Silver Lilly

“What do you want Black Moon?” Silver Lilly said in a low, brave growl. “Since you had crossed our land, you either have to kill all your pack members and runaway forever and never come back, or there is another option…..” Black Moon said as he paused. Silver Lilly gulped. She was thinking that she would have to do something to her pack, but then Black Moon came up with the other option. “Or, would you like to join our pack and become one of us?” he said as he had an evil smirk on his face. Then, Silver Lilly said, “I would like…. Like to become one…… of you guys.” She shuttered without bravery. “Nice choice, that’s what I was expecting.” He said in a low, expecting voice. The night went on, and Silver Lilly followed the pack to their den.

When they arrived at the den, Silver Lilly heard Black Moon mumble something about her to a reddish, brown wolf. Then, the wolf nodded and looked at her carefully, and then the wolf grinned and replied to her and the rest of the pack, “Let the ceremonies begin for our new member of the pack!” Silver Lilly looked confused at what was going on. First, the wolves started to circle her, and she started to feel dizzy. After when they circle her three times around, they began to howl. Silver Lilly was still confused, but then Black Moon went up to her. He was holding a blue berry bush branch in his mouth. When he settled it aside of him, he smashed the berries onto his paws. The paws were darkened with a shadowy, violet paint. He lifted his paws up and he swept them across under each eye, leaving a purplish line underneath them. Then, he covered the ears with a violet color, just like the line under the eyes. Silver Lilly was wondering what in the world why he was painting her face with blue berries. “Why am I wearing this..............?” She said in wonder to Black Moon. Then, he replied back saying, “To keep your identity while we observe you for a week to give you your pack member name.” “I’m going to get another name? What will happen to my real name?” Silver Lilly said in shock. She liked her name the way it is. “Well, if you want to become an official pack member, you need another name. This name will be based on your personality, and when your name ceremony will come, you will receive it. Now we have to give you your arrowhead necklace to show that you’re a true warrior.” Then, the same reddish brown wolf came up to her. An arrowhead necklace was dangling from its mouth and the wolf place it over her head. The arrowhead slid down from her head to her neck. The necklace fit perfectly, and Silver Lilly was having a feeling that she was an actual warrior. “Now, let’s hear your howl Silver Lilly! This will be the end of the ceremony!” shouted Black Moon with great spirit in his voice. Silver Lilly grinned at him. Then, she howled proudly into the night, leaving the islands echoing with cheer.

A couple days past, and Silver Lilly was showing Black Moon how she hunts very well. Black Moon was observing her with curiosity. He had never seen anyone hunt as spectacular like her. When, Silver Lilly had caught five, very small animals (like rabbits); Black Moon was impressed with her skills. Since he was amazed, he said, “You hunt very well like your mother.” This made Silver Lilly pause for a moment from her

hunting. “How do you know my mother?” she said as she was eyeing Black Moon. “Well…… I… used…. to….” He said with hesitation. Silver Lilly looked at him with suspicion. “How do you know my mother?” she said again eyeing at him. “Well………Okay here I go. I used to be your mother’s mate as I should say.” Silver Lilly dropped her mouth. “Are you my father that I never knew all this time?” she said shivering. “Unfortunately no. Your mother Takoda went for someone else, and your father’s name was Dasan. He was a very nice wolf. He was a pack leader of this group before with your mother. Your mother was going to have five puppies, but you were the only one to survive.” Black Moon said with disappointment. Then here comes the entire guilt trip. “Silver Lilly, the only reason why that your mother Takoda went for someone else was that we just wanted to become friends. The whole idea of being mates wasn’t our plan when we were just kids, so it felt weird. So I and she became friends and I let her mate with someone else.” “But why do you seem so disappointed?” Silver Lilly asked with curiosity. “Well, there was a new wolf in the pack. He loved your mother so much that he just wanted to be with her very badly. His name was Viho, and he had dark, red fur with brown eyes. He was consider to be very handsome and the most stunning wolf in the pack. Your mother, however, sensed that his heart was full of blackness and evil. So your mother banned him forever from the pack, because he had gone too far with her. He was very angry and his heart started to actually turn black with dark evilness. He didn’t like being alone, so he shouted and yelled at her while the pack walked away. He cried out, “I have revenge on you Takoda! You’ll see some day that you can’t get away with everything!” your mother ignored him when she was walking with your father away from him. He started to laugh evilly, and the day came when he gotten his revenge. It was a rainy day, and she was in the den; sleeping in a cave. Your mother had given birth to you and the rest of your brothers and sisters. Then, your father heard a noise from outside. He gasped, but then started to growl. “Viho. What are you doing here?” “I am here to get my revenge like I said I would.” Viho said with a wild smirk on his face.” Black Moon was still feeling miserable on telling the story to Silver Lilly. She asked, “What happened next?” Black moon replied, “He attacked your father. Your father tried his best to protect your mother, but he couldn’t make it. Your mother growled, but she was attacked too. But luckily she only passed out for awhile. After when she passed out, He killed all your brothers and sisters, except for you. You weren’t killed, because your mother was hiding you and the rest of the pups, but he noticed that she was trying to do something behind his back, so he attacked her and killed the rest that weren’t in hiding before they could.” Silver Lilly had tears coming down her eyes. “What happened to my mother?” Silver Lilly said in a gloomy voice. “After when Viho was scared off by other wolves when they heard the attacking from another cave, your mother got up from her deep sleep and found out that all you guys and your father were dead. So she started to cry for the rest of the night, until she heard whimpering behind some stones. She found you and your mother was so happy to have at least some one with her. Then, she thought that Viho would come again, and for the rest of the night she was searching for another pack to care for you. Then, someone accepted, and she never returned to our pack again, leaving us with no clues.” Black Moon said with some hope in his voice.

For the rest of the night, Silver Lilly had thoughts whirling around her head. The first thought was something she would never think before. She actually now thinks that Black Moon isn’t bad after all. He was really nice to her when she joined the pack, and he must have been nice to her mother since that they were friends when kids. Also she kept thinking about where her mother went or what happened to her. But now, all she wants is to get some good rest.
