A skinny black, teen she-wolf was thrown roughly into a gave in a lab. Her dark blue eyes sparked in indignation. “Stupid humans!” she growled. “I’ll get out of this pathetic cage!”

A female Rottweiler snapped at the she-wolf. “Shut up! You should be honored to have been taken for testing!”

“Honor my ass!” the she-wolf snarled.

A muscular female German Shepherd growled in warning at the she-wolf. “Don’t bother talking to it, Lucy,” the dog said.

The she-wolf growled. “I am not an it!”

The Rottweiler called Lucy ignored her and replied, “You’re right, Mercedez, “ then she turned away from the rows and stacks of cages, one of which held the black she-wolf. Mercedez did the same as a handsome, muscular teen German Shepherd padded in. Like the other two, he was a guard dog for the lab.

“Where’ve you been, Gunner?” Mercedez asked.

The male, Gunner, shrugged. “Out” was all he said. Lucy and Mercedez rolled their eyes. Gunner looked around and noticed the bristling black she-wolf glaring at them. “New test subjects?” he asked. Lucy nodded. Gunner narrowed his brown eyes slightly and the she-wolf thought she saw something flash in them.

Gunner padded up to the she-wolf’s cage. “So what’s your name?” he asked politely.

The she-wolf curled her lip but replied anyway. “Its Kikyo.” Gunner nodded and turned away.

The humans walked out and then Kikyo didn’t quite know what happened next. Gunner lunged and hit something, then the cage doors suddenly opened.

“Run!” he yelled at Kikyo. She leaped out of her cage- some of the other test animals following her lead. She streaked out of the room thinking,  Did that mutt really just free me? Alarm bells sounded; the humans would soon catch her if she didn’t get out fast.

A brown and black blur crashed into her. Mercedez! Kikyo snarled and bit the dogs leg. Mercedez went for Kikyo’s throat, but Kikyo kicked her off and raced away. Kikyo knew she wasn’t the best fighter and she wasn’t stupid enough to get in a serious fight with a dog who had been trained to fight. Humans tried stopping her- along with trying to stop the other escaped animals that had the guts to run.

Kikyo raced out the doors and skidded to a halt by the edge of the nearby forest. What about Gunner? she thought. He did get me out of that place… Kikyo saw Gunner race around the corner towards the exit, just as a human tried to shoot him. Mercedez lunged unexpectedly at the human, digging her fangs into its throat. So she’s not letting the humans hurt her friend. Hmpth. Kikyo turned and took off into the forest she called home.

Once she was safely away from the lab, she halted as she heard paw steps behind her. She turned around just as two familiar German Shepherds crashed through the underbrush, panting heavily.

“You left the humans, I see.” Kikyo said cooly.

Mercedez merely glared- Kikyo returning it with a sneer- while Gunner replied, “Heh, yeah.”

“Well, anyway, thanks for saving me,” Kikyo nodded curtly to Gunner and he shrugged. Kikyo pricked her ears and cocked an ear back as a black she-wolf with ice-blue eyes and a red she-wolf with amber eyes padded in.

“There you are Kikyo,” the first said,

“Hey Blue, Shiro,” Kikyo nodded to each of them in turn.

“Who are the dogs?” Shiro narrowed her eyes.

“Just some guard dogs who recently left their lab.” Kikyo noticed that Shiro tensed at the mention of the lab. She never did like them.

Blue also noticed the red she-wolf’s reaction. “Let’s get out of here.” She turned, tail flicking and padded off, Kikyo and Shiro following.

Kikyo glanced back. “And who said you could come?” she asked the two dogs that had started off after them.

Gunner blinked. “Its not like we have any other place to go.”

“Whatever.” Kikyo rolled her eyes and padded on; Gunner and Mercedez continued to follow.

Blue came to a halt at a sparkling river lined with boulders and stepping stones across it. Kikyo leaped up on one of the larger boulders and sat down as she groomed her fur until it was sleep, silky, and shiny.

She felt a push behind her, causing her to fall into the calm river. Kikyo came up sputtering. Blue, Shiro, and Mercedez were hardly containing their amusement.  Kikyo’s fuming gaze fell upon a familiar someone with a triumphant smirk, standing on the boulder she had been pushed off of. “Gunner!” she snarled and pulled herself out of the water. She decided to just ignore him.

Not long later, she learned ignoring him wouldn’t go any good. Every time she got out and dried herself he would just push her back in. So Kikyo did the thing any self-respecting she-wolf would do when being harassed by a dog. She put him in a headlock and pounded him hard on the head furiously, over and over again with her paw.

Gunner yelped, “What the fuck, woman!!” and raced away when Kikyo released him and he hid behind a boulder, clutching his now very sore head.

Kikyo glared at him through narrowed eyes then lunged back up on a boulder with a scowl. Gunner apparently didn’t learn his lesson as he pushed her in AGAIN but this time Kikyo dragged him in with her. It didn’t take long for a water fight between the two teens to break out with dunking, splashing, tail-pulling and of course, Kikyo trying to drown Gunner.

A soaked, snarling Kikyo pulled herself out yet again a while later. Just as she got dry again, a cocky dog got out of the river and shook his pelt, soaking her all over again. After pounding Gunner again, Kikyo stalked back home in a very bad mood.

Stupid mutt, Kikyo thought darkly. The cocky bastard. He thinks he’s so cool and funny. Pugh, I’m glad to finally be away from him. With those thoughts in mind, she entered her camp and found a place to curl up and get some much wanted sleep.

La Push, baby
LOL! I love Gunner's lines, Viper. You've gotta write more, I enjoyed
that. And you remember everything that happened in the rp better than
I do
