Jenna was running in town as quickly as her little puppy legs can. She gracefully pounced around in the mushy snow and rolled all in it. "This is fun" she said with a little chuckle. Jenna's father, Night, watched her roll in the snow and said to her " You love the snow, dont you." he said laughing. Jenna got to her feet and jumped on her father's back and she shouted "MUSH". Jenna's father went charging off with Jenna hanging from his back. "Wow" Jenna shouted "This is faster then last time" she said with her fur blowing back harder. Her father came to a sudden stop which flung Jenna off into the snow.

     "Oooowwwccchhh" she shouted shaking off the snow. Jenna's father said to Jenna "stay here i need to do somthing rely quick" "What" Jenna replied "Its your mom" her father said after her. "Mom" Jenna whispered as her father charged past her.

     Jenna ran and fallowed her father but all he did was push her back and this time she quit running and just hoped everything was ok.

     "Sarah" Night slowly said

     "Night..." Sarah Jenna's mom slowly said in replie.

     "I dont think i can make it..." Sarah slowly said and passed away. Night started crying and wrapped his paws on the dead body. Jenna slowly walked in the ally her parents were in and she had tears in her eyes alredy. "Jenna..." Night slowly said sniffleing. "Papa....is she..dead" Jenna said crying "Yes...yes she is" her father said in slow words.

     A few weeks after her mother's death Jenna's father has been acting sickly and sooned died, now Jenna had no one to take care of her. That was until today, a little girl named Rosie brought her home and named her Jenna. "Oh Jenna your so cute" The little girl said putting a orange banndana around her neck. Jenna licked the girl's face and pranced around happily.

     The next day Jenna walked in the middle of town alone and thats when she spotted a trio of huskies, two looked like mixes. jenna walked up to them thinking they would play with her and thats when the black one jumped infront of her. Jenna gasped and gulped. "Hi, my name is Steele" The black husky said in a happy tone. "Mines Jenna" Jenna replied in a happy tone too.

     Jenna and Steele were best friends until Jenna came across Steele picking on a little wolfdog. Jenna marched between Steele and the wolfdog and shouted "Leave him alone". Steele growled and the wolfdog put his ears back in a fearful way. Jenna walked away with the wolfdog and asked its name. "Balto" he said "Mines Jenna" Jenna said. Balto had a wide grin and asked her "Want to see the boat that i live on" "Um.. sure" Jenna said with a smile, then Balto lead her.

     Borris was mopping the deck and asked Balto "Who is she" "oh its Jenna, she saved me from that nasty Steele" Borris chuckled and continued to sweep. Balto licked her head and she looked at Balto with wide eyes and he stopped "What" he asked. Jenna replied "Nothing" and he continued to lick Jenna's little head and that is when Jenna remembered Rosie. "um... sorry but i got to go back home" Balto sighed and said "OK" and Jenna was off.

     Jenna walked to the boat again in the morning and this time Borris set out a little meal for both of them. Jenna was pleased and began to eat. "Mmmmm, this is good pasta" Jenna said with sauce all over her face. Balto and Borris laughted and Balto and Jenna continued to eat and that is when Steele jumped in. "Steele" Balto shouted at the evil huskey.

     "Im sorry, did i mess up your date, mutt" Steele laughed. Jenna growled and attacked Steele. Steele bit her hardly and attacked Balto. Balto bit Steele back and flung him to the ground. Steele got up and attacked Jenna again but Balto protected her and flung Steele again. Borris shouted and broke up the fight "You go home you mange filled mutt, Steele" Borris had and very angry look which made Steele run. "Wow" Balto said but then fixed his eyes on Jenna which was on the floor not moving.

     Balto ran to her and started to lick her and put his head to her chest to check for her heart beat. Jenna was alive but knocked out. "Jenna..." Balto said slowly Jenna slowly turned over and said "Balto..." and fell asleep.

     The next day was brighter then the day before. Balto woke up ontop of Jenna and then Jenna woke up under Balto. "Balto?" she questioned "Jenna you were knocked out because of Steele, remember?" Jenna remembered and got up. "I loved the food but not Steele" Jenna said looking at the mess on the floor "Yeah" Balto said after her. Jenna looked at Balto and said " That food, and you are my best treat, a good treat" Balto blushed and smiled and he licked her. Jenna licked him back and Borris smiled. Jenna and Balto ate the scraps of food on the floor and had a good laugh.
