Luminate Part 3 (A Failed Revenge)

Two year’s after she was run out of town and bitten by the snake she was ready. She was ready to take her revenge but for a year she had struggled with a snake bit she found that some herbs would keep the poison from killing her. The problem was the herbs only keep the poison down for a day so she had to use the herbs every day but that wouldn’t stop her. She wanted to kill all the dogs in Nome. For this to happen she would have to form her own wolf pack and a big one too.

The pack would be made of wolves kick out of other packs and loners and wondering wolves. Luminate know this would take some time but she know there a lot of wolves wondering the area. Luminate searched for hours until she came across ten wolves sitting in a circle talking. She walks up and interrupted their circle and told them of their plan. They all agree and she now had the first members of her pack together and would use them to gather more.

The next day she sent them out to search for more wolves. Then by midday they had brought in seven more wolves for Luminates pack. Then Luminate began to grow fond of one of the wolves. His name was Carlo brother of Rono one of the first members of the pack. Then later that night she learned from Rono that Carlo like her.

Luminate know that Carlo would want pups but she couldn’t have them now. She ended up telling Carlo that she liked him and told him they couldn’t have pups yet. They nuzzled and became mate but didn’t have pups. Then the next day brought 30 more wolves into her pack. Then in Nome no one was ready for what would happen next.

That day a scout from Balto’s guard which was a defense force that was for the defense of Nome. The force was only used when local wolf pack threaten to attack Nome. The scout ran strait into Nome and right to Balto the news he brought was not good. He said there was an army massing outside White Mt. The scout had been watching the massing army for two days.

They were even more shocked when they were told who was leading it. Balto heard the name he gasped in shock hen couldn’t believe it was his daughter. He tried to think why she would build an army to attack Nome then he thought back. He remember that Luminate got tease and run out of town by the other dogs. He now she was coming to kill them all no matter what it took.

Balto know he had o get his defense force together but he remember he sent a large number of his force to White Mt. He had to get them out of there before they got kill by his daughter and her army. So he sent a messenger to call them back to Nome. Meanwhile Luminate was still building her army and after two days she was ready. She had 3000 wolves at her command finally she gave the order to head to Nome.

The march to Nome would take Luminate three days and Balto know this through his scouts. Balto now had three days to gather his army but the large part was still two days away. Also the troops he did have were either outside Nome or through out Nome but in a day he got them together. The large part of his force was still a day away but right now he had to make a battle plan. He couldn’t d this with the troops he had so he sent out messengers to his allied wolf packs.

He sent messengers to the Shino clan, Anto clan, and the Jovy clan, which was the second largest next to Luminate. Then with in the next few hours the messengers returned. First came the messenger from the Anto clan the Anto clan sent 550 troops to help. Then came the messenger from the Shino clan and they had sent 670 troops to help. The one thing Balto had his mind on was how many troops the Jovy clan would send.

Balto was hoping that they would send the most troops sense they were the second biggest clan. Finally the messenger came and Balto got his wish the Jovy clan had sent 600 troops to help. Balto now had 1725 dogs and wolves at his command and now he could make a battle plan. He planned to block both the east and south roads into the town. Then the rest of his force would take up positions inside Nome.

Then Balto had a stroke of luck his other part of his defense force arrives and it was 900 strong. Now Balto had 2625 troops at his command and now he had a chance to win the battle. Within the hour Luminate’s army arrived and they had gather more troops. Around 700 germen dogs from the German settlement of Vanceburg as her backup force. She didn’t attack that day she would wait until tomorrow to attack because she didn’t want to fight in the dark.

That night Luminate surrounded the town of Nome Balto now he either have to win or they would all be killed. Later the next day Luminate attacked she order her troops to take the town by 6:00p.m. Fighting was fierce but Balto’s troops held and by noon Balto had lost 367 troops wounded or died. While Luminate last 409 troops killed or wounded by 3:00p.m more then 356 wolves were lost in Luminates army. Then in Balto’s force he had lost only 200 do to his men’s positions in the town.

An hour later Luminate army gained a foothold in the town but Balto order an attack to retake it. During the attack 1220 more of Luminates troops were killed. While Balto’s well dug in troops only lost 290 troops then night fell and Luminate order her army back for the night. Then later that night Luminate went to take her herbs. Then when she got to were she put them they were gone.

She began to feel the affect of the poison she went to the medic and asked him. He told her he had used them to help other wounded she wanted to kill him but she couldn’t. Later the next day she was getting worse she thought with out their commander her army would be hopeless. She also thought she was out number so she gave the order to surrender.  Her army march toward Nome with white flags the Germans were among them they were met by Balto’s troopers.

That day they built a holding camp area and put the able in and took the wounded for treatment. Among the surrendering was Carlo carrying Luminate he passed her to two medic and they took her away. Over 1715 wolves were either in the holding area or at the ad station. Balto’s 1768 troops had there hands full taking care of the wounded. While Carlo was in the camp Luminate was in surgery having the poison taking care of.

Then an hour later Luminate was dragged into the camp she was dazed but ok. Carlo ran up to her and they nuzzled then Balto walked in with two guards and then he asked why. Luminate just said Revenge.
