CH. 18: the Battle, the End of the War

   Anger,Hatred, Pain, Love. These simple feelings & words that most people take advantige of. I would know but now I feel all 4.Anger for the hard work I did to get her out of there. Hatred of the man who took her. Pain of the outcome of the end of the battle. Love for her hoping that she will be ok,even if I may not make it.

   As I walked though the woods in half form,not yet wolf but not human either, I lison carefully for any ambushes that may happen. My ears pick up sounds of chirping crickets, water droping from leaves into a lake or puddle of water, & some flaps of wings with the possibliety of a bat,owl, or raven. My eyes see the dim lights of fireflys, reflections of the moon's light off the small puddles of water, & the stars. The skys cleared quickly of clouds.

   I let myself rome the grounds of the woods like a prediter & prey. I smelt his skin. It was a sickening, spicy type of sent. I turned fully wolf making myself seem more dangerous & a great threat. I made it to a clearing in the middle of the forest. He stood there; strong, pale, & cloked. His hood was over his eyes. My dearest Okami was in a shrine with electric bars & a cloth in her mouth & tied around her head on her face while her paws were tied together as well.

   My hatered flamed. I could feel the burning anger in my blood. The hate made me feel like i was about to kill all whom was around me. The man mearly laughed. "our kinds have had many many years of this war. Vampire & werewolf. Undead & living. I am the leader of the clan Bloodlust. I go by the name as Darren." I waited,clawing the ground as I waited for any moment where he would let his guard down. But yet, he seemed like he was as sharp as a tack.

   I could see the dark red glow of his eyes from under his hood. They were like glisoning blood on a ruby, unlike mine that probly have grew dull due to extra growth of the puberty of werewolfisom (long long story) finilly he pulled away his cape. He seemed like a normal vampire; handsome, minorly tall, & dangerous looking. "Just us two leaders Wolf prince. Who so ever dies or is too wounded to fight longer shall give in to the war to the other for the clan to rule."

   I jumped at him & he dodged my move, but I was quick to attack with the training I had. I simply tapped the ground jumping back at him from the back. I bit tight to the extremly spicy sent that burned my mouth & nose. He ripped me off & made me hit a tree. I got back up not turning my back on him. I growled & ran low then sprang high at him again & he gripped my muzzle & dragged me to the ground. I got a quick glance at Okami & saw that she was starting to suffercate somehow. The Anger aroused in me higher & I clawed his face making him get off of me. I shook my fur & somehow it turned pure white with grey paws, muzzle, & tail dip.

   Darren stood & cracked his neck & started to me. I jumped a last time; claws dug into his neck, my teeth ripped his ear to his nose off. I started to rip him to peices & gave up after all the flesh was removed from his bones. They turned to ash & burned slowly. I panted looking down at him & the looked back at Okami. She made it out  ok & walked over to me nuzzling my neck,"You did it. You ended the war."

   I licked her head,"Yes. Now we can live in peace. We better get back & explain whats going on." I started my way back to the Kingdom & looked back noticing that she looked like she had something on her mind. "Are you ok, Oki?" I asked her with a minor nickname. She looked up at me & smiled,"Yes,Ash. I was just thinking...would you want to be mates?" She walked over to me & licked my nose. I turned red under my fur,"Yes. Yes I would" I smiled at her

   I made it back to the Kingdom & saw that mother was pacing infrount of her bedroom. "Whats wrong,Mother?" I looked up at her. She looked down at me with dull tearful eyes with pain full in them,"Your Father is dieing." I gasped & ran into the room to see that the doctor was leaning over the bed in human form rubbing a cold cloth over his head. "I-is he going to be ok doctor?" I was worried to death if he was going to die. "I'm sorry, but he has only a few minutes left. Theres nothing that I can do to help him." I looked down at my wolf father. He looked up at me "A-Ash?"

   "Yes Dad?" I leaned further down to him. "I am truely blessed to see my son before I pass on. I will miss you & your mother. There is only one thing I want you to do for me after I pass away. Would you please be with Okami & become Alpha King?" I gasped at this extrem propose & nodded "Anything for you father. I wont let you or the kingdom down at all. We won the war dad. I killed the Vampire ruler" I smiled a bit weakly down at him. He smiled back,"thank the wolfbain. Would you let in your Mother. I want to see her one last time before I go"

   I nodded & walked out & looked at my mother in her black pelt moving back & forth "Father wants to see you before he passes" She didn't even know, I could tell in her eyes as the pain doubled. She walked in & I leaned on Okami. She put a paw on my back smiling trying to calm me "Its ok Ash. You are ok"
