It was a cold Alasakan night and Balto and Jenna were both sound asleep in Roseie's room because Balto saved Roseie's life he was allowed to spend as many nights at her house he wanted to.

Balto suddenly arose with a sense of alarm for he had heard a loud BANG! outside. Bato crept toward Roseie's window and saw that nothing was out of place. Well, the snow was going everywhere so he couldn't really see but he sensed nothing unusal so what had woken him up?  

"Guess I'm still getting better from running the medicine" he thought to himself grogily. Only a week before Balto had saved the young people of Nome from a sickness that could've killed them. Now Balto was a hero and no longer an outcast but away from the sleeping town in a shabby shed if you could call it that, was Steele. Steele had been a traitor to the dogs and instead of the hero. "Balto's got everything" Steele growled "Fame, Respect, and best of all, Jenna". 

Steele nearly cried when he thought of poor Jenna, living with Balto, and maybe having puppies with that Wolf-Dog. The only reasurrance from that last thought was that the puppies despite having Jenna as a Mom, would be EXTREMELEY ugly. But he had a plan, a despicable, devilish, downright cruel, trick up his fur. Jenny, Jenna's sister, who had secretly been dating Steele for 3 days, contacted Aopi, her evil magican uncle, to perform a horrible spell.

Aopi, loved Jenny but hated Jenna, was only to glad to help the couple. Steele and Aopi warned Jenny that the spell might be dangerous but Jenny just wanted to help her love. Aopi started the incantation:

The Twin Doppeldanger

Oh, mighty spritis 

A great favor I ask of you

for the period of 31 days

Make Jenny and Jenna switch bodies

So that Balto's world will come undone!

Aopi finished, and said in a booming voice, "The spell will start in the morning" he said " Jenny, you will wake up in Rosie's bed, and you will remain in that form until midnight on December first". In a poof of smoke he disappeared, without another word. Jenny was thrilled she would finally get revenge for Steele.

When Morning came it was all true what Aopi had said. Jenny suddenly burst in an ugly green light and she was in Jenna's body and poor Jenna vice versea! First, Jenna was confused about where she was, then Steele came into focus, Jenna schreeced, "Get out of my face"! Jenna bolted from the shed, and ran down Main Street, Kaltag saw her and addressed her as such, "Good Morning, Jenny". "Jenny"? she thought to herself. She just dismissed it as it was early in the morning and maybe Kaltag was half asleep.

"Good Morning, Kaltag". Was all she said, and she walked away slowly. But when Slvyie and Star called her Jenny, too, she ran from town and stopped beside the ocean, and what she saw in her reflection made her gasp, in disbelief, she rubbed her eyes with her paws.

There, her sister Jenny's reflection stared back at her instead of hers. "Oh, I get it", "I must be dreaming" Jenna thought to herself. But this was no dream, and in the distance she heard a familair howl. Aniu, Balto's Mother had already aided her once, surely she wouldn't mind a second time?

"Jenna", Aniu said,(Okay, so she didn't move her lips, but Jenna heard her in her head) "I know what has happened to you". Aniu paused, then sighed. " I'm afraid your constant courter Steele, has cast another spell on your life", but this time with the help of your sister, Jenny".

"Steele and Jenny"?! Jenna couldn't believe her sister's ears. Her sister was working with Steele, against her? Granted the hadn't been the closest siblings but nonetheless they were sisters. Hpw could Jenny betray her like that? Then Jenna remembered, Jenny was OBSESSED with Steele, even more so than Dixie. It was no wonder, Steele probably lied he'd be her boyfriend if she helped him.

"Yes, Jenny has betrayed you, (she rooted around in Jenna's thoughts) Jenna, But more importantly, is how we break the spell put on you".  Aniu looked worried, "I'm afraid that I can't break this spell", don't worry it wears off but"... She trailed off, so Jenna continued, "The damage we'll be done,huh"?

"I'm afraid so, Dear" she looked depreesed so Jenna said, "Whatever Steele and Jenny have in store, I'm gonna try to put up with it". Aniu closed her eyes then smiled gently. "Jenna, you are truly loving and courageous, I'll try to find a cure but until month's end.." "You're stuck in Jenny's, body".

"Good-Bye, Jenna, and good luck". Aniu howled, then dissappered. Jenna collpased and sobbed. How was she gonna get out of this one? "Well, feeling sorry for myself won't get me anywhere". she told herself.  Then, she had an idea. "I'll just act toward's Balto the way I always do, then when the month's up I'll try to fix anything that's happened".

Sure, it wasn't the BEST plan she could come up with, but it was better than nothing at all. So, picking herself up, Jenna walked towards town, towards Rosy's house...! Jenna realized that she COULDN'T go to her master because, she didn't look like heself anymore! This thought in itself made her cry, she'd just have to go live with Jenny's master for awhile.

Kaylee was a kind, respectable person in town and very fond of Jenny.  Despite this, Jenna was sad that she couldn't return to Rosy. Would Jenny bite her? Run away? These thoughts gave Jenna a shudder of greif. What if Jenny ruined her life, with Rosy? and Balto. Poor Balto would be woundering why his mate, rejected him so. Worse yet, for Steele.

Jenny was barking at Balto loudly, so loud it woke Rosy up. "Jenna, what's the matter"? she asked. When Rosy tried to pet her, she growled deeply. Suddenly, Jenna jumped of the bed and went for Balto's throat. Rosy grabbed her bandana just in time, and hollored for her parents. Her parents rushed in and asked, " Rosy, what's wrong"?! Rosy was panting trying to hold Jenny back. Her father saw this and grabbed the dog.

"Jenna, tried to hurt Balto"! she cried, "I barely managed to hold her back"! Balto, who was whimpering, run over to Rosy, and did a doggy cry. Why was Jenna being so cruel? When she tried to attack him she hissed,"Stupid wolf-dog, I can't believe you saved this stupid kid"!!! While Rosy held Balto, Rosy's dad put Jenna outside and bellowed,"I don't know what got into you, but it's almost Rosy's birthday, and for a present, Balto's gonna live with us"!! He slammed the door.

Jenny snickered, this was going great! When she spied her sister sleeping in her owner's house, she chuckeld evily. This was going to be the best month of her life! She trotted towards the shabby shack were Steele now resided. It was time for her daily report....

Jenny belongs to Achala, Balto, Jenna, Kaltag, Star, Slyvie, Steele, Aniu, Rosy, and her parents belong to evil universal!!
