Prologue-
A black and white husky, with gray circles under his eyes stood there. He looked up at the White Wolf who stood there with her eyes washed over with sympathy. The younger husky shouted,
"No! This cannot happen! I have many more years to come in Nome!" He screamed with such a voice.
"I am so sorry. But I can't help you. This is your fate. That is something I can't do for you. You know, I may be able to see everyone's visions, and dreams, and prophecys, but I can't fix this for you." The she-wolf looked sorrowful. Then, another animal approached. This mutt had light brown circles on his eyes, with dark brown fur. His eyes were aburn brown.
"He is so young. I can't believe what's gonna happen to him. He should have had many more seasons in Alaska. But whatever you do, don't let this inter fear with what you've got left kid."
"Thanks Balto." The young dog smiled as he spoke.
"But as you should be told now," the White Wolf continued, "this is for only you to know. Do NOT tell anyone else about this. This is your fate only, therefore, this is only for your notice." She spoke with sharp words.
"Until then, farewell young one." Then all of the ghostly images disappeared into the darkness.
CHAPTER 1-
Saska chewed on her bone, harshly. She nibbled until her son, Blitzen appeared.
"Hello honey. How was your trip to Los Vegas?"
"It was long!!!" Saska chuckled.
"Well, the important thing is that it was fun. So, was it fun?"
"Yeah I guess so. Say, where's Dad?"
"He went over to Your sister Apache's house, to say hello."
"Oh. Well, I'm gonna see Steele."
"Your great grandfather? OK. Just be careful though, cause he is very old."
"OK. See ya later Mom." Without any further words, Blitzen padded off to the other side of town. He finally reached Steele's house. But only his owner was there, and he sighed. Blitzen heard the man say,
"Steele was such a great dog. He didn't deserve this." Blitzen took in the hint word-was. This meant that Steele was dead. Balto had died at 11 years old, and Steele died at 13 years. Jenna was still living safe in her home though. Blitzen padded off to his own home where he found a strange, female dog he didn't know about. He was about to shout at her to leave, when he smelled a sweet scent that female dogs had only for about twice a year. So he simply walked up to her.
"Hello there young lady. My name's Blitzen. What's yours?"
The female stopped short, and turned her head. She was a white siberian husky with bright blue eyes. She raised one eyebrow suspiciously, and answered,
"Hello, Blitzen. I'm Angel. It's very nice to meet you. I've seen you before."
"You have?" he asked in awe and surprise.
"You are always running after your friends across the beach." she replied. Blitzen strolled casually beside this girl. they walked and talked for hours, sharing likes and dislikes, and even flirting with each other.
"You're a great friend," Angel told Blitzen. His face began to flush with akward embarresment.
"Yeah, so are you. I mean, I've never really got in connection with anyone esle before," he confessed guiltly. Angel snickered.
"I guess we're meant for each other, you know? Maybe more than friends. I need a soul-mate sometime. I'm gettin' lonely."
Blitzen nuzzled her delecately, and whispered in her ear,
"It's all right. We're meant to be." The snow fell around them, and the moonlight shone onto their backs. Despite the cold weather, they felt warm, where they belonged.
Well, Angel did. Blitzen couldn't ignore the sloshy feeling rolling in the pit of his stomach, like something out there was calling out to him- as if he couldn't escape whatever danger was coming after him. He would have liked to stay here with Angel, to let her know things would be okay. But she didn't know his heritage. And he didn't know how that would effect his relationship. If they split, he would become Mr. Lonely.

Blitzen paced in front of Angel's doghouse. She was an angel when she was asleep. He licked the side of her face, and then he trotted off to the northern part of Alaska. He knew he would hurt Angel, but he had to complete this journey. He was rotten for Angel; she deserved more than him. She could have world's most famous dogs, and it still wouldn't be enough. Treading off to a wolf pack where he was once born, he went over many different things in his head. What would Angel think of him after this? Would he even make it back home alive? Blitzen's head spun with mild confusion and he sniffed the air. There was no sign of any danger, but he could never really know that for sure. Blitzen heaved a heavy, exasperating sigh and glanced to the north. Snowy ice caps were sitting down, sparkling in the moonlight and he shivered. The eeire sound of a wolf's howl echoed through the trees and Blitzen padded his way through the woods. He stopped abruptly, knowing that there was something there. He sniffed the air and inhaled with a sharp gasp. A bear was nearby and he didn't want to get into a fight anytime soon. Crouching low with his belly to the ground, Blitzen snooped around cautiously. The wind blew a chill and he shivered again. Then by accident, he stepped on a twig. The bear had heard it, Blitzen knew that much because there was heavy panting and heaving behind him and he exploded through the trees. Only then did he stumble into another animal. Fortunately for him, it was the wolf pack he'd been looking for.
A tall, black male stood before Blitzen and he knew it was the alpha male. This wolf had blended into the darkness, a king of the night. His muscales rippled in the moonlight and despite the fact that Blitzen was on his territory, he felt completely safe. The bear would be killed if the pack was here. The bear was dumb anyhow to have wandered into another animal's territory. At once, the colossal ebony wolf leaped onto the bear, instantly injuring the bear's hind leg. It's deafening cry was a shriek that echoed through the entire forest. More wolves followed and used all of their strength on the bear. Once it had fallen over, defeated, the ebony wolf had turned to face Blitzen. Blitzen started to feel terrified, and he coward down into a little ball, and the ebony wolf barked, signaling the others to surround Blitzen. Were they going to kill him?
