"Hello, I am Aniu daughter of Snow, my mother and Solar, my father and this is my past".

(flash back start)

I was playing with my sibling Nava he was younger than me and more adventureus than me so I watched him as he climed on top of our packs home ,and we out of all our siblings stuck together we vowed to never argue and that vow stayed. I was happy in Freshfall pack but I always felt someone was out to get us. 

"Aniu come on up it's fun you can see all the way to Nome" Nava looked and watched as I scrambled up to join him.

"Wow look dad" I whispered. We both waited for him to come further out then...."Yahoo"we screamed we may be the oldest but we were kinda immature, and unlike the others we hung out and told each other our secrets. 

"Ahhhh Snow help I'm under attack"Our father laughed" come on you two play is over".  "Huh papa what do you mean?"Nava clambered off his back.  "Well it's time you learned about the pack starting with hunting" He sighed "Look we have too do this your not pups no-more it's time you learned" Solar started to walk off"Come on".

Me and Nava stared at each other and shrugged.'I wish I knew what he ment 'I wished, little did I know how dangerous a wolf pack was, I still felt like we were in danger.

After we came back we told others what happened to some of our large pack.  "I'm afraid to say but another pack was in the hunting grounds and their was a fight they"My dad sighed" They...had trained thier pups to fight and...some pups died on both sides mainly our pups" Solar turned and our beta's brought forward 8 broken and bleeding puppies, same age as me and Nava,I scanned those pups and saw my brothers and sisters, Luna, Avery, Cleo Bilonidas, and four other pups. 

"I am sorry for your losses but life goes on" he walked outside at the edge he sat and a mournful howl escaped his mouth.

Soon my mother followed so Nava and I went after her.My mom's howl was soft and high and mingled, I stopped and heard a deep howl it was Nava, his voice mixed with our parents, I started howling and listened only to mine It was high and almost silvery it entwined with my family's. I was aware of other howls, and thought 'There could never be a better send off'. 

6 months later

"So what should we do today?"I asked Nava, it was 6 months ago my younger siblings got killed. 

"I don't know" He sighed "Maybe we should just watch the clouds?". 

"Okay I guess" I replied shrugging. I flopped on the grass and watched the clouds it was boring but we were doing something at last. 

"Hey whats that?"I felt Nava pokeing me. 

"What" I replied getting to my paws. It was a strange sight a sled went by with one dog on top of a moving one, obviosly the dogs got lost and that dog was trying to save the other dog. "Come on"I cried running down. 

"Im getting dad" Nava galloped back.

"Hey who are you?"I asked when I reached the dog. 

"Im.. I am B..Bla..Blane"He choked "are you going to eat me?".

"What?! No"I was shocked, wolves dont eat dogs" No Where are headed?". 

"To the nearest wolf pack"Blane shivered"To join and test my skill I am part wolf you see".

"Yeah Well you should speak to my dad. He's alpha"I smiled.  "What about me being alpha?"a voice said, I whipped round and saw papa. 

"Pa, Blane here wants to join our pack and he's part wolf and I'm sure he'll do the tests"I said to him. 

"Well do ya wanna join Blane?"Pa repeated.  "Yes alpha"Blane bowed"My mom was half wolf sir". "Hmm we shall see"he turned and stalked off. 

"Come on Blane" I turned and padded next to Nava "Hey Nava what's wrong?".  "Well I don't like him"he sighed. 

"Why?I mean he seems nice"I asked him. 

"Yes but he's part dog and I think there is more to what he says"he replied and ran to join dad. From this day forward we grew apart we still talked and had fun but something was different.

(1 year later)

Me and Nava were digging up holes for food. "Hey what you doing?"a voice asked, we looked up and saw Blane. 

"Uh burying food what does it look like?"Said Nava cheekily. 

"Sorry umm Aniu can I talk to you?"Blane questioned.  "Uh sure I guess"I walked off with him. 

"Uhh um are you gonna be alpha?"he asked. 

"Well yes I am the oldest so yeah" I told him. 

"Well would you like to umm be..be my..err m..mate?"He stuttered. 

"Er yeah" I smiled and went to help Nava.

"So what did he want?"Nava demanded. 

"Nothing Nava you should stop trying to know everything about me"I yelled at him and ran off. From that day we grew more and more apart.

(next day)

"Hey um dad,when will I be alpha?"I asked.  

"Well how is tomorrow for you?"he replied,he and mum were getting old now.  "Err ok"I said excitedly. When I got out side I hollered"YES", I was so happy.

(the fight)

 

"Please everyone I am getting old and Snow is also, so my eldest Aniu shall fight me for the place of alpha" Papa sighed. I was horrified but that turned to realization I have to I thought.

"Are you ready?"I asked.

"Yes" Solar replied. I attacked his leg the blood leaked out while dad whined in pain. He lunged for my muzzle, I doged and jumped on his back showing that I won.

Mum was pleased that she and dad could relax now. "Hun stop by our den later" She said.

(later)

"Well darling its time to chose a mate" Dad smiled "and we think we've found the perfect one". 

"I have chosen one already"I said. 

"Who were you thinking?We thought Blane was a perfect one..."Mum trailed off. 

"Oh my gosh thats who asked me!!"I was shocked but pleased.

Blane walked in"You did great"he licked my cheek.

"Thanks" I gushed and nuzzled him.

(2 months later)

I curled round Blane, my mate, my soul. "Goodnight hun and pups"He said before falling asleep.I couldn't wait in a week my pups would be born! "Goodnight Blane"I curled round Blane and fell asleep.

(1 week later)

"owwwww owwww uh uh uh" I panted in pain. 2 pups were lying next to me. We had named them Kalegha and Balto. A small bundle of skin. I bit through the skin and licked it off.I licked the rough fur and smiled "Caria". 

"Why Caria?"Blane asked. "I like it silly"I replied and licked his cheek.He smiled and licked mine.

( 7 months later)

 That night i had no idea what happened I felt no warm body next to me. Blane was gone outside gunshots were heard. I scrambled up and took the pups,I ran out back down the stairs and hid the girls in an ice-cave and my son on a boat. I went back and Blane was on a lead. 

"So Nava was right your a killer of my pack, a sled dog and a liar"I yelled at him.

"Look Aniu hun I didnt have a choice"He said. But a female husky came up to us.

"Hiya baby whats going on?" She asked Blane, nuzzling him. 

"Cassey, meet Aniu.You know the wolf I told you about?"He snickered, licking her cheek.  "Oh yes your fake mate" she turned to me" you do know he lied to you? He wanted to kill you".

Then the hunters turned and walked back, whistling to the dogs. I walked back to my pups, but they were all gone. I howled hoping they would hear me. But a wolf ran up to me.

"Hey you havent got a pack huh?"he guessed. I shook my head. "Then come with me you would suit my alpha perfectly"he said running I followed him.

Soon we came to his cave, I told the Alpha everything and he said I was his mate now. I didn't want a new mate. I pleaded with him but nothing changed. After a while I did grow to love him. I forgot all about my children till I found Blane in a meadow while hunting. He was dieing.

He asked me for help so I said I would and put him out of is misery. I died of pain for my cubs a few weeks later.

(Flashback end)

 

"I don't need to search now for my children. They are with mates and children of their own. My youngest is watching of them, by my side. We will watch over her siblings till she must go back".
