It has been two months since Balto was forced to come with Quwelia and his unknown son, Hayter. They only fed him when they had scraps of what they at, which was only five or six times. He was getting weaker, and wasn't aloud outside, exept to go to the bathroom.

"Balto, you are one strong pup, I can't believe you even lived. You are lucky that Hayter doesn't like to see died wolves or you would be died RIGHT know," laaughed Quwelia.

"I need to go to the bathroom," said Balto.

"I need to go into town for a week, your son will take care of you for now," said Quwelia leaving.

"I heard you say that you need to go to the bathroom, come on," said Hayter walking towards the entrance.

Balto went to the bathroom and looked at his son, "Do you know the real story?"

"What?" asked Hayter.

"The real story of how your mother died?" asked Balto.

"Ofcoarse. You only wanted to use her to make pups, and your brother got mad at w hat you were doing and started to fight you, and then your brother pushed mom in the waterfall, but not on purpose," explained Hayter.

"Wrong, I had to have a mate if I wanted to come in the pack again when I had found them, your mother was the one that had used me, and i didn't even want  pups then. Palo was just trying to protect me, so he fought your mother and killed her to save me, your mother just wantes to kill me," explained Balto.

"why should I believe you, you never was here for me," growled Hayter.

"How would I, I never even new you were in your mother! If she even tried to tell I was busy with my other liiter, and I now for sure that she never wanted to tell me," said Balto trying not to growl.

Hayter sat down, and looked in Balto's eyes. Balto didn't stir, but he never saw a wolf do this in his life.

"What are you doing?" asked Balto. When Hayter didn't talk Balto also looked into his sons eyes and saw that his hazel green eyes were now amber, just like his, and know he new what he was doing. Balto has heard people talking about the great Aniu able to walk into other animals eyes and see what they did in their life.

"Know I know that you are ny son, you have some of the same powers as my mother," smiled Balto.

"What do you mean?" asked Hayter comeing back into focas.

"Do you know who your grandma is?" asked Balto.

"No," Hayter shook his head, " But, I will take you back into town dad."

Hayter started to walk towards Nome with Balto at his heals. Balto looked at his son and admired him, he reminded him of his self.

"You know, mom is gunna kill me when she finds out i let you back home," said Hayter.

"Not if you live with me," smiled Balto.

"Dad, I can't, I am more wolf than you, I belong with wolves," sighed Hayter.

"You can stay with me for a bit, but when it is safe, or when my daughter Alue comes and visit, you are going to live with her," said Balto.

"Really, you will do that for me?" asked Hayter looking suprised!

"Of coarse, you are my son," smiled Balto seeing the familiar town of Nome.

"You are the best,dad," smiled Hayter.

 

     When Hayter settled down on the boat and he and Balto got to talk for a little bit Balto remembered that he should go and see Rachel.

"Hey, Hayter would you want to go into town to see Rachel and Duke?" asked Balto.

"Sure, i should get to know your owner more," smiled Hayter getting up.

     Balto walked to the house and saw that the doggy door was closed. Balto scratched on the door. He heard feet shuffling and saw Duke open the door.

"Balto! Were have you been! I have looked every where for, I even went up in the air, come in," smiled Duke getting a dog bowl from the cabnets.

"Rachel?" called Balto.

"Boy if your looking for Rachel she has been over Jenna's a lot," said Duke putting the bowl down.

Balto wolfed down the food in five seconds flat, " They haven't fed you well uhh, oh who's this?"

Balto looked over at Hayter shuffling around feeling nervous around the town and Duke.

"He looks like you Balto, but more wolfish," smiled Duke putting a hand on Hayter. Hayter snapped at him and growled," OW!"

"Hayter! He's a human, and he was just petting you, know say your sorry," growled Balto.

Hayter did what he was told, and licked the cut that he had gave Duke.

"I guess he just isn't use to human conteact, but at least he said sorry and boy I forgive you, how about I call you Hayter?" said Duke getting the hand cloff to stop the bleeding, even though it wasn't that much.

"Come on Hayter, let's go and get Rachel," smiled Balto running off towards Jenna's home.

"Dad, don't you think it would weird haveing me there?'' asked Hayter.

"Ya, but we are just picking up rachel," smiled Balto.

When they got there he saw Jenna and Steele sitting on the poarch with Rachel mopping, and Rusty and Ricky fight playing.

"AWOOOOOooo!!" howled Balto.

Rachel looked up to see Balto, her tail started to wag fiercly and she started to run towards him.

"BALTO!! I thought you would never come back!" cried Rachel nuzzling Balto, "Who's that?"

"Hayter, he's my son," said Balto. He looked at Jenna and saw her eyes burn with hate.

"What, I thought," said Rachel.

"It's a really long story," said Balto.

"Oh and I umm, told evrything that you told me to mom, I thought you were dead, and daddy's been saying more mean stuff about you and I really hate it," said Rachel.

"Your father hates me it's natual and look at you my be older then a pup, but younger than a teen but you act like a grown up," smiled Balto.

"Are you staying this time?" asked Rachel.

"Yah, but if you told everything to Jenna, then why is she still mad at me?" asked Balto.

"I don't know," shrugged Rachel.

"She thinks you are liveing with mom," said Hayter.

"How would you know that?" growled Rachel.

"He's nice Rachel, he let me go," smiled Balto. Rachel looked at him, and seemed calmer.

"I don't know I jus looked into her eyes, dad will she be my mom?" said Hayter.

"No, and I think you have more Aniu in me than i do," smiled Balto.

"STEELE TIME TO GO!" called Steeles owner.

Steele said goodbye to Jenna and his two sons and ran off to his owner.

"Balto I want you to talk to mom," said Rachel pulling Balto towards Jenna.

"What, n-hi Jenna" said Balto when they were at the porch. Balto looked behind him and saw that Hayter was comeing forward but makeing sure it was a safe area.

"Hi Balto," said Jenna trying not to growl.

"Balto I want you to tell her that you weren't cheating on her," whined Rachel.

"Rachel you said you already told her, and plus she's with Steele know," said Balto.

"What if she heard it from me dad?" asked Hayter who just sat next to Balto.

"is that your son with that Qwela girl?" growled Jenna.

Balto pricked up his ears, "Your jelous?"

"What no," growled Jenna.

"You never growl unless you are mad atthe kids or your jelous," said Balto,"You still like me."

Jenna blushed a little, "I'm over you and you already have a mate!"

"I had one true mate Jenna and that was you, I had to be mates with that that devil or I wasn't aloud to be in the pack. My brother pushed her of  a waterfall I didnt even know she was alive I was GLAD she was gone!" explained Balto with his rage kicking in a little.

"Why would I believe you anyway?" growled Jenna.

"Because, I don't know," sighed Balto.

"Because you still love him," said Hayter with his eyes amber instead of hazel green.

"How would you know that and no i do not," said Jenna.

"He can tell Jenna. You know that my mother was the Great Aniu, or the white wolf that's on the todem pole, he has her blood in him and he also has the power that she had had," said Balto.

"Rusty Ricky you guys go inside and warm up, you too Rachel," said Jenna.

"Why?" asked Rachel.

"Balto and I are going to take a walk," said Jenna getting up seeing Balto walk behind her.

"Hayter go back to the boat, boris will take care of you," said Balto walking after Jenna when he new Hayter was going to the boat.

     "So why did you want to take a walk?" asked Balto.

" So Rachel Ricky and Rusty won't have to listen to this, well Rachel wouldn't mind," laughed Jenna nervously.

"What do you mean Jenna?" asked Balto.

"Balto I really do miss you, but I like Steele but not love, I never did. I just well," sighed Jenna.

"Your afraid of Steele aren't you?" said Balto stopping.

Jenna just looked at her feet and sighed. Balto knew that she was afriad of Steele before but never new that she was this afriad.

"I'll break the knews to Steele, I mean if you umm want, while you break the news to Ricky and Rusty, " said Balto.

"Oh Balto thank you," smiled Jenna nuzzling Balto.

"I missed that nuzzle," laughed Balto accepting the nuzzle.

Balto went back to the house with Jenna and sniffed up Steeles smell. He found him on the beach with his new team, Balto's dad's team.
