Love is Undying

By Aljan Darkmoon

The world is ever turning and ever changing

Its turn never ends

Such is the same for love

Over time, it too, changes

From a simple bond to something indescribable

From the heart is it felt

At times it can be soft as the wind

Other times it can be like an arrow through the heart

But as time passes

Wounds heal but never fully

Scars of ancient battles still linger

Though you’ve changed

I’ll remember and hold what we once shared deep within my heart

When you do hear a wolf’s cry in the distance

Remember the song I once sang

It is for all who I love

Family, friends, and foes

From the tallest mountain to the deepest valley

My song shall be carried

From the world we live in to the stars above

My song…my song of love…shall go on…
