NOTE: This story will make more sense if you read: A bad choice, and Stone's revenge. Misty, Ashton, Stone, Princess, Maxie, Hudson, Lennie and Jumper are all of MY characters. DO NOT STEAL THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My life sucks. I have no friends(well maybe some, it's just that they're not really what you want to call "friends"..), or family. Well, I HAD family - But my mother abandoned me when I was small. All I can remember about her is her sweet-sounding voice, and her red-orange fur. She was a malimute, like me. Longing to belong in the world. An outcast. A lone wolf. But, I'm a malimute dog, not a wolf. My name is Misty, an all black dog. And...this..is my story.

"Ha! Just look at how pitiful she is!" A brown and white dog declared.

"Give it up, Cooper! She's just like any of us." Another dog said; black and white.

"You stay out of this Lightening!" Cooper snapped back, pushing his younger brother.

"Hey, I don't think picking on Misty will make your mother happy, I'll tell you that much!" A orange cat stated; Princess is her name.

"What you gonna do, huh missy prissy?" Cooper asked, annoyed.

"Well, lets see. I, am her best friend. And, for a cat, I am very strong. So..YOU"D BETTER STAY OUTTA MY WAY!" She shrieked back.

"Brother, you should stop! Now! I Don't like how you're acting lately!" Lightening insisted, pouting.

"I told you to stay out of this Lightening!" Cooper yelled at him. Lightening's ears drooped and he backed off, his head lowering.

"He's right. Please, why are you doing this to me?" Misty asked. Cooper said nothing. But he glared at her. Finally, he turned his back on her, his eyes welling up in tears. What a baby he is, Misty thought. One second he's acting all tough, and the next second, he's a marshmallow. "What's his problem? What's up with your brother, Lightening?" Misty asked again.

"We..uhhh....you really wouldn't want to hear it.....its sorta a long story..." He mumbled, his ears still drooped. Misty began to become suspisious and confused. Why were they always gloomy and bullying other people like that? Misty pondered.

"Hey!" A yell broke into Misty's thoughts. It was Princess, looking perfect as always.  "Wanna go get some food or something?" Princess shouted from afar.

"Uhhh, sure!" Misty replied.

"Whatever," Princess called back, coldly. Misty looked at her. No wonder cats and dogs are enemys, she thought. Princess's name suits her well! "Well? Are you coming or not?" Princess yelled again, sounding annoyed.

"Oh - yeah!" Misty began to run after her feline...."Aquaintence".

"Hey", Princess repeated as they walked in unision.

"Yeah?" Misty responded.

"You looking to meet some guys there?" Princess asked eagerly.

"Well..." Misty didn't know what to say. Did she? Soon, silence broke into laughter. "Yeah, sure. Why wouldn't I?" She laughed softly. "There should be lots there," She said.

"Yeah, because men can be pigs when it comes to food. Yuck!" Princess retorted. Misty looked at her with a dazed expression. She has lots of boyfriends, yet she treats them like dirt. Wraps them around her finger and lets them dangle.

"Uh huh..." Misty said. And she is my friend, why? She asked herself. Doesn't really make sense...I gotta get rid of her.

"Anyway, lets get goin'. I'm starved!" Princess began to pad along her way ; Misty following behind her. They arrived in about 10 minutes to a dumster...."Ok Misty...what the hell is this?" Princess snorted.

"It's called food...." She replied.

"No. That's called trash. Ever heard of it?" Princess began to walk away.  "When I said food, I want real food Misty. Not.....this junk! Come with me, to my house to be exact. There, I shall have real food."

What does she mean when she says, I shall have real food? Probably means I'm not having any, Misty thought. Not my fault I'm humanless..."Princess, I'm not coming with you." Misty was trying to get away from her so she could eat.

"Nonsense! You're coming with me and that's final." She demanded.

Now.... If she thinks she can boss me around like that, she's got another thing comin'! Misty thought. "............Ok....I will." Misty said. "But I bet you won't let me in.." She added under her breath.

"What was that last part?" Princess asked.

"Oh, it was nothing, really." Misty replied.

"No, Really, I insist You tell me." Princess replied back.

She will never give up until she gets what she wants...will she? Misty thought coldly.

"You didn't need to hear it, Princess." Misty sternly replied.

"Ok, I demand you to tell me." Princess demanded.

"No." Misty tried not to blurt out all of the horrible thoughts she had....but she did have half the mind of telling her.

Misty said nothing after that. But princess blabbed on and on about wanting to hear what she had said. Then...they were halfway there when Misty began to finally snap. "Princess..." Misty began.

"What? Are you finally going to to tell me?" Princess practically blurted it out.

"No, Princess. I was going to tell you to SHUT THAT PIE-HOLE!!!!!!!" Misty began to walk away....when Princess just went and had to break another vein...

"Hey! You cannot boss me around like that! Only thing is I can boss you around............"  That was the final straw for Misty.

" You think I boss YOU around!? WELL WHY DON'T YOU JUST...screw OFF... BEYOTCH!!"  Misty totally snapped.  She walked over to Princess and whispered something in her ear.    " You learned your lesson about me, didn't you? You  never mess with the wrong dog. Got that?"

"Geeze, I'm stressed," Misty complained. "I didn't really mean to yell at her that much. Just a little so she could get a taste of her own medicine...I guess."  Lightening sat beside her.

"Well, just go apoligize.." He replied.

"It isn't that easy, trust me." She stood up and began to paw away.

"huh? - oh, Misty! Where ya' goin'  to?" Lightening jumped.

"...To finish some.... un-finished buissness." She replied.

"....What?" Lightening stuttered.

Misty trotted along, feeling proud and blue at the same time. She was proud at the fact that she had stood up for herself but...would Princess still be her friend? She had to find out. So, she made her way to Princess's home. She scratched at the door, and saw Princess at the door. Misty smiled, and dangled her tongue off the side of her mouth. But all she heard from the inside was a hiss. Misty lowered her head, and started her way to the ocean.

                              . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

"I am so stupid!" Misty hollered, kicking a rock into the water with her hind legs. Why did I have to go and do that to myself? I'll have no friends by the time the year is up.

"Damn right your stupid!" A voice shouted from afar. Misty knew right away who it was.

"What do you want, Cooper?" But when she turned around, it was Lightening that faced her. "Huh? Lightening! Wheres Cooper?"

"Not here." He replied sharply. Misty raised her eyebrows.

"Then..were you the one who called me stupid?" She asked, hoping no would be his answer. What am I saying? Lightening wouldn't say something like that! Hes my friend. Unlike Cooper.

"Yeah." Misty gasped.

"Yeah? But why? I thought we were friends!" She cried.

"We were. Until I found out what you did to Cooper!"

"But I never did anything to Cooper! What did I do exactly?"

"......None of your bussiness! Shut up!"

"Ah! Don't you tell me to shut up! Wh-.... Oh my gosh! I can't even believe I'm having this conversation with you! I don't even like your brother! and I thought we were friends!" She yelled and rand off, tears welling up in her eyes."

"Fine! Run away like the scared little dog you are!" His voice echoed through the nights sky. She ran as far as a waterfall and a rock. She sat down on the rock. She still heard Lightening's words echo through her head. Scared little dog!

"If noone here likes me...where do I belong?" She thought for once in her life....that she wasn't wanted anywhere..that noone cared for her. She was...alone.

Through the nights, she wandered. Through snow and hail, rain and walked through the toughest of terrains searching for food. But everytime she began a hunt, she failed. "What am I doing? I'm not a wolf..I'm so weak and cold...and hungry..ooohh!" For a moment, she felt faint, and only saw darkness. She had to find food, or shelter. And for another moment, she felt hope! There in a snowy tundra field, she saw a happy family of field mice! "Then what the crap am I doing here? Ok, little mice....time to die.." She slowly crept up behind the mice, only to scare them all off. All hope faded away. She no longer had the strength to talk, walk to that convinient little tree hut...god dammit...nor enough energy to howl. the only thought left in her mind was that her friends had betrayed her, she had betrayed her friend, noone liked her, her parents left her, and now she was going to die. And noone could save her. She couldn't even save herself. Then for one short second, for some reason, she felt warm and soft, as if in a bed. Was she in hell? Before she could glance at what was next to her, she fainted. All darkness consumed, and all she could wait for was an absolution.

She woke up..suprisingly. Was she dead? No. She was wrapped in a coat of what looked like bear fur. Humans? She looked up to her rescuers. It was..a wolf, with black fur, a long neck, a necklace and a scar on his right eye. "Gasp!" She started breathing fast. He left...was he leaving? She got up, feeling brand new! What a day, she thought. "I wonder....if he saved me does he like me?" She pondered, and noticed him prance back in, with a cloth sac filled with berries, and Misty's fave meat! The wolf dropped it on the floor, and Misty wasted no time.
