It was a couple of weeks passed since Waya had her pups in the town before her. Waya layed in the underbrush right in front of a courtyard, where she waited patiently to see her pups secretly. She had told Truck she had went out hunting, which was a lie of course.
This was her second vist of seeing her pups, but it was good that Truck wasn't becoming suspicious of why she was going out hunting every single day. He probably thought that she needed time to deal with the loss of her pups.
Waya snapped out of her thoughts as she heard the flap of the doggie door swing open. She nearly jumped as she saw Rosie lead out six adorable pups. Four of which belonged to Waya. She wagged her tail happily, but made sure it was loud that it disturbed the the brush under her tail.
She could help, but smile as the four pups began to play with one another as if they were born from the same litter. Waya knew the story Rosie told her pups. They, as in Waya's four pups had a different Father than that of Rosie's two pups. That wasn't a complete lie. For all the pups knew was that they're Father was a hybrid which made them much larger than Rosie's pure breed pups.
Waya smiled as she watched the black female pup pin one of Rosie's male pups. She grinned and she couldn't help but feel that they might end up together along the line. She sighed and watched the small family for a bit before turning around and heading back to her own family.
Waya returned back to the pack den site with a rabbit in her mouth, so that Truck knew she HAD been hunting, trying to make it seem she didn't reallly lie to him. Waya walked into the den and layed the rabbit beside Truck and began to groom Truck's face.
Truck smiled and licked Waya back as she settled in front of him. He was still curious as to why she was going out hunting every other day. He didn't put too much thought into it since she had just recently kill her pups, and thought that maybe she still needed time to get used to the loss. He looked at the rabbit, but didn't touch it. Truck stared at Waya, it seemed like she needed to tell him something.
"What is it?" he asked.
Waya looked up, not surprised that he saw her face looking thoughtful. "Truck. Um,.." she swallowed, not knowing how to tell him that he needs to lead the pack into another invasion on the Wolves of the Northlands. "Truck, we need to go back to the Northlands.." she whispered.
Truck laughed loudly. "Are you joking?!" he laughed.
"Why would I joke about stuff like this?" she asked seriously.
"Waya, darling. There's nothing left for you back there. You need to stop looking back. There's nothing you can do back there. You are my Queen, not Lee's." he told her, now getting serious.
"Truck, I know all that. But, thats not the reason why I need to go back. Those wolves back there...they're lost souls...I need to free them from Lee rein." she told him, looking deep into his eyes for a hint of sympathy, but there was none.
"No. There's nothing you can do to free them; if what you say is true."
"But, Truck..I--"
"You'll do no such thing!" Truck growled. "This conversation is over! You will not step toe into that territory! Do understand me?" he said to her in anger and protectivly.
"But, Truck..."
"Do you understand me?!" Truck snarled, now standing and glowering down at Waya.
"Yes..." Waya said defeated and hung her head.
"You won't go there?" he asked calmly.
"No..Truck. I will go there...I have to...It's what I am meant to do." she told him and also stood up, staring at Truck with hard stone eyes.
Truck growled at Waya and smacked her to the ground. He pinned her and glared down at her. "Waya! I don't want to lose you. For your safety you are not to leave this pack or cave! I will send a small battle army and kill Lee. Then, I'll let you go free form this cave. But from then on, you are confined to this cave." he told her and brushed past her.
Almost immediantly, two wolves stood in front of the entrance and stood guard.
Waya weeped, but not because she was struck down by Truck, but because she couldn't do anything now...
"Let me pass." it was Emily.
The two guards stood aside, but quickly took place in front of the entrance.
Emily walked to Waya and groomed her. "Waya, it's alright. You don't have to do this." she told her.
"No. I have to. We have to leave tonight. Truck will leave at dawn to get rid of Lee. Lee can't be killed! Truck will die!" Waya exclaimed.
Emily put her ears back and frowned.
"Emily, either leave me now or help me escape tonight at moon rise." Waya said seriously.
Emily sighed and looked up at Waya. "Do I have a choice?" Lily asked her. She wanted ot protect Waya, but Waya was headstrogn and defiant. If she had something set, she was going to do that and no Hell on Earth would stop her.
"Alright. I'll come back tonight and get rid of the guards. Then, you, me, and Dakota will leave for the Northlands and you will free us." she said with a smile.
Waya grinned.
"But, Waya. I am not supposed ot share this with you, but if you have the intention to kill Lee to free us...you'll need to know this information. And, I'm for certain, Truck knows this too, this is why he leaving to kill Lee himself. The one who kills the Leader must take its place to lead souls to the next world. Lee did this for some time, but he got lazy and decided to trap souls." she explained to Waya.
Waya hung her head and pinned her ears.
"I will see you tonight." said Emily and walked out. The guards once more stepped aside and blocked the entrance once more.
Waya looked up at the cave's cieling. "Brother...is this what you meant? Am I supposed to take Lee's place and free them and then lead souls to the Next World?" she asked.
Waya sighed and layed down, her back to the entrance.
Emily walked away and went to tell Dakota. She knew that Waya would have to think hard about this. She could lose Truck forever if she decides to kill Lee.
Emily walked over to Dakota and explained to him the plan.
Not too far was Truck watching Emily talk to Dakota. He sighed and looked at the sun high in the sky. "I will not let Waya take your place, Brother. I will kill you and save Waya." he said to the sun and turned away...
