Afraid.Two-legs everywhere. Run. Must escape. Need to escape but help the pack, that's first. Jump. I Fly in front of Two-leg. GRR. Yelp. Yelp. PAIN. Hurt. Must run but hurt, Hurt in leg. Hurt spreads, spreads through Whole body. run. fall. scramble. Black....
     I wake. much time has gone. clouds of smells in my nose, unidentifiable horrible smells. from where? Remember. Must remember. but just flicks of memory of what happened. I stand. that Smell. grr. It scares me. Afraid. the Smell, It's of Two-legs. AFRAID. Flat under paws. this land, the... rock? it's flat. I dig. scratch. scramble. my claws Rip and Dig.... but nothing, nothing. RUN, DIG, SCRATCH... TRAPPED. then I remember. afraid. black.
     this time when I wake it is dark. Home, I can smell home. trees, earth. this is right. or it would be. my pack, where are they? yip. Yelp. Howl. I howl load, real loud, for the whole forest to hear. no one responds. again I howl. again nothing. a small hurt has come back to my leg now, as I Run. it is only small against the hurt now in my heart. a longing. for a long time, longing. for my pack.
