CHAPTER 1

  Ricky walked across to his house. He was now a full grown Siberian Husky. He lived outside of town the oppisite way of his mother and father, Jenna and Steele. He lives with his 19 year old owner who wants to be a champion musher. He had bright blue eyes like his father but now he has dark blue eyes and is still black and white.

"Hey Ricky," yelled a grey and white husky named Timber.

"Hey Tim, whats up?" asked Ricky.

"I heard Oliver say that we are going to race Kodi's mail team tomarrow for fun!" howled Timber going in circled now.

"Really?! That's great!" said Ricky half happy half not. Since he found out that Kodi was his half brother he always try to beat him at everything, but Kodi always won, and he also got the girl of his dreams, even though she was about a year older than him.

"Man, how I can't wait! Did you now that Kodi is Balto's son!!" laughed Timber running off to tell the other team members.

*Ya right, I will beat Kodi no matter what I am gunna win!* thought Ricky.

Ricky went into the house and jumped on his masters bed who was already a sleep. Not long did Ricky soon fall asleep.

Ricky was running towards the forest with his bestest friend in the world, Maggie a black and cream husky.

"Come on Ricky, I now Steeles son can run faster then that!" she laughed.

"No fair, you now you have two parents as race dogs!" laughed Ricky.

"But there not champs!" said Maggie running out of breath.

 Ricky ran faster then he had ever had before and was now in the lead, Ricky looked behind him and saw Maggie right on his tail until......

"AHHHHH!" howled Ricky.

"RICKY!!" yelled his owner Oliver.

"Ricky you'll okay?: asked Fissure.

"Ya, ya just a nightmare," said Ricky.

Ricky got up and went outside to take some fresh air. He has been haveing that nightmare for about a week now. He hated that day. Maggie, his bestest friend in the world had falling of the cliff and had died, no one saw her body. And now her parents hated Ricky.

Ricky decided to take a walk to the sparkling lake that is in the forest. He walked at a slow pace remembering his bestest friend that he had loved sp much. He got to the lake in about five minutes, without even thinking he went past the lake and deeper into the forest. He walked for miled until he tripped over a tree stub.

"Huh? O man, I went to far into the forest!" whined Ricky.

When Ricky got up he felt a sharp pain in his back, and then without any words he fainted.

 

Two hours later Ricky awoke in a dark damp cave without nowing were he was, and that is never good. He opened his eyes and saw nothing except light comeing from the entance. He went to the entrance but befor he could enter he heard some say.

"Kantya, he was lost, we do not hurt lost animals, even if they are dogs!" snarled someone.

"But, Alpha, he was dazed," said a weak voice.

The other wolf just snarled and walked into the light, "Oh, husky, I see your awake," said a wolf.

" GRRRRRRRRR," growled Ricky, his fur stood up bared his teeth, more then his father has ever done to Balto, his step father.

"Wow! Looks like your a dog thats not fond of wolves, I'm Jinju, the leader of this pack. My I ask you why your not fond of wolves?" asked Jinju.

"My step father is half wolf! My dad hates Wolves. My sister likes wolves. My mom does too. My step father beats my dad at everything. My half brother beats me at everything." said Ricky still growling.

"That gives you no reason to hate wolves, you live around them they should be a normal animal to you. What's your name son?" asked Jinju.

"Why should I tell you?" growled Ricky.

"So we could call your family, you still have a mother and father who still love you so you will tell me your name," said Jinju.

"Fine be that way wolf, my name is Ricky," said Ricky calming down.

"Thank you, My daughter will take care of you while you are here," said Jinju getting up and walking out of the cave.

About two minutes later a female wolf came in the cave. She was black and light cream with green eyes. She was built strong, but yet she wasn't nearly as strong as the other wolves in the pack.

"Hi, I'm Magintine, you could just call me Mags," smiled Mags.

Ricky, once in his life, was speechless. She looked like a fairy tale princess that his mother use to tell him and his siblings when he was still a pup.

"O...k," said Ricky, managing a smile.

"Are you hungry? We have plenty to eat," said Mags.

"Ummmm, well ya I haven't had anything since last night and then that wolf attacked me," said Ricky.

"Don't mind Kantya, he protects this pack with his life," laughed Mags walking out," come with me, i'll show you around."

Ricky got up and fallowed Mags out into the camp. All the wolves, which was about eight og them looked up at Ricky with faces. For once in a life time Ricky felt like he was the toy that a cat was playing with, and he was usally the cat. In about two minutes they came to a big pile of meat.

"Well pick your choice Ricky!" smiled Mags.

Ricky looked at a hare and picked that up. Mags took a deer leg and smiled at Ricky, "Have you ever had meat? I mean meat thats not cooked?"

"No, if you don't count hot dogs," said Ricky.

"You eat your own kind?" asked Mags su[rised.

"NO! It's just called Hot dogs, it made of pigs i think," said Ricky."

"Oh," said Mags digging into her deer lieg.

When  they were done eating Jinju came up, " I'm glad you feel home Ricky, and your mother said that we should bring you home since Balto just broke his leg. But you will have to wait until two months, my mate just had her pups so we can't move."

"What! I can't leave!" said Ricky standing up.

"Ricky! They're my siblings and if we move them they could die!" growled Mags.

Ricky looked at Mags, that tone of voice seemed familiar so he sat down, "Fine, but once it's two months i'm leaving for home." Jinju smiled and walked of to some other wolves.

"Thanks Ricky. I know you don't want to stay but I love my siblings," smiled Mags pushing Ricky friendly.

"Ya whatever," yawned Ricky putting his head down.

Ricky ran around the block raceing Maggie. He was winning and he could hear her saying, "IF I KEEP RUNNING I"M GUNNA DIE!", but he new she was haveing fun. But then he got pushed by a big cream husky.

"Maggie get in here right now, we don't play with Steele's pups," growled her.

"Yes mum, i'm sorry Ricky they just don't like your father for some reason," said Maggie going inside.

Ricky woke up from being poked in the ribs by someone. He opened one eye and saw Mags looking at him.

"What?" asked Ricky putting his head up.

"Come on, I want to show you something!" smiled Mags runnig out of the cave.

Ricky got up and sprinted after her. She kept on running away from him so he started to run after her instead of sprinted. Soon they ended up at a big cliff, in which Ricky remembered well.

"Hey Mags, do we have to be here?" asked Ricky not wanting to remember his past.

"Come on," she said disapeering in a crack.

"Maggie! I don't want to," said Ricky.

"What? Did you just call me Maggie?" asked Mags.

"N-no, I said Mags," said Ricky.

Mags came up to him and pulled his collar. Ricky tried to stay back, but she was to strong for him so he gave up and fallowed her. He went inside the cave and looked at all the rocks. They were all different colors. Then he saw a lot of smashed up rocks that formed a rainbowish type thing.

"Did you do that?" asked Ricky.

"Ya, when I was a pup. I fell down that hole up there and crushed all the rocks, and the Jinju found me and took me in," sighed Mags.

"So you're nnot really his daughter?" asked Ricky.

"No, i guess not. But in his heart I am, and one of the pups in his new litter is going to be his hier," said Mags wagging her tail.

"Why are you so happy then?" said Ricky suprised.

" Because, being leader means you have to have the most preasure, and so does th omega, looking after the pups and all that. So it's nice to be just the alpha's pup and you don't have to do that much," explained Mags.

"That would be so much preasure, if you already didn't have it. I'm the lead dog of a sled team. You have to keep six dogs in line, and if they mess up make sure they do better next time. You also have to take care of them, like they are  family even though they aren't," explained Ricky.

Mags cocked her head and asked, " What's a sled team, that sounds very familiar?"

"A sled team is when you have a team of dogs, or pack, that travel to different towns to help people," explained Ricky agian.

"Ohhh, i'v seen those around. I love it how you guys work together in a beat to run at the same speed.," said Mags with a glow in her eyes.

"Hey, Mags? Do you remember anything that happened to you before you fell down that hole?" asked Ricky.

"Sadly no, I don't know anything. Not even were i had lived or anyone i knew," frowned Mags, " Why do you ask?"

"Just wondering," said Ricky.

"Well we better be getting back before dad gets mad, come on," smiled Mags running towards the  pack lands. Ricky smiled and ran after her, he loved running feeling the wind in his fur the sounds of his breath, how colors blend together when he goes so fast.

CHAPTER 2

Ricky has been with the pack now for two months now, which means he was finally gunna go home to his owner, his friends, and his family. Ricky was the only one awake and he looked at Mags sound a sleep next to her three little brothers. He wanted to leave, but then leaving Mags, he didn't even want to think about it. He did have a crush on her at first but now he is relizing that he liked her even more.

"OOOOoooooooo, everyone in the pack wake up, it's time to go south for the summer, one our way we will have to bring Ricky home," announced Jinju walking towards the forest and waiting for the rest of the pack.

In about two or three minutes the whole pack was behind Jinju and so Jinju started to jog torwards the little town that Ricky had
