to me,” “Your welcome, I was born a poetic lion cub whatever I see I could make it into a poem,” “Really?” “Yeah when I saw you I made a poem and said to you,” “Ok let’s see can you make a poem about the Pride Lands?” “Of course, What is true than the evergreen lands that shine bright during the day, a place of wonder I may say that I know of what to call, but the pride of lions live the Pride Lands,” “Wow you are amazing you know that I would love to hear your poems every day,” “You can, I’m planning on staying here,” “Well if my parents say it’s alright for Heri to have your brother here then your alright to stay,” “Thank you Tunaini you can hear anything from me whenever you.”
CHAPTER 8 A BIG THREAT
“Heh well brother you have found a lover, well now I take everything from you that makes you happy,” a lioness said with a somewhat evil voice, “This is for all the ones that were rightfully king, Scar, Kifo, and Kucha, I may not have an army like Scar, Kifo, or Kucha had I do things alone,” then she left into the darkness of the savannah. “Heri I need to tell you something,” “What what is it,” Ushindi leaned in and whispered in her ear, “Happy Birthday,” “How did you know I haven’t told you when I was born?” “Siri told me and she said you can spend time, with me, Siri, Moyo, Tunaini, and Ondoka, it’s just going to be fun with us,” “Yes it will, maybe I can get visited by my spirit parents,” “Let’s hope you do see them,” with that said they left the cave and walked to the top of Pride Rock, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY HERI!!!!!!!!!” this got Heri by surprise, “Thank you, everyone,” then Siri walked up to Heri and said to her, “You are now a young lioness, you can do whatever you wish, just remember what I said to you,” “Yeah mom I remember,” “Ok let’s go for a little walk.” After a few hours they came back laugh two with two, Siri with Moyo, Tunaini with Ondoka, and Heri with Ushindi. When they got to the cave of Pride Rock everyone gathered around Ondoka to hear his poems that he can make, “OK do I have any requests?” just then Heri said, “A poem of love,” “Heh ok,” Ondoka cleared his throat and began, “What is love, a love to be loved, no one shall not be loved the way one is loved, all can get enough love but not as much as we all give to each other,” Siri’s and Moyo’s eyes went wide at the poem he said, “That was beautiful Ondoka, where’d you learn to say thing like that?” “It’s a grand gift I heard my mom saying poems to my dad once, and then I started to say poems, then I saw Tunaini then I could make a thousand about her, but I can make a lot more about anything else I see, smell, touch, or hear,” “Well done you are amazing,” “Thank you, and a happy birthday to you Heri,” “Thank you, Ushindi I’m getting tired, I’m going to go to sleep,” “Ok I’ll be in shortly,” Ushindi then watched her leave and go into her cave. “God she’s beautiful, I love her so much,” “I know you do you can have when she’s ready,” “Alright,” he then got up and said, “I’m going to join her, I’m also getting tired,” “Ok you two have a pleasant sleep.” As Ushindi entered the cave he saw Heri on the ground on her back twitching, “Heh she’s so cute when she sleeps,” he then moved to her and put his head on her belly and closed his eyes and feel asleep.
When morning came Heri awoke to see Ushindi’s head on her stomach, “Morning love,” she said, he looked up with a smile, “Morning, how’d you sleep?” “Pretty well, had a dream about you, what about you how’d sleep?” “Good I was comfortable you have a really soft stomach, better than the rock I had to sleep on,” “That’s good to hear, come on lets go see our new couple,” “Ok I bet you a kiss that he is saying something poetic,” “Alright my lion and I bet on full night to sleep in the corner by ourselves,” “Deal,” both their tails wrapped around each other and shook, as they made their way to the couple who apparently were talking, “What do I see to hot African day I see a hot lioness bathing away in the day of a haze of contempt…damn that doesn’t feel right…how about in the day of haze by a singing blue jay,” he then stopped his poem short and thought about it, “Yeah that kinda works what do you think Tunaini?” “You know I don’t care all your poems are beautiful to me,” “thank you, Tunaini,” both kissed, and then Heri and Ushindi came up, “Told you, they both said at once, “He said a poem,” “No both were kissing, the both argued back and forth for about 3 minutes, “Hey, Hey, I said a poem…” “Haa told ya,” “And then we kissed,” “Told you,” Heri said then at once Heri and Ushindi then said, “We both lost our bet,” “Well we don’t go on with it right?” “Well since none of us won the bet it is off, anyway we just came to see how you two were doing,” “Oh we’re fine thanks for checking up on us,” “Your welcome come on Heri let’s get some water,” “Ok,” the two of them left and got a drink of water then out of nowhere there was an evil chuckle, “Hehehe, well brother looks like we got to see each other again,” “What? Woga?” “Ushindi who is she?” “My sister, I haven’t seen her since me and Ondoka were cubs,” “Didn’t I tell ya, why I left Ushindi?” “No,” “Well did mother and father tell you that I was looking for a new home?” “Yes they did,” “Well they lied they hated me and your brother I left in one direction and he in the other, you were their pride and joy, they hated me because I struck fear into others, and as for your brother he was just to poetic they didn’t like that, tell him you know, if you two survive,” and with that Woga lunged at Heri, but Ushindi dived in her path colliding with Woga, “You will leave the Pride Lands Woga and never return,” “Heh you think that’ll stop me I know for a fact that you will die along with your precious lover,” and with that said Woga left, “Heri I’m sorry she tried to hurt you, I won’t let that happen, I won’t let anything happen to you,” he nuzzled her gently and then gave her a kiss on the forehead, “Thanks Ushindi, I feel safe when I’m with you,” “I love you, so much,” “I know, come on let’s go to our cave,” Heri nodded and stayed close to Ushindi who had a serious look on his face, “Are you mad at me?” “Hmm, no, no I’m not I’m mad at Woga, for attempting to kill you,” as they got there Ushindi let Heri go in first, as then Ushindi got in, “Alright Heri I think I have some explaining to do so here it is,” he took in a deep breath and began, “When I was young I was following with Ondoka,”
“Come Shindi hurry up,” a young Ushindi came running up to his brother, “What is it you got to show me?” “Shhh we have to be quiet,” Ushindi followed a young Ondoka, the walked into a cave where there were three lions talking two female and one male, they were apparently arguing, “I’M NOT GOING TO STAND FOR THIS WOGA!!!!” said the female, “Well who said I was going to stand for this too,” “DON’T YOU SAY THAT TO ME,” “I DON’T CARE ANYMORE IT IS YOUR FUCKING FAULT THAT I HAVE NO FRIENDS!!! EVERYONE FEARED ME AND THEY STILL FEAR ME!!!! IT’S BECAUSE OF YOU AND DAD!!!” then all of a sudden the male struck her leaving four scars over the left side of Woga’s face, the Woga then said calmly not showing any sign of pain, “And now I get hit…Good-bye you’ll never see me again,” “AND BEFORE YOU DO GET YOUR BROTHERS IN HERE!!!” the mother still angry said, walking away still pissed but calm Woga left the cave. When Woga left the cave she saw her two brothers, she kind of gave them a look that said ‘back off I’m really pissed,’ but then she sat down on the side of the cave, “Mom and dad want to see you both, apparently they want to talk to you about what happened,” she said with more of an angered expression, the two brother’s looked at her then walked to their den. “Boys get in here,” their mother said calmly, “Yes mother, what is it?” they both asked in unison, “We want to tell you that your sister is leaving,” “Why?” they tried not to make it seem like they were around, “She well decided to leave and find a mate,” “But what are those scar’s on her face?” then the dad cut in, “She fell,” the Ondoka had it, “That’s not true I saw what happened,” with wide surprised eyes, “I saw you yelling at her, she’s got a point why did you name her that? She tried to make friends, me and Ushindi are her only friends, and then she accidently tackled someone when she was playing with us, and that someone blamed her for it and said it was on purpose she was blamed for everything, and then you call her in her and yell at her, and then,” he looks at his father, “And you hit her, you lied to us and said she fell, how can someone get four fresh cuts on the left side of their face? I’m also not going to stand for this she doesn’t deserve to be treated like this,” Ondoka then left, and walked to his sister and licked her wound. As for Ushindi he was still in the cave, “Ushindi what are we going to do with them,” the mother asked, “I don’t know but from what I heard I think you were kinda hard on her,” “Go on I need to talk to your father alone,” Ushindi then ran out and found his siblings, “Hey, guy’s,” “Hey,” “How are you feeling sis?” “I’ll live,” “I can’t believe they did that to you,” “I don’t care, and what they told you, is true, I am leaving never to be seen again, I can see that I’m not loved,” “But we still love you Furahi,” then her expression changed, “What did you call me?” “I called you Furahi, it means Happy, I don’t want you to be miserable,” “Heh thanks for trying Shindi,” she grabbed him and gave him a small noogie, “But I still want to leave, I’m leaving tomorrow,” she then got up, “I need to be alone for awhile.”
“And that’s when she lost it, me or Ondoka never saw her again, she felt like she wasn’t wanted ever since mom
