out of there without even looking at Summer, not that she'd be able to see him through her tears anyway. He hated her for sure now. He discovered what she did..what the green-eyed monster inside her did. She'd never be able to win his heart now. She couldn't believe it took this to realize that she was trying to steal everything from her friend. Her cousin. When she herself had nothing to start with. No one was going to love her. She couldn't have pups. She was crippled. And no one wants a broken girl.

The next time Sadie saw Stunner, Meg was taking her for a walk and the red hybrid was glaring at her. Summer must have told her what happened. Stunner had to refrain herself from growling at Sadie and making a scene. Both of them knew that Stunner wouldn't tell anyone what Sadie did, even if now her own daughter respected her less than she did before she met Sadie. Both of them knew that Sadie was going to have a difficult time finding a mate. More gossip was the last thing anyone needed.

Unfortunately, their paths had to cross. Sadie hoped nothing would be said, but what Stunner said to her at last was shaky, yet hurtful: "I hope you're happy."
