Oh joy! And oh light!

Ever have we been sheltered in darkness
Waiting for the snow to cease
Hearing the wind's scream now lowering to a soft whisper
"Spring has come," it says ever so light

Light breaks through the clouds
Snow slowly receding from the land
Rebirth happening everywhere
Grass sprouting
Pups brought into the world
Robins and birds singings as they fly
Trees letting their leaves stretch high

As one we howl
We howl for thanks
We howl for love
We howl for life
And we howl...

For Spring has come!
