Part two

Lilly was walking Esarosa along the beach. Esarosa was jumping and playing in the water, Lilly was playing with her. It has only been a year since Lilly had adopted her.

"Come here Esa, I need to show you something." Lilly cried out on the far side of the beach. Esarosa followed her, and Lilly walked into the deep, dark woods. Lilly stood near a log and sat there until Esarosa had caught up with her. When Esarosa had arrived, Lilly took off the collar on Esarosa's neck. Esarosa looked very confused at Lilly first but then Lilly just smiled.

"You belong with the wolves out there." Lilly said.

Esarosa looked at the woods, then her. When she was about to look at Lilly again, Lilly was walking away already! Esarosa couldn't believe that her owner just bailed on her. She knew it would be useless to follow her and get her mad. So Esarosa started her own journey in the woods.

The evening was getting very dark, and Esarosa didn't know were to get her rest. There were no caves near by, so it looks like she needs to sleep on the ground tonight.

"This tree looks comfy to sleep here." replied Esarosa while she walked in circles to get ready to fall asleep. For the rest of the night she slept, but then she was awoken. It was her stomach growling like an angry bear.

Grrrrr......... Her stomach went, so Esarosa got up to search for something. Then something caught her eyes. It was a squirrel on the grown trying to find its missing acorns. Esarosa liked her lips. She crouched behind the bushes, making no sound. Then, all of a sudden she pounced on the little mammal. The little squirrel was too quick, so it dashed up the tree. Esarosa used her claws to climb the tree. Then, she was on a sturdy branch, so she climbed one after another until she found the little squirrel in a hole of the tall tree. She peered into the whole. The squirrel was cornered, so it couldn't escape. So Esarosa took her sharp teeth and dug into its neck. Mission completed she thought, and she made her way down the tree.  When she made it to the ground, she practically ate the squirrel whole. Evening though it was not enough for a big appetite like her, the sun was rising, so she had to continue the journey to find a pack of wolves that are with Aleu. So she followed a river that went north, and she continued for the rest of the morning.

The morning went on, and Esarosa was drinking water at a little stream that had flown through the forest. Then, she heard ruffle in the bushes, but when she turned her head, nothing was there. So she went on drinking the water, until she felt something standing over her. She turned her head, and what she had seen was a brown, ferocious bear with yellow glaring eyes right over her. Esarosa didn’t know what to do, but then an idea came to her head. So she went under his legs and gave him bite on his tail when she was on the other side of the bear. The bear screamed in anger when he tripped over a log when she bit him. Then, Esarosa attacked him on his body when he was trying to get up from his back, but she bumped her nose to his. The bear gotten angrier, so he pounded her to the ground. Esarosa tried to get up, but then the bear raised his left hand and hit her in the face. This made her mad, so with all her might, she attacked him on his arm. Then, she pounced off his arm and bit him in the neck. She wouldn’t let go, and the bear screamed hysterically. Then, the bear didn’t notice that there was a hill, so the two went tumbling down it. When they came to the bottom, Esarosa notice she was on top of him, and that he was dead. There were some blood stains on her, but she thought she was going to be okay, so she kept on moving north. She was thinking that everything was going to quick, and she didn’t like the feeling nor she didn’t like the thought about everything happening at the same time.

A day passed by. Esarosa came upon a big, icy, freezing lake covered with snow. It looked sturdy enough to hold her weight, so she carefully walked on it. When she was in the middle of the iced lake, she saw a red fox ten feet away from her.

"Please help me get across." said the fox in a sly voice. Esarosa thought it was a trick at first, so she ignored the red fox and kept walking. But then the fox asked in sly way again.

"Please help me; I will do no harm to you."

Esarosa turned to face her and thought for awhile. Then she had made her decision.

"Alright, I will help you, but you promised no harm to me. But if you do, I will tear you apart." Esarosa said in a nervous way, thinking that the fox will put her in danger. So she grabbed the red fox by the neck gently and started to trot off to the other side of the lake. Esarosa was almost there until the red fox had kicked her in the neck. Esarosa fell down and the red fox escaped away from her mouth and made it to the other side of the iced lake.

"I am so totally going to tear you......" there was a pause when she had gotten up. Apparently, since the red fox kicked her and made her fell down, her force made the ice lake crack in half. There was no time to talk. So Esarosa ran fast as she can to the other side, but she was cornered! The ice broke and she fell through. The water was splashing and splashing around her head, and Esarosa tried to gasp for air. She was finally trying to get on top of the ice, but two, huge ice blocks were about to smash her. So she let her grasp of her claws on the ice to let go. She fell under water. She was trapped! She smashed her back against the ice hard. Nothing happened accept that the ice from on top was cracking. So she repeated again and again with her back until it had completely broken the ice. She let out a gasp for air. Then, she swam to the other side of the iced lake. When she was on land, she shook her fur to dry off. Esarosa then remembered about the fox, but she knew there was no time to be playing games.

The day was growing dark. Instead of finding a place to sleep and waste time to find Aleu’s wolf pack, she kept on moving north to make the journey.

 **********

Esarosa was getting very hungry as the minutes passed by. The wind blew and she smelt something in the air. So she followed the scent and went on a new trail. She something scurries in the bushes of the darkened forest. She kept closer and closer to the object. She didn't want to scare it off, so she went very quietly. When she got up to see the object closer and closer, she noticed it was a caribou. Perfect meal she thought, so she pounced on top of it. She grabbed the neck and bit it. The caribou gave a wild scream, scaring the birds that flew away. Esarosa dragged the caribou across to a nearby comfy tree that was not far away from her trail that was going north. She ate it all and she was pleased. Since she was so comfy, she fell asleep in a second.

Dreams of ravens and home whirled around her head. The sun rose. Esarosa continued to head north for the morning.
