January 23, 1929, after Dusty's attack from Liuetenant and his 3 thugs, Medic Britoni had asked Kodi to take care for Dusty as she heals, while Medic and his partner, Sarge Petty, try to find anymore evidence on who did attack Dusty. That night Aniu had done something to someone in Nome, and that's what your going to find out now.

Nome, Alaska

2: 33 AM

Chapter 5: The Dreams

Kodi was fast asleep in the living room of the Post Office near the fire place, and was seperated from Dusty who is now recovering from a deadly attack, by Totin (The unknown tan dog) and Kirby. About 3 hours ago, his Grandmother, Aniu sat on the mountain and did something to him. She sent him a dream, a dream to warn him of the visions Aniu had seen.

Kodi was running with his mail team as lead dog on their normal trail to White Mountain, they did their normal routine at White Mountain, then began to run home. On the way home, it was different, their was so many unusuial things. First, as they were running on an edge of a cliff, an Air Corps plane, not the one in Nome in real life, a fighter, the ones that have armed weapons on it, flew right by the team going full speed in the direction of Nome.

About 5 minuets later the same plane, but 7 of them in a V formation flew about 100 feet over their heads.

Ten they were almost at Nome, and the saw the ocean, but this time has a battleship from the U.S Navy out in the water from where it is, in front of Nome.

Then a Bull Moose crossed their path aout 20 feet in front of them, running away from something.

Then began to hear sevral explosions comeing from Nome.

Then finally before the worse of all, the smell of smoke.

Now, for the worst of all, Kodi and his team came out the woods to Nome's sight and stopped short. The sight they saw was so devestating Kodi could feel tears forming in his eyes.

Nome is destroyed, 1/2 was on fire, 1/4 was blown away from explosions, 1/4 still standing. People were screaming, military troops were trying to protect as much as they could, but who was attacking it?

Then saw a U.S Army soldger tring to get away from a dog who was chasing him viloeintly. Then another soldger got useing all of his power to throw off a wolf who was trying to attack his face.

Then about 40 dogs/wolves came out the woods about 100 feet to their side. Then a low, almost evil voice to their side said "Well, Well, Well, if it isn't the Grandson of the Great White Wolf".

Kodi and his team and musher turned to see who it was. There stood on a ledge that was over looking the dog sled team, 6 dogs and 1 wolf. The wolf was solid black with blood red eyes, the very same wolf Aniu saw back in part 1. the 6 dogs had rifles on their backs.

The black wolf turned to a pit bull/boxer mix and said "Carlos, you may fire when ready" he said then turned around and walked away. As soon as the black wolf said that, 5 out of 6 of the dogs ,at the same time, stood up to have their fore-arms free and turned the rifles around and aimed at the team.

The pit bull mix made a single whistle to a group of 7 dogs on the other side of the team in the woods. The 7 dogs then came out of the wood and stood up to point their rifles and the team.

Then Mr. Simpson tried to reach his gun on the sled which he has just in case of wolf or moose attack. As he did, one of the dogs in woods shot him knowing he was reaching for a weapon.

This was a planned ambush, but why? Now Kodi and his team try to unhitch themselves so they can at least try to dodge their bullets that was about to be fired. 

"Father Deathlock, on your command!!!" yelled on one dogs on the ledge aiming his rifle right at Kodi's head.

The pit bull mix also stood up and tuned his rifle and aimed at Ralph. "FIRE!!!" he yelled and Kodi heard an explosion from the guns and in a split-second saw a white flash.

Kodi spraing up, painting, and heart beating hard. Then immediatly looked to see if his team are still alive, he looked twice at Dusty who was stil knocked out, and sleeping soundly in a basket, then looked outside to see if Nome is still destroyed, it wasn't.

He took a deep breath of relief "That was a weird dream, who would want to destroy Nome, theirs nothing here to claim, besides territory" he said to himself trying to calm himself down, then heard Kirby mumble on the other side of Totin. and Kodi rolled his eyes and looked at Dusty on the other side Kirby.

His cramp feeling came back, he then began to look at Dusty lovingly.

Kodi shook his head "What am I doing" he told himself. Kodi then remember Medic saying to take care of her, so Kodi deceided to go over to her.

He sneaked around Totin, and then Kirby until he finally reached Dusty. But Kodi, before he lied down to go back sleep, he lost control of his actions again and licked her cheek, his feeling in his stomach increased 110%, but he didn't blush, it felt so right to him, in fact it felt good.

Just then, just before Kodi lied down, Dusty was awaken, and was happy that Kodi was with her,

"K-Kodi? I didn't expect you here" she said suprised "I- I just came to see how the Doc did... it looks good... I'll let you sleep" Kodi said as he walking away to where he was before.

"No, Kodi, I would really like the company" she said as she bagan to fall back to sleep, just like the Doc said she would if she wakes up.

"As you wish, Dusty" he said as he turned around and lied down next to Dusty's basket on the floor.

"Dusty... How did you...." Kodi asked but Dusty was all ready fast asleep. "Ah, I'll ask her tomorrow" he said and he himself began to fall back to sleep.

5 hours ago...

Mr. Simpson had just returned from the Police Station with Dusty and Kodi, and Simpson had pulled a basket and pillow for Dusty out of the closet and put Dusty in the basket.

He then went to the couch to listen to the radio, he had 2 stations, 1 for United States news in english, and the other for Soviet Union (present day Russia) news in russian, Simpson can speak both languages.

As the teams owner was turning back and forth to American and Soviet news, Kodi and his team one at a time fell asleep near the fire place.

Dusty was still knocked out, but had a dream that just change her life...

New York City, New York, United States

Dusty is in a town that she never thought she would be in, New York City. Thanks to the tales Medic had told about this city, she knew what a average street would look like...

She is watching New York Harbor, seeing some large boats that Medic said hold a couple hundred immegrents form all over Europe, anchoring at an island she had seen a few pictures of, Ellis Island. Then saw America's most famous symbol of Freedom and Librity, The Statue of Librity.

The sun was setting, and Dusty decided to turn back to Midtown. She was 1/2 way home when the sky went dark, she was walking on a busy street, people on the paved sidewalks and the bells of the trollies, and horns from the old 1920s cars driving back and forth, and a few horse carrigaes to.  Dusty decided to take a shortcut.

She went to an ally, but was followed by some digusting criminals, about 3 to be exact.

The ally turned to a dead end and she turned around and saw the thugs right behind her.

"Ello' Beautiful, whats a girl like you do' in a hood like this" one of the three said.

"Please... I just want to get home, I don't have any money if that's what your after" she said hoping she wasn't being mugged.

"No... what you don't trust us... were just harmless Deathlocks" said dog #2.

Dusty remembered Medic saying about a civil war between 2 major New York gangs, the Deathlocks and the Enforcers. But Medic didn't say which was the good guys, or if any were, so she she didn't trust these dogs.

"No... I'm sorry I don't... I'm new here and my friend told me not to trust anyone at night" "Hold up, girl... who's your friend... an Enforcer" "I don't know, his name is Medic... he's an expert on this town".

"Medic... Medic Britoni?!" one of the dogs yelled

"Y- yeah... you know e'm" she asked.

"Ice the Girl!!!" said the 1st dog he was ready to attack.

"Back away from the girl....... Deathlocks!!!" yelled a famililar voice.

Dusty and the thugs looked back to see who it was, but he was in the shadows.

"Britoni?!.... Show your self, Britoni!!!" yelled another dog.

"Who ever said I'm Medic... I'm new in this town to" the shadowey figure said behind the light from a window to the figure's right.

"Ice him Tommy" said the 1st dog again and the biggest of the 3 thugs charged at the figure.

The figure stood there until the attacker was in his face, then dodged his attack and threw him against the wall of the building next to him. The dog ran away back to New York street and yelled "You crazy, man, you crazy!!!" he yelled and ran away.

"Next" said the fimilair voice said calmly. "If your not Britoni... then who are you, SHOW YOURSELF!!!" yelled the leader.

The figure stepped out of the shadows and into the light of the window, the canine that was probally
