Cassy and SunDance had traveled for a few days now still heading straight for the pack. Cassy finally regained all her strength from her last encounter with a wolf, and so they made great timing. The weather began to change into fall, the perfect time of year, and it becam cooler than the summer had been making it an easier journey for them both.

  "SunDance" Cassy called as she looked around the forest as the autmn leaves fell. "Comon SunDance this isn't funny, where are you?" Cassy slowly turned her back to look behind

 "Boo" SunDance said jumping from behind the trees, Cassy was so suprised she fell back screaming, SunDance could only laugh.

 "SunDance" Cassy protested

  "I'm sorry" He laughed "I just couldn't help it, you should have seen your face" He smiled again as Cassy stood to her feet.

  "O really" She said stainding in front of him

 "Yea" He grinned playfully

 "Well,maybe it was funny" Cassy said getting so close that SunDance felt her breath on his neck and began backing up. "But this is going to be hilarious" She said as she grinned slyly and quickly pushed him in the stream.

  SunDance went falling off the edge of the small bank and head first into the stream. Cassy was now laughing hard.

  "I'm sorry I just couldn't help it" She grinned

  SunDance smiled and jumped quickly out of the water, pushing Cassy in with him. The two dogs played in the water happily, as SunDance jumped and hit his paws with the water to splash Cassy, but all of a sudden, SunDance became serious.

 "What is it" Cassy asked, her happy smile fading seriously

 "Did you hear that?" He asked quickly taking a sniff of the air

 "Hear whar?" Cassy asked, though SunDance had taught her all he knew, his senses were still much keener than hers.

 "I think we should keep going" SunDance said trying to get out of the water as quietly as possible.

 Without a question Cassy followed him. They walked quietly on, SunDance stopped every few moments, listening intently. For a little while everything seemed ok, but as SunDance turned his back, there was a rush of light brown fur, and SunDance was on the ground before he relized what had happened. There was a loud growl of attack and the other wolfves paws were close to his neck, but just as hope seemed lost, SunDance smiled.

 "Storm?" SunDance asked

 "SunDance?" The wolf looked him in the eyes un-beliveingly, then he backed away.

 "Comon now you couldn't forget your older brother now could you" SunDance laughed

 " It is you" Storm smiled at last, as he rushed to SunDance, pushing him on the ground again, all in play. Cassy wathced from a little ways off, as the two brothers reunited and jumped on eachother happily. They looked almost exactly alike, with light brown fur, that could turn dark, but SunDance had white paws and chest, with eyes that were of mixed blue, while Storm, had green eyes, and no white, only a few mixed places of fur.

 "We thought we had lost you" Storm said honestly

 "Well for awhile there, I thought I was gone too" SunDance began his story " I needed sometime, after..."  SunDance sudenly becam speechless

 " I know" Storm smiled  "But hey your back, now all you've got to worry about is catching up" He laughed

 "Yea well sounds great, but theres one other thing" SunDance said smiling at Cassy, but Storm still hadnt seen her.

 " I met someone" SunDance blurted out

 "Really, thats great" Storm jumped up happily "Is she with you?"

  "Yes" SunDance said turning so Cassy could come from the shadows. "Storm, I'd like you to meet Cassy, Cassy this is my younger brother, Storm" SunDance smiled as Cassy walked quietly to his side.

  Storm looked suprised for a moment, and he said nothing, he looked at SunDance and then finally he smiled.

 "So this is the girl who finally stole my brothers heart" He smiled " It's an honor" Storm smiled with a bow

 "O stop" SunDance hit his brother gently

 Cassy laughed. " Well, it's nice to meet you too, I've heard a lot about you"

  "O really" Storm said wonderingly

  "Only good things" Cassy said quickly

  "Really, coming from my big brother, no I dont belive it" He smiled, SunDance just sorta laughed. Then a howl was heard from deep within the forest, at first Cassy was unsure as to what the howl meant, but SunDance re-assured it was a friendly call, so she eased.

  " It's getting dark, we should go ahead and leave, the packs already started back, you might want to get a drink before we leave, it is a little ways" Storm said to Cassy

  "Alright" Cassy said with a quick look at SunDance who motioned for her to go ahead, when she was out of hearing range, Storm became serious.

  "Whats on your mind" SunDance asked

  "SunDace" Storm hesitated

  "No, Storm, say what you have to say, dont play around with me, be honest for once" SunDance said

  "SunDance, your my brother, and I'm happy for you, really I'am, but shes not our kind" Storm said in a deep voice

  "What do you mean are kind, just because shes not blood thirsty, because she is capable of love" SunDance was about to go on but was stopped

  "Because shes not a wolf!" Storm yelled "SunDance, you of all wolfves know the rules"

   "Yea your right, I know them all to well, rules that force us to stay away, that make us turn our noses in the air and act like we are better than everyone else, rules that make us prey on the weak, rules that are supossed to be meant for our safety, but put all those around us in danger, yea your right I know all the rules, that sorry wolf I'm forced to call my father made sure I knew them all to well, every chance he got he pushed them at me" SunDance growled

  "SunDance, you know he never meant anyhing by it, he just wanted you to understand,"

   "O yea," SunDance said in a low voice "Well tell that to Angel" Storm and SunDance stood in a silent stare, SunDance, eyes blazing with fury and Storm, with a sudden rush of remeberance. 

  " I'm ready" Cassy said coming up to SunDance, but imeadately she knew something was wrong.

  "This way" Storm said walking off, Cassy and SunDacne followed closely behind.

  "What is it?" Cassy whispered

  "Hm" SunDance said awking from the trnace he was in

  "Whats wrong?" She repeated

   "Wrong, nothing, nothings wrong" SunDance said quickly, but Cassy only gave him a distrustful look "Really" He smiled so, that Cassy gave in.

   They walked on the rest of the way in silence, and after quite a few miles, the sounds of wolfves near by could be heard. Cassy smelled a thousand unfamiliar airs and so she stepped closer to SunDance.

  "Let me go first, we werent expecting company" Storm said giving SunDance a look that said actually listen this time.

 Storm walked off, and now Cassy was a little nervous. "Dont be afraid it will be ok" Cassy smiled at his words and now she felt confident.

   After a few moments, Storm came back and motioned for them to follow, so quietly Cassy walked with SunDance and followed Storm. They walked out from the shelter of the forest to a large open space, only it was occupied by a lot of wolfves. Gasps were heard as the etered th circle, and faint whispers were coming from all around. Soon the were at the head of the area, when Storm left them to join, a wolf and two pups on the sidelines, then out from the den, stepped a tall brown wolf and a small light brown/gray wolf.

    Cassy looked on curiosly, not knowing what was going to happen, but she said nothing. She watched the two wolfves, SunDance looked like the small one, and she even smiled when she saw him, but the large one, just stood in silence.

  "SunDance" The small wolf smiled, coming to him with a nuzzle.

  "Mom" SunDance said

  "We thought you were dead" She said

  "Well I'm right here he smiled" As his mother backed away to get a good look at him.

   "Son" The large wolf finally spoke

  "Father" SunDance said bluntly, the large wolf had a tear on his eye, but SunDance ignored him.

  "I have someone I'd like you all to meet" SunDance spoke up  "This is Cassy" He said allowing her to step forward. Up until this point Cassy had gone unrecognized, but now, all eyes fell on her and she immedately felt the tension. SunDance must have felt it too for he took a stand close to her side.

     A growl escaped The alpha. "SunDance come with me" The wolf walked back into the cave both Cassy and him began to follow "Leave her" the wolf snapped. SunDance turned to face Cassy and asked her to stay there, then he motioned for Storm to watch Cassy closely.

  He follwed the Alpha and his mom into the cave.

  "What is this, do you hate me so much that you would break all we have built" The wolf demanded

   "All we have built!" SunDance screamed "What have you built, a pack of hatred, thats all you own"

   "What would you know
