Kolton was walking throught town when a friend of his ran up to him."Kolton man,great news!"he yelled."What?"he asked him"Were gunna be in a race!"he yelled.kolton looked at him funny."Dude,Bolt,Weve been in hundreds of races."kolton sighed."No no Not like this one!"Bolt yelled."What do ya mean?"Kolton asked."I don't know what It's called but it's new,and theres only 5 sleds."Bolt yelled."Thats Great!"Kolton yelled,then he paused."Hmm it sounds like a big race.....How did we get in?"he asked.Bolt looked at him happly"Thats the best part,It's not about speed it's about agilaty."he smiled."Lets go tell-"kolton started but was stopped.

A mosty grey female dog walked in front of them with a concerned look on her face."Lilly,whats up?"Kolton asked."Uhmm Kolton has bolt told you about the race yet?"she asked."Uh yaeh what about it?"he asked."Well A differnt team cheated there way in too."she sighed."Oh no,who's team?"He asked.Lilly just stood there looking down and wispered something that know one could hear."Who's team?"he asked again."Brett."she said sadly.

"Oh no not him,He cheats his way to anything he wants even if it cost suffering to his own team but mainly ours."Kolton sighed.Bolt stepped in."Well he ain't gonna mess this up."bolt growled."Oh am I that much of a jerk?"A low voise growled.The three dogs turned around to a bulky black and silver husky with a wide grin."I think of myself as a funny lovable guy."he smiled."Yeah,you ain't gunna be so funny and lovable when I get done with ya!"Bolt yelled and tryed to lung at him but Kolton and lilly held him back."Temper Temper you'll never get any where like that rocky."Brett growled."I tempted go let go of his color."Kolton growled."Then I best be own my way."brett scoft and left.

 "Man why didd'nt you let me go?"Bolt yelled."Because if you killed him...THE FREAK'N VET WILL PUT US DOWN!"Lilly yelled."C'mon guys Dinner!"there owner yelled.Lilly ran into the house.Bolt walked along with Kolton."Shesh shes the one with the temper."bolt joked"I heard that!"lilly yelled and they all walked in.

After dinner,The dogs owner made them go to bed in there dog houses."Alright guys because of the race tomarrow,you have to get your sleep so I have to chain you to your dog houses  so you can't sneek off tonight."there owner said.He looked a small chain to each color then to the dog house.after he went back inside,bolt went up to kolton."Dude this bites,being chained up all night."he started then looked over to kolton and saw he was asleep.

The next morning the dog's owner came outside carrying a sack."I got yall somthing."he smiledAll the dogs looked up.he trough a big turky bone to every one of them.They chowed down."But because you got these treats,that dosn't mean that you should'nt eat your breakfast."he said giveing water and food to the dogs."He is in a good mood."Bolt laughted."Lets give him somthing to be happy about today on the race."Kolton smiled.

He took his team to the starting line.The dogs owner started hooking them to his sled.First Kolton then lilly and bolt after them,then two brothers named matt and chris then the wheel dogs Oliva and bullet.Then off course was the sled.They Talked to each other about how exiting the race would be.Kolton was exited and was talking to bolt and lilly,when a fimilar face came up to him.It was brett."Hello,kolton just to remind you that you and your team are sorry losers and wont amount to anything."he said."Stop talking about the race,and acually do soming brett."kolton snapped."Oh.....I wasn't talking about the race."Brett laughted.

He walked to his team with his head held high and let his owner hook him up."Racers ready your dogs."the innercom said.Kolton bent down low like he was about to pounce.the innercom started up again."Ready.....set..........................GO!!"it blasted out.Kolton ran as fast as he could.They were winning!Brett had a shocked look on his face.They were in thired.Brett couldn't belive it.His team was in first,while kolton's was in frist!he couldn't let them win,then...he had an Idea.

Brett worked harder and tied up with second place.he was right up with the leader in the other team.the other team started going faster.Brett was mad that he could only keep thired and tuged on the other lead dog's tail,making him trip.Brett laught as his team passed."Now to get Kolton."brett smiled.

Kolton's team started to pass the clift when they herd barking.Bolt looked back and saw brett."Kolton bretts gaining!"he told him"Not for long!"kolton yelled and sped up.But still they were gaing.Soon brett's team tie up with kolton's.Kolton started going even faster.Brett was losing koltond and tied up with bolt.He tryed to bite bolt's leg but he jumped and missed."Watch it buddy!"bolt yelled and went back to his job.Again Brett striked at him.He doged oce again.I Said STOP!"bolt yelled and lunged at brett but he doged and bolt started to slid off the clift and slowed down the team.Brett's team passed them.Bolt stared sliding off of the clift.Then matt,the less strong and not wieging as must started slidding off with bolt.

Chris started falling too then the wheel dogs then the sled.Kolton and Lilly were the only ones left.Then lilly fell aswell.Kolton looked around as he was starting to fall.he found a old dead bush with all it's leaves missing..he grabbed it.he started to pull and bolt and lilly follwed when the ground from under him crubmbled and they fell .

Kolton woke up.He looked around to see the sled burried in snow.He rushed to pile of snow.He dug in the snow until he reached his owner.He dug faster until his owner was complatly exposed.he liked his face.He coughted and opened his eyes."k-kolton."he caughted.kolton wagged his tail.He started to get up but then fell.Kolton looked confused at him."It's my leg boy,I think I broke it."he sighed.Kolton helped him on the sled."Thanks boy."he saidd and patted him on the head.Then kolton thought...His teammates!He went around looking for all of his friends.He luckly found every one of his team and they wern't too badly injurd.Bolt looked up at the sky."I think we should stay here tonight and sllep,tomarro will find home."bolt said and went to lie down by there owner.

Kolton was awoken by bolt."Kolton wake up hurry!"Bolt yelled."W-what?"he asked"It's Lilly come quick!"he yelled.Kolton ran up to the sled were there owner was looking at her paws."Yep...frostbite."he sighed."Oh no,she can't run on that!what are we going to do?"Kolton asked.Then there owner took of his boot and grabed his sock and put his boot back on.He wrapped his sock around her paw.She ran around playfully."All right team lets get home."the dogs started running.

They were running when they past and tree.They heared a laud growl."What was that?"Lilly asked."I don't know but  we have to keep going!"kolton repleid.They hear the growl again but before they could do anything a mountain lion jumped infront of them."Your in my territory!"It yelled."I'm sorry but-"he was cut off."You are in my teritory!youmust pay!"it screeched.

It leapt at kolton so he twisted it's leg and it fell.It lunged at him again but kolton fell and bolt grabbed it's neck and tore.It leaped of and ran."Thanks dude!"Kolton said surprised."Oh it was nothing."bolt started."C'mon we gotta life to save.

Moments later they were home.A huge crowd surronded them."There alive!"Is all they could hear."That dog saved them!"a voise screeched out pointing to Kolton.they all surronded.at frist he was scared,then they started petting him and then he was okay with it.As a gift,they fixed there owners leg and gave a free vet viset for all the dogs.Kolton was the first.Nothing was wrong with him,so they let him out.he headed home when a fameler face appered.with all the exitment,he suddely remebered...He was the cause of them falling off a clift.
