Silver Lilly

It was a cold night, and the pack didn’t know where to go and sleep.

“Aleu, we have to know where to go!” said Red Paw as he circled around the open grassland area. The night was dark and icy, and the moon wasn’t out to give out light to see. “I know where I am! I’m just confused where to go…….” Aleu said as she shivered in the black night. She was definitely lost, but she didn’t want to amid it that the pack was actually out in the middle of know where.” Silver Lilly was getting annoyed with Aleu and not leading the pack the right way, even though she is her cousin. “Aleu, why won’t we just sleep here for now until the sun will rise.” Silver Lilly said as she was giving some advice. The packs were sleepy and were starving for days of lack of food in the area. It was only a couple of months since they arrived on the new land with the caribou, but there is competition in the new area. A stronger wolf pack ruled the Aleutian Islands, and they practically stole the food from all the other packs. Their alpha leader was named Black Moon, and he was a very dark, black wolf who was very strong and wise. Aleu would be a perfect meal for him.

They heard ruffles in the bushes, and Aleu was starting to shake in fear while saying, “Who… Who are you in those bushes? I dare you to show yourself. ” she snarled, but the ruffle was another pack of wolves. It wasn’t Black Moon’s pack, but this pack was a friend to Aleu’s. “Oh, it’s just you Taga…..” Aleu said in relieve. “Hi, Aleu.” Taga said with a smile. Taga was the same age like Aleu, but she had reddish brown fur with black paws and bright blue eyes. But one thing differed from the two; Taga was a bit small for a wolf. She was the same size like a malamute, but she was just the runt of the litter. Then, the two had the same thoughts in their heads. “What if we combined our packs together?” Taga said with some hope in her voice. With the help of two packs, Black Moon and his pack would be in doom like he put other packs into. “It would be a good idea, because our packs combined would be strong, so what do you think guys?” Aleu asked her pack. Mainly all of them agreed. So the two packs became one, and they started to head west of the island, where mostly the food is.

Silver Lilly was hiding behind the bushes of a forested area. She was sneaking upon some elk, and the elk were eating the grass peacefully, not knowing what’s going on around them. Silver Lilly was about to make her move until a wolf from the other pack gotten in her way and scared the elk running toward the mountains. They didn’t chase them because they were too tired in the night. “How come you gotten in my way and what’s your name?” Silver Lilly said in anger to the other wolf. “First of all, this is my job, and second, my name is Blazen.” Said the wolf. He was a sturdy looking wolf. His fur coat was a very dark brown, and his under belly was a light, mocha color. Blazen had amber/ yellow eyes that had a strong gaze. At first he might look serious to you, but he is more of a humorous kind of personality that likes to joke around a lot. “So what’s your name?” he asked in a sly voice to her. “I’m…… I’m Silver Lilly.” She said as she stuttered her words. Silver Lilly was getting a weird feeling and butterflies were flying in her stomach. She was thinking about Blazen, but then her mind came back to reality and she gotten mad at him again for losing the caribou by scaring them off. “So, yeah. This is my job. Not yours.” Blazen said as he walked away. Silver Lilly just looked at him weirdly, but she was getting the butterflies again.

Silver Lilly has a silverish/ gray fur like her cousin Aleu’s, but just a little darker and shinier . She has bright green eyes that shine in the night. She is the same age like Aleu and tall like her. Basically, she and Aleu look like twins, but some parts just differ from them two. Silver Lilly loves Aleu like a sister sometimes, but sometimes the two argue about little stuff about the pack, but then they lover each other like sisters again. One day, Aleu was in a heap of trouble………………….

Black Moon’s pack was also on the western part of the island, and the two packs were fighting for food. “This is my land! So our pack gets the food and not your guy’s pack!” snarled Black Moon. They call him Black Moon because his fur was pure black and you could hear him howl to the moon every night when it’s out. “Just stay out of the area, besides our pack gotten to this island first while your pack followed us. Also, you over heard Nava and all the rest of us while talking about the caribou.” Aleu said as she was circling him. But then, Black Moon said, “Attack! Kill every single one of them!” He was fighting Aleu and the rest were fighting with everyone else. It was complete war going on, and there was a lot help needed. Silver Lilly was fighting with all her might. She bit and clawed many of the other wolves on Black Moons side, and basically they ran off to fight with some one else caught off guard. Then, Silver Lilly saw that Aleu was cornered by Black Moon. She was surrounded by mountain rocks and bluffs. “This is the end of it! Say good bye to everyone!” shouted Black Moon with a wickedness grin on his smirking face. Everyone stared. Even the other pack stared in grief. Aleu’s pack and Taga’s pack all stared in horror. They thought this was Aleu’s last living second of her life. Then Black Moon was about to claw Aleu in the throat until Silver Lilly went in front of her and snarled. Luckily, he didn’t claw Silver Lilly when she got in the way. “Move it you wolf!” he said in a grimace voice. “No.” she said calmly. Everyone gasped, including Blazen. No one ever spoke to Black Moon like that. Silver Lilly glared at him with her green eyes. He glared at her too, but her glare won him over. So Black Moon stepped back in caution. When he walked ten feet away from her, he said to his pack, “Come on, let’s move out!” so his pack walked off to the eastern side of the Aleutian Islands. “Thank you for saving my life Silver Lilly.” Aleu said with faith in her voice. Silver Lilly just smiled modestly. For that evening, they went out to hunt and find more caribou.

A couple days past, and the pack only found one caribou to eat. They had to share with each other, and so little food is left. The only reason why there is little food left is because the elk and caribou had crossed to go back to Alaska. When they crossed, the currents brought them back safely to Alaska in a very quick manner of time. Then, the ice wasn’t brought back to the Aleutian Islands, only leaving the wolf packs starving in the areas. They had nothing to do but sit around and wait until the currents go the opposite way and will bring the ice back.

“Hey Silver Lilly.” Said Blazen as he walked toward her to lay down right next to her. “H……Hi Blazen….” She said with in surprise as he sneaked toward her. She still gets the butterflies when comes near her. When he lied down next to her, his fur brushed against her coat. Then, Silver Lilly felt more butterflies in her stomach. “When will the ice ever come back?” Silver Lilly said as she whispered to herself. “I don’t know, but soon we will need ideas to get there as soon as possible.” Blazen said as he whispered back. It was just the two of them, and the sun was setting. “I need to go…” she said in a rush. More butterflies crept in stomach again, and she didn’t like the feeling. So she trotted off away from him and toward Aleu. When Aleu was around, she felt like she could tell her any thing. So the two of them were talking privately in the forest alone. “Aleu, how come I always get the butterflies when I am around Blazen?” Silver Lilly asked in a curious voice. Aleu grinned at her cousin. “I think some one has a crush on him.” Aleu said in a melody. Silver Lilly blushed. “I think your right….” She said. The two of them giggled and Aleu suggested, “Why won’t you tell him how you feel.” Silver Lilly paused for a second, then said, “What if he thinks I am crazy?!” she cried. “Well, then that’s his problem, but I think he likes you too, because he always gazes at you…..” Aleu said, but then she saw her cousin run off. Silver Lilly was going to now tell Blazen on how she feels.

She walked behind the bushes to where Blazen is. When she peeked over them, she saw something she didn’t want to see. It made her feel heartbreaking. Blazen was with another girl. Her name was Citlali, and she was the most gorgeous wolf there ever was. She had Shiny black fur with a pure, white under belly. She had bright, dazzling, blue eyes that made you stare in to for a long time. She was a little sturdier then Aleu and Silver Lilly, and her body looked more elegant then ever. When she gotten a better look from the two, she saw them gazing at the stars together. They were laughing, and it looked like they were having a good time. Their tails were holding one another’s, and the stars and moon looked so beautiful to see. The two never heard or noticed Silver Lilly until she shouted to Blazen, “I disgust you!” and she ran off into the Aleutian Island wilderness. “Silver Lilly? Wait…..” said Blazen as his voice trailed off when she was heading farther and farther away from him. Then, she stopped to take a break from running all those miles. She panted hard, and her body fell to the ground. She was about to fall asleep, but she saw a white wolf over her head. The white wolf howled, but the howl seemed to put her to sleep. It was soft like snow when hearing it. Silver Lilly passed out on the ground, and she was sleeping with dreams whirling her head.

Finally, Silver Lilly woke up from her dreams. She remembered seeing a wolf before she passed out, so she went out to look for it. She sniffed the air, and the scent the white wolf
