll meet you there." he said and walked past Quynan and Zuko. "Please don't leave, Ming." he pleaded. Quynan looked away. She gripped his hands. "I have too, and don't worry....you'll see me again." she promised. Azula, Zuko and Quynan all headed to the coast behind Ba Sing Sei.

"Well guess this is goodbye." Quynan said and nodded to Azula and Zuko. "Stay alive in war so you could see the new Ba Sing Sei!" Azula laughed. Quynan gave a quick grin and looked at Zuko. "Goodbye, Zuko." she said and hugged him quickly. He kissed her cheek. Quynan turned around and followed Kuzon up the ramp. Quynan stopped and threw a note at Zuko's feet. By the time Zuko reached down and opened it, they were long gone.

Chapter 9: Homeward Bound

"You think that was a good idea, of telling Zuko who you were?" Kuzon asked as Quynan walked up, taking off the last bit of her Fire Nation uniform. "It'll be fine." she smiled reasuringlly. She tried to reasure, not only Kuzon, but herself. She just couldn't wait to get home.

They arrived at the cove and docked at the beach. Apricot, Isis, Toph and Iroh were all waiting with smiling faces. The ship's ramp steamed and the ramp came down. As it settle don the soft sand Quynan walked down it, her face dazed, but once she stepped off the ramp she was tackled by Apricot to the sand.

Apricot hugged her tightly. "I've been so worried!!" she cried. Toph had laugh, she ahd heard the loud thump on the sand. Isis fell over laughing when Quynan gasped for air. "Can't...breath...air!!!" she gasped. Apricot grinned and let Quynan up. "Thank you!" she agsped and shook her pelt from the sand.

Kuzon waved goodbye to the group and headed back to Ba Sing Sei.

Quynan yawned and headed to the cave. Apricot began to practive water bending, Toph took Isis to practice his earth bending. "Here, you look like you need some tea." Iroh said handing her a cup as she sat on the couch. Quynan had her elbows on her knees. She sipped some of the tea.

"Something you want to tell me?" Iroh asked as he sat beside Quynan. "Yes, I do." Quynan said to him, her head still down.......

A ship began to sail on the ocean. A brown with fire in his eyes as he stood on the deck, a sneer on his mull. "I'm coming for you, Quynan." Zuko snarled as the ship sailed toward her cove. Azula standing beside him, also with a smirk......
