Ch.14:love or prince?

   Okami waked me down a hall through the casile.Everyone went off somewhere else to do what  they want.There was a small door leading to the throun room."why isn't the door bigger?"I asked her as we walked to the 2 foot door."Due to the war,The Emerald Stone that lies in the  room watched by the king & queen.The stone locates all the people in the lunar kingdom.If the vampires get to it,they will kill us all,"she said as she turned into a black & red wolf  & walked through the door.I followed by turning into my black-fured self.
 
  Once inside I turned back & so did Okami.The room was walled & floored with pure white marble.Curtains of icy velvet blue hung on the windows.On beautifully crafted wooden throuns
there were two wolves.One looked gentle & sweet.It had black fur that was all in order & well brushed,the eyes were silver like Okami's only with more blue hint to it.The black wolf was slim as if it hadn't had a good meal lately.

   The other wolf was the total opposite.It's fur was brownish amber that was shaggy on the head chest & stomach.The eyes were dark but emerald stone green like my own.It was more musculer & strongly built.On the left ear there was a gold clip or ringish ear peice with a red colored gem hanging off.The same was with the other wolf only blue."Okami,your father has been worried.So with your tutors & I of course"the black wolf said in a female voice smiling.

   The female looked at me."Oh who might this be?"she got up & ran down the 3 stares turning  into a beautiful woman with long black hair that touched the small of her back.She was still solf looking.There was a faint scar that looked like a moon on her forhead & the ear peice was still there.The male wolf stood up & turned to a man that was a head taller than me & was about 40 years old.He was still strongly built & fit looking.He didn't seem pleased  that his mate was looking at a younger male."Alice,don't think to take too much interest in  him.You never know if it would be an assassin,"he said in a husky voise.

   She looked at him."Nonesence,Jeremy.Okami would never do such,"she said & turned back to us."So whom might you be?"her voise was like a song I heard thousands of times when I was a baby."This is your son,your highness.Ashton James Freeman,after so many years of seperation,"Okami answered before I got the chance to think.Alice had a sudden pain in her eyes."No,this can't be him.Unless he has the scar of the Freeman's."she turned me around "May I just lift your hair & lower the coller of your shirt for a moment?"she asked.I nodded.Her hot fingers ran to the back of my neck pulling up my hair while the other hand pulled my shirt down a little in the back.

   She traced her finger in the shape of a moon on my neck & spine joint."He...has the scar.The birthmark of our family,"I heard Alice say.Okami showed a finger motion to turn around.She backed off & looked at me as I turned.Her eyes were full of happy joyous tears."Ash!"she embraced me greatly.Jeremy walked down the stairs showing that he was the dominment one.Alice backed off & moved a lock of my hair out of my face."Its been far too long.We missed you greatly with all of our hearts,my son,"she said."m-mother?father?"I couldn't beleive I was finily meeting my blood parents,the ones that birthed me!

   Father came to me & moved my bangs out of my eyes & looked into them.I stared back at him.He smiled a little saying,"Well he truely is our son.No one but a Freeman can have those kind of eyes."I looked back at Okami.She was in wolf form acting as if some human kicked her  saying that she was useless & to get out of his sight.I felt bad for her.I got what I wanted & tossed her aside like nothing mattered but my parents.I didn't want this to happen to her.I lost her physicly,now I was starting to lose her mentaly.I didn't want to feel the pain I went through the first time,not now & not again...ever again.

   I promised myself I would see her later tonight.When the moon was up I made sure that the door was locked before leaving my bedroom.I grabbed a cloke to hide who I was & stood on the  rail of my balcony.Looking down I wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do.But I had to  do it & remeber for who I was doing it for.I jumped down in my half form,not wolf yet not quit human.I didn't know much about the town here or where everyone here lived.I tried to remember her last name...Silverstone? Moonlight? Blackheart?That was it!Blackheart.I walked through town up to a map that I could barely read with my very shrap eyes.A lady somewhere in her late 20's with a child by her side came up behind me."Exscuse me,young gentalman.But are you looking for somewhere?"she asked me in a nearly whispering voise."Um...yes where might the Blackheart house hold be?I was sent by the King to deliver a message to the father  of that name,"I lied to her.

   She pointed north back to the casile & said that the house with a odd looking picture of an odd black heart & red lining around it on a wooded plank would be the one I was looking for.I thanked her &  walked to the house there.It was a very unusual picture.It looked like the black hearts on my video games Kingdom Hearts & Kingdom Hearts 2.I shook my head to remeber why I was here again.The house seemed dark exsept for a candle on the first floor.That had to be the parents room.I remebered what one of my friends back at school on Earth said,"When people move into a 2 story house that has 3 bedrooms,the eldest daughter would get the top left room & the younger siblings to get the top right."Krysta never failed even if it were a lie it somehow ended in truth.I walked to the window where Okami's room might be.I took a deep breath & jumped to her window pane.I grew a long wolf claw & clicked the lock open pulling up the window to get in.She was laying calm & asleep on the bed with the covers going up to her torso.She was so silent laying there unmoved but her breathing.

   I got out a necklace I made out of some metal & the mystic fire topaz I found on our journy & placed it on her neck.I bent my head down to her ear & whispered,"I'm so sorry,Okami."I brushed the back of my hand over her cheek.I looked at the back of the pedent on her necklace that said,"my heart is yours.love,Ash."I wished that she was awake so  I could see what her face would look like when she saw the gift & I would kiss her showing that I truely would love only her & would do whatever it takes to protect her. But I couldn't do that,not now.I got up to leave heading for the window & was about ready to head home but I heard my name escape her lips.

   I turned to see if she was awake & she was just singing in her sleep beautifully esactly like Amy Lee in the song broken,"The worst is over now...& we can breath again.I want to hold you high & steal my pain away...theres so much left to learn & no one left to fight.I want to hold you high & steal your pain.Cause I'm broken when I'm open & I don't feel right when I'm strong enough.Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome & I don't feel right when your gone away..."

   I looked away & ran back home.Once at the balcony I looked out to the kingdom singing the first part of the song,the part where Seether sang,"I wanted you to know that I love the way you laugh.I want to hold you high & steal your pain away.I keep your photograph & I know it surves me well.I want to hold you high & steal your pain.Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome & I don't feel right when your gone away"

   I held back my tears looking at the moon with pain.No way I was strong enough to hold them back.They slid down my face like two long silver water falls.I gripped the rail of the balcony & my claws dug into the cold iron railing.I needed to sleep.I could easily feel this  in my limbs,I was growing weak with the past few days of lack of sleep & food.I went back into my bedroom & sat at the edge of the bed.I let my weakness fill me as I fell on the bed's soft matrus & sought some sleep for the night.
